Unitext Variable Regular is a single font file that features one axis: Weight. TFor your convenience, the Weight axis has preset instances from Hairline to Black. This Roman (upright) font is provided as an option to customers who do not need Italics, and want to keep file sizes to a minimum.

The origin of the word Codswallop is uncertain, but it might have something to do with a 19th century English soft drink brewer named Hiram Codd. Codswallop is a beautiful hand drawn font. A little weird, a tad grotesque and a wee bit over the top, but fun and useful nonetheless.

Homazing is inspired by daily working at home, doing something amazing. It presents a flexible, dynamic, clean, and unique personality. Mister B is my go on a handmade organic font. The letters are clumsy, with the width and height somewhat off here and there. Nevertheless, the result is a naive and charming font, which is suitable for most things that has to do with kids toys, organic products or comics.

With this nice, rounded-corner handwriting font that is like comic, slab style; sweet and radiant logos, texts and every kind of graphics, editions and printings like magazines, brochures can be created. Text printouts look pretty smart.

Rahere Esoteric is a gothic-flavoured, quasi-Roman display font with an eccentric persona and more quirks than a Tim Burton film. A member of the extended Rahere typeface family, it’s the enigmatic cousin of Rahere Roman Display & Rahere Sans. This is a niche display font that doesn’t try to please everyone. Rahere Esoteric revels in its mystical aura, using a bewildering array of ligatures to magically transmute itself as characters loop, curl, jerk and strut, randomly connecting and disconnecting into words like a retro-futuristic steam train clattering along a disused railway track, challenging and delighting the reader at the same time. To add more sparkle, there are alternatives, inferior and superior caps plus a [Wicca] basketful of symbols, ornaments, weird faces and even a snake-infused ampersand. Whilst Rahere Esoteric has been designed primarily as an all-caps font, the lowercase slots contain small caps with corresponding numerals. However, because this is an arcane, unpredictable font, order and regularity are frowned upon, which means there are no tabular numerals – so company reports or accounts are a solid no! Unless they’re for the Golden Circle of Alchemists PLC or Gothic Blackstar Corporation. It is ideal for all things pagan, esoteric, alchemy, other-worldly or magic-related projects and particularly useful for music genres across the Gothic / Darkwave / Ethereal spectrum. What about legibility? Hey, look into my eyes: Esoteric is all about the mystique. If a secondary font is needed for the important stuff, I recommend its cousin, Rahere Sans, which pairs beautifully with this display font and is perfect for long passages or small text. The initial idea for Rahere Esoteric came about during a visit to Whitby, a small coastal town in Yorkshire, UK and famous for its inclusion in Bram Stoker’s novel, Dracula. A Steampunk festival was in full swing and the narrow streets of the town centre were teeming with people adorned in a glorious fusion of clothing and accessories influenced by a love of 19th-century life, science fiction, horror, fashion and art. I was fascinated by the juxtapositions of colour, patterns, material and style – archaic mechanical Sci-fi, gothic, the American Wild West and romantic Victorian. But what intrigued me the most, somehow, all the disparate elements worked as a whole. Thus, like Frankenstein, this font jolted into existence. Supported languages include Western Europe, Vietnamese, Central/Eastern Europe, Baltic, Turkish and Romanian.

Evanston Alehouse is the first font in a larger collection of typefaces inspired by years leading up to the American prohibition. For the past two years I was living in Evanston, IL, a suburb of Chicago. After learning it was one of the birthplaces of the prohibition movement, I set out to learn more about it, and decided to develop a type collection that captures the dynamic era in our nation’s history. In the century that prefaced the ratification of the 18th amendment, saloons, taverns and alehouses boomed as the American working class enjoyed beer and discovered whiskey and gin. At the same time, the Temperance League was forming and gaining strength. By the turn of the century, these temperance societies were common in the culture of the country, with individual towns and states already on the move to abolish alcohol consumption. However, it was undeniable that by this time in history, America loved to drink. This font is inspired by the signage seen outside such drinking establishments. Back to the modern era, Evanston Alehouse is a 25 font family that includes 3 weights, 4 widths and 3 heights. It has special features that add depth to the font, with discretionary ligatures and stylistic alternatives. It also includes a complementary set of ornaments, including line breaks, frames, borders, and laurels. FHA Condensed French One could speculate that FHA Condensed French probably started life as wood type for displays, headlines and posters. The exaggerated sharp serifs and condensed forms were not uncommon for that period. At some point, sign painters picked up Condensed French added their own character. At the end of the nineteenth century, Frank H. Atkinson included Condensed French in his samples of lettering for his book, ”Sign Painting, A Complete Manual.” This book became one of the definitive guides for signwriting and hand lettering. In 1999, Mike Adkins digitized Condensed to add to our Atkinson collection. For its re-release, Condensed French has been updated with more language support, ligatures, and OpenType alternates. It has true vintage character but still plays well in more modern designs. A font for all seasons, the condensed forms and sharp serifs fit in every layout from wildwest days posters and creepy film credits to Christmas ads and Mother’s Day cards. While I can’t really see FHA Condensed French as the font for phone aps or video game text, it will provide impact to logos, branding, and product labeling.

Mekon is a modern heavyweight typeface digitised and expanded from Peter Steiners Black Body (1973). Sandena began as an attempt at a harmonic convergence between the classic lines of Palatino and the curved flair of Optima - both favorites of mine from the great Hermann Zapf. As I’ve always loved the Swash characters of the 50’s and 60’s letterforms, I incorporated these alternatives to offer the more complete package that you see here - a humanist font in the truest calligraphic sense. This OpenType font family comes in four weights and includes condensed and Swash Cap alternates. Sandena offers multiple-character foreign language support and is being offered in a number of packages best-tailored for your unique application.

Chocolatte font is a yummy, creamy script font, made entirely with chocolate.. No, sorry, that’s not true. It was made with a pen, but I thought I’d create a nice urban myth. Chocolatte is a pretty useful font: you can stick it on your X-mas cards, write a little poem with it and surprise the love of your life with an enormous amount of chocolate, decorate your cake with it (preferably a chocolate cake) or use it for your… well, whatever. Just remember that this delicious font cannot be eaten, but it does come with copious amounts of diacritics for all you chocoholics out there!

Railhead is a revival of an 1870s type style that was originally available from both the Bruce foundry in New York and James Conner's Sons type foundry. The Redux version is the original design but only the uppercase and punctuation were ever created the rest of this font design including numbers, accented characters and lowercase are of my own design. Looking at the original font the inside rails reminded me of a railroad so I created a new version by adding horizontal lines in the lower portion of each letter which resemble railroad ties and Railhead seemed to be the most logical name for this old revival.

Nauman Neue is a modern humanist sans serif typeface made for the screen. Broad open letter forms are combined with precise geometry to create a functional and legible font that’s ideal for web and on-screen applications. In 2021 Nauman was expanded to sixty styles, including two helpful widths condensed and semi-condensed. Included in the font are 900 characters per style, ten weights and three widths with matching italics. Opentype features consist of seven numerals variations, including inferiors, superiors, fractions, tabular, lining, and old style. It also has alternate lowercase a, e, I, M, small caps, arrows and language support covering Western, South, Central Europe and Vietnamese.

Imagine being printer in the early nineteenth century, your stock isn’t the finest, your lead characters are worn out: Voilá Kandidat Rough. But wait, Kandidat isn’t the usual scan-an-old-book,-put-the-glyphs-in-a-font-and-you’re-done-font. Kandidat Rough has a variety of whopping 14 alternates for most characters. Our algorithm changes the letters automatically. All you have to do is turn on Contextual Alternates in your layout app. The algorithm is the best we’ve seen so far, and it’s so good that even same words appear in different forms. And should by coincidence words have the same glyphs, just assign a different Style Set to the first letter, and all other letters in the word will change as well (well, it depends a bit on your software). The mechanism isn’t perfect and maybe we stretched OpenType capabilities a bit over the top, but we yet haven’t seen any better routine for switching letters on the fly. Is it worth to mention that Kandidat Rough not only speaks English, but also German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Croatian, Turkish and most likely some other languages? Maybe. All neatly kerned. All in all a great repertoire for even the most demanding book or advert jobs with a look of old times. And now imagine you are sick of the rugged print experience Kandidat Rough delivers: go for Kandidat. This is our Scotch-ish ancestor the Rough version was made from. A sturdy, friendly, round, warm friend from the beginning of the nineteenth century. A bit dark, maybe. You will like it. Kandidat has the aforementioned type set plus complete Baltics, Eastern Europe and Cyrillic. Plus a couple of gimmicks like fleurons, stars, circled numbers, arrows, and, and, and… Kandidat Regular additionally has small caps for Latin based scripts (not Cyrillic). The spick and span Kandidat font set also consists of Regular, Italic and Bold cuts. The bold cut is on the very bold side and can nicely be used for headings, whereas Italic is a great companion for Regular. It took us some time and trouble to finish this project, but after all we are very proud of our little feat and hope you will enjoy Kandidat as much as we do. Enjoy!

STROKIN is an inky, messy, Omnicase display font. It’s part charcoal part paint strokes, reversed in lighter tones it looks like chalk, add a splash a red and it starts to look like blood. It has over 250 glyphs including all those extra pesky foreign features. OpenType coded, It has various letter pairings that interlock automatically to create a more randomized, bespoke feel to your copy. Hope you like it.

The idea about Phenotype was to achieve a unique visual effect by touching serifs. Characters form ligatures, but every combination looks different. Touching serifs form connecting character images, e.g. like logotypes on old refrigerators or oldtimer cars, something like the fonts of Leslie Carbarga. The design idea is based on monospaced and heavy serif fonts like Courier, Isonorm Memphis or Rockwell. However, obviously, Phenotype is not a monospaced typeface.
