In 1978 I went to work at Mergenthaler as a letter drawer. Being an inquisitive sort I decided that I should take a stab at this type design 'stuff'. I drew 25 or 30 glyphs before the work found its way to a high shelf in a dark corner of my apartment. Just 23 years later I found the drawings on a different shelf, in a different home, in a different city and decided to finish what I had started. I'm still trying to deal with my predisposition toward procrastination but I've finished the font. The name of the font is the last name of somebody I played softball with before I moved to Beantown. Ronnie Geis was one of the courageous firefighters we lost on September 11th when the WTC collapsed.

Flimsy is 100% handmade, but digitally remastered. I removed some blobs here and there, but kept enough of the original handmade line in order to make the Flimsy stand out as an organic and powerful ALL CAPS font! What excactly is a snacky plop? To be honest, I don't know!!! The name comes out of a wordplay! :) But what I know is that this font is playful, unpredictable and fun to look at and use! I have added 5 different versions of each letter, and they automatically changes as you type!

Suppose you were at a sandy beach and you wanted to write a message by making footprints in the sand. You might end up with letters much like those in Barefoot, a typeface made with bare feet. It is all caps but most of the letters on the lower-case keys differ from those on the upper-case keys. It looks best at large point sizes where the details of the feet are clear. The concept of this letter is calmness. I created a variety of sans-serif fonts, and when I listed the fonts I had created, I was surprised that their shapes were not very different from each other. ITC Deelirious is the first typeface of Dee Densmore-D'Amico and its name comes from the astounding number of D's packed into her name. The design came from her own handwriting. The font is made up of 36 styles, including two subtle design variations each featuring 9 weights plus matching italics.

Colin is a fresh, somewhat futuristic geometric sans serif type with a large x-height that, to me, communicates both seriousness and cheerfulness. It supports 70 languages incl. monotonic Greek and comes in 7 weights with a small number of alternate glyphs (ss01) for more flexibility. It features fractions, old style and tabular figures. Colin works great in titles, displays and short paragraphs. And where does it come from? To be honest, the reason for this font is a selfish one. I wanted a typeface where my initials (n and c) look identical, just rotated by 90 degrees. That didn’t completely work but, hey, it’s pretty close.

Arco Star is a beautiful font made entirely of tiny stars, arriving with a family of styles so many different effects are possible. Arco Star is extended, containing European accents and ligatures so it is perfect for international publications. Arco Star pairs well with Arco Web and Arco Crayon from Okaycat fonts.
