Jutlandia Pro is a redesign of Jutlandia Slab. About the Jutlandia font family: made for straightforward and functional typographic design. One of the guys is a simple, highly legible, mono lined comic book font. Simple, yes, but full of personality! Use it as it is, or spice up your text by using the extra layer. The extra layer could be ghouly slime, birthday cake cream, snow or whatever your imagination figures out!

The two great technical constraints a type designer can tackle are low resolution, which limits detail and dictates proportions between negative and positive shapes, and uniform width, which restricts each letter to a fixed horizontal space. Wrestle with both at once, and each letter becomes a black-and-white chessboard that challenges every design decision. Sometimes battling these constraints gets in the way of a good idea, but other times, tinkering with fewer options can make the job irresistibly easy and lead straight to a grid addiction. Gridlite, an experiment with a modular negative space, is the side effect of such an addiction. It’s simplified, monospaced, and variable: foreground and background alike are ready to be animated, typed, scaled up, scaled down, rounded, or otherwise deformed. Gridlite is primarily a variable font with axes that control the size of the elements, their shape, and the background (one for the rectangular field and one for the compact envelope around the letters). The fonts cover Cyrillic, Greek, and Latin scripts. Small caps are included, for no apparent reason ... and there is a monospaced elephant, too.

"Punk is not dead, grunge is not dread, skateboarding and grafitti is forever" - shouted by some (possibly drunk!) person one late night. I had these "wise" words in the back of my mind, while making this font. I wanted to capture the wildness of both punk/grunge/skateboarding and grafitti without overdoing any of them!

Picking up a concept of Fritz Richter, Circensis is the realization of an adorned diplay font which had not been hitherto available, neither as a hot-metal font nor digitally. It is a great and legible font for circus and variety ads and posters, as well as for films, cafés, ice-cream parlors etc.

Eyeballs was designed at Bitstream by designer David Robbins. Its beginnings can be found in Bitstream’s Old Dreadful No. 7, where Mr. Robbins first conceived the capital I. He was later asked by Bitstream to develop the entire character set. The result is a humorous meld of cartoon and typography. A word of caution: Watch how you use it!

DF Mercat is a tribute to the famous marketplace situated at ‘La Rambla’ in Barcelona's historic centre. The term Sanseki (Japanese for Three [Brush] Traces) is used to describe three famous Heian period calligraphers: Yaseki, Gonseki and Saseki. Not that I would ever dream of comparing my messy brush-work with theirs, but the name stuck and I kind of liked it. I used Chinese ink and a high quality brush (which I got in a sale actually) to create this font. All glyphs were hand painted in one go! Sanseki is a very detailed brush font. Upper and lower case letters mingle and there’s even an alternate for every lower case glyph. Comes with an abundance of diacritics.

The last couple of years felt like I was living in a bad dream: I witnessed crazy leaders, climate change and now Covid. I usually name my fonts after things that affect me and this one is not different. Dreamworld is a font I made with a cheap marker pen I liberated from my kids’ pencil box (I will put it back, pinky promise…).
