Songlines is based upon a pen-drawn script drawn by Michael Harvey to illustrate a poem by Johannes Thurman. The expressive and rough-edged letterforms of Songlines do not have any lowercase characters. Instead, alternative uppercase characters occupy their positions. By using a mixture of upper-case and lowercase characters, text can be given a very lively and vigorous character. For example, the two versions of L are designed to overlap and interact whichever way round they are used. BMX Radical is inspired by the titles of the cult 1980s BMX movie "Rad". The characters R, A and D were designed after this, with the rest of the character set being completely made up. The font is uppercase only, but with two different alphabets. In OpenType-capable applications, engaging contextual alternates will make the alphabets automatically switch between each other, meaning double letter combinations always contain two different glyphs to give the text a much more handmade feel. The inspiration source for Verre Monogram is an unusual hand-drawn letterset from a vintage embroidery publication which comes off more as a Drop Cap or Initial lettering style than monogram. Although its original intention is uncertain, it has many possibilities. This monogram design from the early 1900’s has been updated from a Capitals only to a Caps/Smallcaps set with decorative linking ornamentation. Slurm is a hand-drawn fun font that is ideal for use in headlines, descriptions and logotypes used in product design and similar applications. In longer texts it works well as a complementary font for comics and illustrations. Various sizes and weights for individual characters are derived from the hand-drawn font. Each glyph is an original; no shapes are repeated. Ligatures have been created for double letters and the typeface includes diacritics for languages that use Latin letters. The typeface features two basic styles, Regular and Bold, which can be used separately just as well as combined. Each style also includes pictures that can be used for various occasions.

Purpose of the project was to design a standing out modern serif which revolves around reverse contrast. Width of strokes is fully reversed. Weight, width and contrast are regular while x-height is high. It contains uppercase and lowercase letters and lining figures. Pilfnof is perfect for use in Branding and Publications. It can be used both for text as well as headings and titles. Heavy weights are ideal for headlines while light weights are suitable for body text.
