LP Hand Eins is a typeface designed by German type designer Peter Langpeter. LP has been running his own design studio since 1995, working as a typeface and logo designer, as a calligrapher, cartographer and illustrator. During this time LP created a large number of excellent new typeface designs. LP Hand Eins is well-suited for plenty of applications, e.g. personal correspondence, invitations, greeting cards etc.

For the font design project, I had decided to make a typeface which would reflect the style architectural of Zaha Hadid. My purpose was the presentation of a font to her as Zaha Hadid was alive during my project process. But nearly at the end of the project we unfortunately received the death news of her. Her life wasn't long enough to see the project completed.

Augustea was designed by Alessandro Butti and Aldo Novarese and is one of the most popular classical, monumental letterforms featureing a stone cut effect. This font is based on the classic proportions of Capitalis, which dates back to the first century AD during the reign of Augustus. It should be set with a widely spaced bias. Augustea is distinguished by its balanced, classic and majestic image.

During trips to the Miami Beach Public Library as a youth, Jeff Levine first caught sight of the signs made with a product called the Webway Sign Cabinet, manufactured by the Holes- Webway company of St. Cloud, MN. Having purchased an old set, Jeff has carefully re-drawn the alphabet and unique contrasting numbers from the original assortment, adding in an extended character set to his font.

The Afeesh typeface is an attempt to create a solid and robust type family, that is based on the Ruq'a calligraphy style. Following the Egyptian style of drawing Ruq'a, which was very popular on movie posters during the 50s-70s. The typeface comes with an extensive set of ligatures, and opentype features such as swash and stylistic alternates. Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, in addition to Kurdish are supported.

Domosed typeface was build during lockdown. As a result of home sitting it appears in two weights. It refers to Italian futurism when all generation understand global changes of industrial revolution. The forth industrial revolution appears with new rules but the main idea is the same – simplifying the processes. Causing the vibe of a bright phenomenon I want you to use my font to match to zeitgeist.

This playful Art Deco classic was inspired by one of many posters produced by the WPA by anonymous artists during the 1930s. An inline version has been added to spice up the visual interest and add a touch of class. Both versions of the font include complete Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1524 character sets, with localization for Moldovan, Romanian and Turkish.

While designing Trajan, Carol Twombly was influenced by the style of carved letters produced by the Romans during the first century AD. Twombly completed the design, adding numerals and punctuation, as well as a bolder version to allow for text emphasis. Most importantly, her interpretation of the ancient style resulted in a font family whose clarity and beauty come across in modern printed materials.

This font provides a typical set of characters for the ancient Nabataean language, used in what is now Jordan and adjoining regions during the period of the Roman Empire, based on lapidary letter-forms of the first century of the present era. It includes a full set of alphabetic characters as well as the ancient numeral forms, with ligatures and variant shapes for some numerals.

LP Horizont Caps is another new font creation from German designer Peter Langpeter (lp-design.de). LP has been running his own design studio since 1995, working as a typeface and logo designer, as a calligrapher, cartographer and illustrator. During this time LP created a large number of excellent new typeface designs. LP Horizont Caps is a very futuristic looking, sharp and elegant sans serif.

There is an interesting story about this vintage professional Mercedes typewriter I’ve used to make this font. My grandfather, who was a Yugoslavian partisan during the WWII captured it from a Wehrmacht command building during an attack, and he kept it in a perfect shape for so many years. After I inherited it, I wanted to share it’s uniqueness (as well as it’s story). I’ve intentionally kept it in it’s original condition - I haven’t replaced the ribbon that was some 34 years old (or more) before sampling the font, and it turned out really nice. One more important thing - I have used ONLY it’s original set of characters (Latin with some Balkan-based letters). With it’s untouched originality and uniqueness it fits to our modern culture perfectly. There are no compromises here - there are no popular @,#,$ and other characters you would expect in a font. You will get EXACTLY what’s on this genuine “Mercedes” typewriter with so much soul.

The Latin, or Roman, alphabet was originally adapted from the Etruscan alphabet during the 7th century BC to write Latin. Since then it has had many different forms, and been adapted to write many other languages. According to Roman legend, the Cimmerian Sibyl, Carmenta, created the Latin alphabet by adapting the Greek alphabet used in the Greek colony of Cumae in southern Italy. This was introduced to Latium by Evander, her son. 60 years after the Trojan war. There is no historical evidence to support this story, which comes from the Roman author, Gaius Julius Hyginus (64BC - 17AD). The earliest known inscriptions in the Latin alphabet date from the 6th century BC. It was adapted from the Etruscan alphabet during the 7th century BC. The letters Y and Z were taken from the Greek alphabet to write Greek loan words. Other letters were added from time to time as the Latin alphabet was adapted for other languages.

Roos ST is a special version of the Roos family, engineered specifically for science writing. It is equipped with SciType, a combination of additional characters and OpenType programming included in the fonts to help with typesetting science text. For more information about SciType, please consult the SciType FAQ available in the Gallery section of this page. The Roos design is the Dutch classic made by S. H. de Roos during the years of the second World War, and subsequently used for a special edition of the Dutch Constitution on which Juliana took the oath during her inauguration as the Queen of the Netherlands. This design is widely regarded as de Roos's finest, and has one of the most beautiful italics ever drawn. Aside from the SciType additions, all the Roos ST fonts contain OpenType features for ligatures, ordinals, automatic fractions, and seven kinds of figures. Suburban Collier is a dreamy, humanist demi-serif sister of Romford Stencil typeface. It was created during the COVID-19 pandemic and its name is inspired by Collier Row, a suburban area of Romford, East London (UK). Suburban Collier features subtle ligatures, an alternative ‘a’ and supports Western, Central, Southern, and Eastern European as well as Pinyin. Use it to add character to your body copy or as fancy display text.

A 1918 poster issued during World War I from the YWCA encouraged women to pitch in to the war effort by joining the “United War Work Campaign”. The Art Nouveau hand lettering of that poster was a slight throwback to the “Western” or “Victorian” style of typography because of the characters having split serifs. This is now available as Village Hall JNL, in both regular and oblique versions

Leaders is a decorative blackletter typeface. Created by Måns Grebäck during 2020, this medieval style lettering can be used for modern contexts that require a touch of flourishing, as well as any middle age art or festive occation. OpenType functions such as ligatures and alternates are present in the typeface. It contains numbers and all symbols and punctuation you'll ever need. The font also has support for European, Latin-based languages.

Of the many lettering gurus who published chapbooks on handlettering during its heyday, one of the most prolific was H. C. Martin. This quirky poster face was offered in one of his many Idea Books, and it remains as fresh and frolicsome today, some seventy years later, as when it first appeared. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

After I created my font Montello, I decided to continue with the classic connected font look. Meet Panettone. Panettone is a sweet bread loaf, originally from Milan, which is usually served during Christmas. Of course, you could use my Panettone script for your Christmas cards, but Panettone won’t look bad on invitations, book covers and products that need a classy look. Comes with ligatures for letters that just don’t connect well.

A nostalgic font referencing the 1920s and 1930s during the Golden Age of Hollywood, art moderne and the rise of luxury items. Highly geometric with wild variations in glyph widths that demand attention. Smart Deco is a display font with clean simple lines, tall ascenders and expressive Capitals that descend below the baseline. The intention is to create a sleek elegance that symbolizes the sophistication of a bygone era.

During this time LP created a large number of excellent new typeface designs. Now, we are extremely happy that LP has chosen to let URW digitally produce and market his designs.

I have always liked Weeping Willows, they sort of remind me of China. During my years as a tour guide, I spent a lot of time in China and I can tell you that the Chinese love weeping willows - they plant them everywhere! Weeping Willow was created using a Japanese brush pen (bought in China actually…). It comes with double letter ligatures and a bunch of swashes as well.

This sans-serif type family of two weights plus matching italics. Influenced by the geometric-style sans serif faces that were popular during the 1920s and 30s, the fonts are based on geometric forms that have been optically corrected for better legibility. Vitage has a functional look with a warm touch. It is manually hinted and optimized for screens, so it will be a good choice for Websites, eBooks or Apps.

Although wood types were at their peak of use during the letterpress era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, there is a growing revival movement of "boutique" print shops who have embraced the look and texture of this form of printing. More modern in design that many of its counterparts, Pleasantwood JNL is still a nice addition to the wood type library re-drawn digitally by Jeff Levine Fonts.

Rundfunk-Antiqua was originally designed as a font for small point size and shorter texts. It was presented 1933/35 by Linotype Designstudio but unfortunately never developed as a font family, including only Antiqua roman and sans-serif bold. Such an unusual combination resulted from the font combinations common during that time. The font’s basic forms tend toward the Transitional style but its details come from the influence of Jugendstil.

The Federal Art Project of the WPA (Works Progress Administration) employed artists to create posters for various subjects including health, tourism, safety, patriotism, theater and the arts during the Great Depression years of the 1930s on through the early 1940s. One health-related poster had the word “against” in a thin Art Deco monoline which served as the basis for Wellness JNL, which is available in regular and oblique versions.

The Danish designer Nina Lee Storm designed Noa for use on television and computer screens during the late 1990s. She began her six-member type family with the creation of bitmap fonts, developing their print outlines only secondarily. Noa’s letters exhibit a tall x-height, coupled with very short ascenders and descenders. Storm is proud to report that her typeface also looks very “Danish.” Why don't you give it a try?

I have no particular love for pigeons, but I read an interesting article about war pigeons being used to send messages to an fro. One pigeon (called William of Orange) even saved more than 2000 soldiers during the Battle of Arnhem. Pigeon Post is a lovely cartoon and kids font. It comes in a sans and a serif style, so there’s really no excuse for not using it!

Colonna is an inline roman typeface with some very elegant letterforms, based on artwork obtained by Stanley Morison during 1926 as part of a program to increase the range of display faces in the Monotype library. The letters of the Colonna font have an inscriptional feel about them, figures are non-ranging. Originally developed as an advertising face, Colonna is at its best when used in large sizes.

The Majapahit was a Javanese Hindu empire in Southeast Asia that was based on the island of Java. It existed from 1293 to circa 1527 and reached its peak of glory during the era of Hayam Wuruk, whose reign from 1350 to 1389 was marked by conquests that extended throughout Southeast Asia. I was inspired to make fonts with our history, by creating font names from our history

Canadian Serge Pichii was inspired by decorative lettering produced during the early 1920s by Jan Tschichold to create Ironwork. Similarly, his ITC Ancestor family was influenced by early work, but in this case, much earlier work: the characters carved by native British Columbian people on solid rock. He worked with anthropologists and linguists to produce a series of books dedicated to the history and culture of the people.

David Berlow drew Romeo Medium Condensed during winter of 1990, basing the design on the Estrecha Fina weight of Electra, a spectacular art deco sanserif with an unusually fine condensed series. Carlos Winkow designed it circa 1940 for the Nacional typefoundry of Madrid, the leading typefoundry in Spain. Jill Pichotta drew the ultra-light Skinny Condensed, a digital tour de force released with Medium Condensed; FB 1990–91

Sunny Sam is a fun handwritten typeface. It was drawn and created by Måns Grebäck during 2019 and 2020. The movements of this happy script font represents optimism and vivacity. Sunny Sam comes in three high-quality styles: Thin, Medium and Bold. The three weights works great as complements to one another. It has an extensive lingual support, covering European Latin scripts. Oceanside Sans is a display typeface produced in 2022 by Bepop Font Foundry. This typeface was born out of a month-long trip to the Bahamas. The scenery, both natural and architectural, was stunning, yet restrained. Each settlement featured its own flavor of beautiful hand-painted signs promoting local businesses - fresh fish & Conch, liquor, ice, gifts, and more. Oceanside pays homage to the visual vernacular of the islands we visited during our stay.

Calligra is a single weight display font derived from a serif roman. It works well for headlines and can be used also well in text. It supports English, Spanish, French, German, Extended Latin, Greek and more. The name Calligra came from calligraphy which was the main style we followed during creating this font. Trop Magus is a rugged typeface following in the tradition of Ramon Llull and Jean Jannon. Llull’s illuminated manuscripts from the Middle Ages inspired many later Alchemical texts in the Renaissance. And it was during this era, in 1615, that Jannon cut the matrices for Typi Academiae. The Trop Magus typeface includes: - Sixty-five Alchemical and Astrological symbols - Multi-language glyph set - Old Style figures - Four sets of alternate glyphs - Pseudo-Random OpenType features

Based on a hand lettered sample from the early 20th Century, Gibson Girl is a heavy script font with a vintage flair. During the end of the 19th Century, the “Gibson Girl” created by illustrator Charles Gibson, was considered the ideal of feminine beauty and poise in that time period. The term has become associated with the Gilded Age in America. The design of the Gibson Girl font reflects both femininity and self confidence.

Tassista means taxi in Italian. It suits this typeface well as the source of inspiration is the closing credits from the film Taxi driver, directed by Martin Scorsese in 1976. The typeface is designed to perform especially well in smaller sizes and makes it suitable for various credit copy, footnotes etcetera, nearly always presented in minor sizes. During the designs process it seemed more logical to make small caps instead of traditional lowercases.

Sharpe is a stylish serif typeface family. The type has been drawn by Måns Grebäck during 2018 and 2019. It is clear, sharp and has brave, lively letter forms but with a conservative backbone. The five font weights balance beautifully in contrast to each other, and each weight has an italic equivalent, totaling in ten styles from Thin to Black. Each style contains ligatures and support for a wide range of languages.

Middle Ages is a hand-drawn medieval type, designed by Måns Grebäck during 2019. With its blackletter style it works great in many historical context typesettings, as well as for traditional Christmas projects. It has a Gothic style that also works well for rock music genres, or for tattoos and other rough graphics. The font is multilingual and supports all Latin-based European languages, contains numbers and all symbols you'll ever need.
