I really don’t like candy. In fact, I even hate the smell of candy! But… You can wake me up for caramel in any form or shape! When I was a kid, we used to get a tin of wrapped English ‘quality’ toffees for Christmas. My favourites were the big, flat chewy caramels in a bright purple wrapper! Fady Lingers is a mispronunciation of that famous Italian cookie - nevertheless, there is nothing awkward or wrong with the font! It is handmade using a thin marker, leaving an uneven edge. I did spend some time cleaning up each letter, but was carefully observant to keep the original handmade and organic look. I've added 4 slightly different versions of each lowercase letter. and they automatically changes as you type - a really great way to make your design stand out as organic and lively!

These four typefaces, Berlinette NB, Lyonette NB, Marseillette NB and Parisette NB, were designed from the same basic shape, a fanciful geometric form that avoids strict horizontals and uses more offbeat triangular shapes. Marseillette is the nasty one, with sharp hook terminations that require careful use. Don�t slip and accidentally stick one in your hand � it will hurt pretty bad and make you blubber like a baby. It�s good for surreal warning signs on dark, forbidding docks where gooey monsters live.

Hasan Hiba is an Arabic display typeface. It is useful for titles and graphic projects The font is based on the simple lines of Fatemic Kufi calligraphy. Hasan Hiba won the 5th place in Linotype’s first Arabic Type Design Competition. It supported Arabic, Persian and Urdu. In November, 2008, Hasan Hiba was upgraded by working with Mirjam Somers an award-winning Arabic type designer to the DecoType font format for use in WinSoft Tasmeem which is now bundled with InDesign CS4.

Rasteroids Monospace is a typographic flashback to computing of the mid 1980s, when 9-pin dot-matrix printers were the state of the art, and most home computer displays were TVs hooked up to RF modulators. Rasteroids not only captures the dot-matrix printer look, but recreates the rasterized appearance of text on those lower-resolution monitors. Because of its fixed character width, Rasteroids Monospace is intended for use in accents or small areas of copy rather than long documents.

Feltboard JNL was drawn from images of letters and numbers contained in a felt board (also known as a flannel board) sign kit from the 1940s or 1950s. The irregularity of stroke widths and character shapes is representative of the actual shapes of the die-cut pieces found within this kit. Note: The cap height is slightly smaller than normal for the respective point size. This will give the effect of wider line spacing - similar to that of hand-made signs.

Daiquiri is a revival of a handlettered font in two weights, from an ad for Puerto Rico Rum dating back to the forties or fifties. I found the ad on a French antique market on my last visit for Mardi Gras in Nice. The ad read "Breeze through the heat, be a Daiquiri fan". That's why they had this "fan" in the illustration! Did they want you to rotate like a fan when you had enough Daiquiris? Or did they just do it for that little "Jeu des mots"? Anyway I found the handlettering very pretty, so I took those few letters and made a whole font out of them. I think Daiquiri has that touch that brings those happy and uncomplicated times back when advertising was still fun. I started something like 20 years later in advertising and things had gotten more stringent. We already had to satisfy those marketing guys with their scholarly attitude. They have taken all the fun out of the job, for the creators as well as for the consumers. I would like to see more uncomplicated ads like this again, yours Gert Wiescher

This family was created from the set of font faces used in Lima (Peru) by Antonio Ricardo in 1584 for the first publication ever printed in Southern America: a four-page leaflet in Spanish entitled "Pragm·tica sanciÛn" with information about the new Georgian calendar of 1582 which had not yet been communicated to the colonies. In our two styles (Regular & Italic), font faces, kernings and spacing are as close as possible to the original. This Pro font covers Western, Eastern and Central European languages (including Celtic), Baltic and Turkish, with standard and “long s” ligatures in each of the two styles. Barnsley Gothic is a condensed sans serif font family. It was designed by Steve Jackaman (ITF) in 2017. It was developed alongside its sister font family, Steelplate Gothic Pro, and includes support for Latin 1 and Central/Eastern European languages. The family is named after the town of Barnsley, a coal mining town in Yorkshire, England. In 1960, there were roughly seventy collieries within a fifteen-mile radius of Barnsley town center, however the last of these closed in 1994. Mind Boggle was made during the renovation of our fixer upper farm house. We had to demolish an old annexe (because it was unsafe) and it caused us some stress, as one wrong movement of the excavator would mean at least a partial collapse of our home… Luckily the driver was a pro and it was mind boggling to see what he could do with a huge machine like that. Mind Boggling? Ah! Check! Mind Boggle is a handmade, all caps, headline font. It is a bit wobbly in places, but it comes with loads of character. The dotty style comes with thousands of hand made dots. They’re not perfect, they’re not even round, but they are unique!
