An early drawing tablet was largely responsible for the LeakorLeach typefaces. They resemble hand lettering using cake icing or done with an ink pen that leaves lots of ink blobs or ink blots. The family has two widths, plain and condensed, and in addition to each having an oblique style, each also has a leftward-inclined style. There may not be many uses for a leftward-inclined typeface, but for those needing one, the LeakorLeach family offers two. The LeakorLeach typefaces are unlike any other faces from IngrimayneType.

Genki Desu is one of those Japanese expressions that are used a lot and don’t really mean what you think they mean. You can use it as a greeting: O Genki Desu Ka? (お元気ですか - how are you), or to say you’re feeling fine (元気です - Genki Desu). The word Genki also means ‘energy’ or ‘vigor’. I am not an expert, in fact, there’s so much Japanese I can actually speak (shame on me), but Genki Desu is one of my favourites. Maybe just because it sounds so nice!

Neuch is a neat typeface for greeting cards, children's books, labels and signs, handmade goodies packaging, and other cheerful designs. Drawn with a sharp-tipped ink pen, the letters kick their legs up and down, stretch out their tails, and hop along gaily, as if not obeying any rules. The cute characters look like they are one big family—they get into arguments, mix noisily and good-humoredly, push each other, yet always stick together. Neuch can speak several languages and has ligatures, decorative elements, and even a cat and a dog.

"Punk is not dead, grunge is not dread, skateboarding and grafitti is forever" - shouted by some (possibly drunk!) person one late night. I had these "wise" words in the back of my mind, while making this font. I wanted to capture the wildness of both punk/grunge/skateboarding and grafitti without overdoing any of them!

Wild Pen is a handwritten typeface created through an experimental pen that’s made from recycled plastic bottle. Its spontaneous strokes are very free and allow presence of drops and blots of ink. The complete family consists of five different fonts, which have the same feeling, and allow mixing them to obtain a lifelike, handwritten text. OpenType users may choose Wild Pen OT, which includes not just the five basic sets but also contains many additional alternative characters and some discretionary ligatures. Wild Pen OT is discreetly programmed to mix the five basic sets, randomly, and improve texts with the additional alternative characters—which have, in some cases, more than ten additional letters for each character. Wild Pen contains almost 1200 glyphs to cover many Latin languages (Western and Central European).

Stencille Une is that long-sought delicate and refined stencil font. Unique but not gimmicky, giving it the legibility often lost in most stencil fonts. Totally kerned pairs, including puncuation.

My pet peeve for many years has been with the 'rn' in small texts, especially with my smart phone. I felt that perhaps others may have the same peeve. I decided to try and fix that with Atlantica. As you can see in poster No. 4. "With the combination of 'rn' in small text it tends to appear as 'm'. Therefore it may be read as 's t e m' instead of 's t e r n'. Altalntica has an alternate 'rn'. By invoking the < Contextual-Alternate > feature. Atlantica will replace each 'rn' - or you may individually change them if you desire". Also note the deep cuts to help legibility for smaller texts. This combination apparently does not appear in many words, but when it does it can suggest a different word as in; eastern, stern, tarnish, Tornado, Turn and in some names as well.

Compasse is a semi-condensed sans-serif family designed by Ryoichi Tsunekawa and the whole family consists of 12 style: six weights from Thin to ExtraBold and their matching Italics. The range of styles provides flexibility for title, headline and body text. And the large x-heights increases legibility and readability. The basic skeleton of their letterform was not designed over-modularly but moderately semi-modularly (adjusted by designer's experience). Therefore the typical artificiality and unnaturalness which come from module-design does not exist in this family. The sophisticated letterform and its universal, neutral, and standard design make it possible to be used across a wide range of applications in all medias, all purposes. Compasse supports almost all european languages: Western, Central, South Eastern Europeans and afrikaans. And superior figures, inferior figures, denominators, numerators and fraction can be accessed by using OpenType features.

Impressed by the quality of the Aachen typeface that was originally designed for Letraset in 1969 and extended to include Aachen Medium in 1977, Jim Wasco of Monotype Imaging has extended this robust display design to create an entire family. Derived from the serif-accented Egyptienne fonts dating to the early 20th century, Aachen has serifs that are very solid but considerably shorter than those of its precursor. The incorporated geometrical elements, such as right angles and straight lines, provide the slender letters of Aachen with a slightly technological, stencil-like quality. Despite this, the effect of Aachen is by no means static; its dynamism means that this typeface, originally designed for use in headlines, has come to be used with particular frequency in sport- and fitness-related contexts. Jim Wasco, for many years a type designer at Monotype Imaging, recognized the potential of Aachen and decided to extend the typeface to create an entire typeface family. He appropriated the existing Aachen Bold in unchanged form and first created the less heavy cuts, Thin and Regular. Wasco admits that he found designing the forms for Thin a particular challenge. It took him several attempts before he was able to achieve consistency within the glyphs for Thin and, at the same time, retain sufficient affinity with the original Aachen Bold. But he finally managed to adapt the short serifs and the condensed and slightly geometrical quality of the letters to the needs of Thin. The weights Light, Book, Medium and Semibold were generated by means of interpolation. Supplemented by Extralight and Extrabold, the new Neue Aachen can now boast a total of nine different weights. Wasco initially relied on his predilection for genuine cursives in his designs for the Italic cuts. But it became apparent with these first trial runs that the soft curves of cursives did not suit Aachen and led to the loss of too much of its original character. Wasco thus decided to compromise by using both inclined and cursive letters. Neue Aachen Italic is somewhat narrower than its upright counterparts; the lower case 'a' has a closed form while the 'f' has been given a descender, but the letters have otherwise not been given additional adornments. The range of glyphs available for Neue Aachen has been significantly extended, so that the typeface can now be used to set texts not only in Western but also Central European languages. Wasco has also added a double-counter lowercase 'g' while relying on the availability of alternative letters in the format sets for the enhancement of the legibility of Neue Aachen when used to set texts. The seven new weights and completely new Italic variants have enormously increased the potential applications of Aachen and the range of creative options for the designer. While the Bold weights have proved their worth as display fonts, the new Book and Regular cuts are ideal for setting text. And the subtlety of Ultra Light will provide your projects with a quite unique flair. Caltic-Holiday, Caltic-Festival, and Caltic-Straight are three eye-catching, very bold typefaces that are suitable for posters and signage. Caltic-Holiday and Caltic-Festival base letter shapes on trapezoids with curved sides but with curves that are reversed going from one to the other. Caltic-Straight has letters based on trapezoids with straight sides. None are suited for text and with their built-in spacing will not work as all upper-case or all lower-case. All three come in two widths, regular and wide, giving the Caltic family six members. Caltic has nothing to do with Celts. The Calt refers to the calt or contextual alternative OpenType feature that makes this typeface work. When the letters on the upper-case keys alternate with the letters on the lower-case keys, they fit snuggly together. As long as the user has a word processor that supports the contextual alternatives feature, there is no need for the user to alternate letters; the calt feature does it automatically. Although the fonts seem similar to hand-drawn lettering that was done on posters and signs during the hippie era of the 1960s and 1970s, I can find nothing quite like them. My inspiration for them is older, in a newspaper from 1932 that led to the typeface family PoultySign. Caltic (and Lentzers) are the result of seeing what else I could do with the inspiration that sprang from that 1932 newspaper.

The 1897 specimen book from Barnhart Brothers and Spindler showed a enchanting little face called Dotted Roman. Here's a faithful revival, ready to warm up the 21st century. Both versions support the Latin 1252, Central European 1250, Turkish 1254 and Baltic 1257 codepages.

Another of my hand drawn originals now digitized. It started out as a very bold, decorative initial capital letter - a 'font within a font' - but got extended to the full alphabet.

The On Hangers family is a collection of fonts consisting of font-bats on hangers. Upper-case are on hangers and lower-case are not. Mix and match and have fun.

A tribute to Jan Tschichold. His hot-metal font Saskia was released in 1931 by Schelter & Giesecke. This elegant italic font was finally redrawn, extended and digitized for present-day use.

FG Callie is a Calligraphy font, but it shouldn't be taken too seriously :) With curly ends on the descenders and her not so straight lines it's more of a fun font.

Ocean Beach is a fun, retro, all-caps Nautical Art Deco headline font. It sports geometric letterforms, perfect circles and highly stylized crossbars with waves on several letters—think the beach, flags rippling in the breeze and Fred and Ginger tap-dancing merrily on the deck of a ship! The inspiration for this font are the many whimsical nautical-themed buildings still to be found dotting the landscapes of America, from South Beach in Miami to hidden gems tucked away in industrial areas of southern California. I was fascinated by some of them when I was growing up, and in doing research on Art Deco styles I found many images of these wonderful buildings sporting portholes, streamlined moderne details and even faux rivets. Ocean Beach is created with a 3-stroke detail, and the complexity of the design will be appreciated better in larger sizes of type (36 pts or larger). Use this font for any application that needs a bold, decorative or Art Deco look; great for signage, magazine layout, illustration, posters and packaging.
