Antigen is a forceful and fresh typeface with a strong futuristic feel. Its characters have a wide stance, and the lettering is subtly rounded. Agrus in Ukrainian means "gooseberry". The letters are rounded like the berries and the sharp end elements remind of the barbs. In fact, the font is an intricate italic type. This font is good clean fun. "Kopa" is a word that means "soap" in the Hawaiian native language. The thickness and rounded edges mimic the form of solid soap. Some additional design involving the base of the glyphs brings out the style just a bit more. This font works especially well with colorful designs.

Jeff Levine took Crown Heights JNL [named after his childhood neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY] and gave it a make-over; transforming it into a Western-style all-caps display face called Homesteader JNL. The point of interest being the rounded characters: C, G, O and Q - usually not as geometric in Old West typography.

Decorative font based on XIX century Cyrillic handwriting. Dulsinea is a handwriting-based font, that is why most of the letters are tied to each other. Such handwriting is often seen in documents dated 2nd half of the XIX century. Its special features are rounded lengthy movements and unusual for present days sequence of strokes.

Rétrospectif is a tribute to the fonts of the Thirties and Forties. It consists of two families, Rétrospectif and Rétrospectif faible. Hand-drawn with calligraphy ink and an antique dip pen, Mignonette is ready for all uses charming and rustic. This all started as a bunch of letter written using a squared paper as a guide. It all turned out fine, but there was something that wasn't quite right...it was boring! I took all the letters and grunge it all up and did all the drips as well - and suddenly that boring look was gone! That was an unlikely development!

The Redikut Letter Company of Hawthorne, California specialized in die-cut cardboard display letters used by sign makers to achieve a three-dimensional effect on show card and display work. A set of these letters purchased by Jeff Levine brought back memories of classic movie houses with their fancy display and lobby cards, and thus was created "Aisle Seats JNL".

Imperia is derived from my Classic font Imperium – the Roman Original from the Trajan column. I pushed Imperia a lot further, adding two versions of swings. To make the family more usable I threw in my own version of lowercase letters for free; Roman did not have lowercase letters of that kind! The other three cuts – A, B, and C –have classic smallcaps.

In August 1930, Jan Tschichold described a new typeface, that is "producable by everybody without further knowledge" in the publication Börsenblatt für den Deutschen Buchhandel. Sebastian Nagel has extended the original drawing to 7 weights (black, extrabold, bold, semibold, regular, semilight and light), with full coverage of the Latin 1 character set. All fonts also include small caps and alternate characters.

The Art Deco hand lettered opening credits for the 1936 French drama “La Belle Équipe” [English title: “They Were Five”] provided the inspiration for Foreign Film JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. According to Wikipedia, the film “…tells the story of five unemployed workers who win the jackpot in the national lottery but their solidarity then proves fragile.”

Luscombe is a boisterous and lively display face, recalling the shaded and outlined faced much beloved of 1920s poster and advertising artists, while offering a regularity of outline that those faces often did not achieve. Itís ideal for poster and display work, or for signage with a subtle period feel. Mix the two faces to add emphasis where it's needed.
