A heavy weight - softened sans serif that is not only friendly, but easy on the eyes. Good Eatin was inspired by the title screen from the 1942 Warner Bros. cartoon titled, "Dog Tired". The original all capitals setting had a charming & quiet nature to it, which became even more pronounced when drawn out to include a lowercase set. Later expanded upon to include a Small Caps set, Good Eatin Pro achieves a wider, even more electric appeal. Loaded with personality, Good Eatin Pro is joyful and stands out without being an eyesore, and while being based on vintage lettering it has a contemporary feel.

Inspired by the strange, blocky lettering on the sides of a set of a set of plastic kitchen containers in my childhood home, 8th Avenue is a sophisticated, somewhat syncopated font with a retro look and feel that at the same time brings a very modern attitude to your design. 8th Avenue works well as display font for packaging, headlines and logos. Those pastel turquoise plastic boxes from the early 1950s, with white screen printed letters reading FLOUR, SUGAR, COFFEE etc. on one side were a simple quiet presence in our home back then and for decades after. Seeing them, even that soft blue-green colour felt like home. SUGAR, the soul survivor of that set has become one of those mundane items of daily life that somehow become simple icons of another time, ripe with memories. Obviously I had to make a font. We have adapted the version of our Arquitecta font for use in Microsoft Office™. It only has 4 variants: regular, italic, bold and bold italic. Font weights have been named in a way that can be clearly shown up in the font list in Office™ programs for the sake of a good hierarchy (the bold variant is quite bold and does not look the same as the original font). Arquitecta Office update: Improvements of proportions and drawing. The set was extended to the current one of Latinotype.

An indomitable woman who traveled a lot, Emily Austin (Bryan) Perry was one of the children of Moses Austin, of Austinville, Virginia. Like her famous brother, Stephen F. Austin, she settled in Texas as one of that region's earliest colonists. While traveling about seeking treatment for a sickly daughter, she wrote many letters home -- letters that show a distinctively compact, legible hand. The challenge for me in designing the face: resisting the temptation to read and re-read her bossy directives and urgent appeals, all packed tightly together on a page. Emily Austin has a complete character set, and then some.

Channel B was derived from the logo for Channel B, a British entertainment internet channel, anchored by former Soccer AM presenter Tim Lovejoy at www.dailymotion.com/channelbee. I’m not sure what it was in 2008 when I first ran across the logo, but that elegant capital B seemed to cry out for a font to support it. Many of the capitals, numbers and other glyphs of Channel B are split into a top and bottom, but not all. The tall, condensed capitals are contrasted to the rounded lowercase (derived from the bottom half of the B, rotated 180°).

The original idea for Alda came from exploring an alternative approach to generating different typeface weights by adapting the characteristics of physical objects. I was interested to find out how far this could be pushed before the letters became a parody of what they referenced. Initially I took this treatment very literally, with the boldest weight expressing the tension of bent steel, and the lightest being as spineless as a rubber band. This allowed me to infuse each weight with unique characteristics, where the bold is robust and angular, and the light is delicate and soft.

This is Ekamai, named after the district of Bangkok I lived in. It is based on Quinella, and was supposed to be a quick and easy reworking of that font into a "tight-not-touching" (rather than overlapping) version. As is often the case with quick and easy things, it turned out to be neither, and the vast majority of glyphs needed to be completely overhauled to fit the new system. This face is deliciously plump face, with lovingly rendered curves and just the right amount of cuteness; perfect for food packaging (of the sweeter variety probably!), logos, magazine headlines and the like. It performs admirably in all caps settings. The numerals are expressive hybrid figures (somewhere between lining and oldstyle). The overall feel is friendly and soft, without being overtly saccharine. Ekamai is equipped with subtle contextual alternates (which I'd recommend leaving on) to help with the tight fit, a handful of discretionary ligatures if that's your thing, and a case feature for all caps settings. The stylistic alternates and stylistic set 1 features simply change the # glyph to an attractive numero. Automatic fractions are included along with wide-ranging language support.

Family type designed by Felipe Calderón. This type is a display with a modern style and a different and innovative concept. The development of this type was a challenge because it was set out from the begining as a script font with ornaments and complements, where the round shapes do not have prominence in the result. Planet Express is an interesting job from the aesthetic point of view, it works for big scale texts and contains little shadow-cuts in each character to give it more personality and stand out among other fonts from this gender. I hope this new project works to solve issues in design. Newsreel Caps JNL is a novelty caps-only outline letter with cast shadow set inside film frames. Although the design idea itself is not new, this version is based on lettering from a vintage piece of sheet music for a song featured in the movie "Fox Movietone Follies". The font is a wink and nod to Fox's long-running newsreel series called "Fox Movietone News". The upper case keys have black letters on a white frame, while the lower case keys have white letters on a black frame. A blank white frame is on the period key; a blank black frame is on the comma key. Use this font for individual initials, set the characters loose for effect or set them tight (as provided) for a continuous film strip.

Country Western Script is a new font based on the classic William Page font known as Clarendon Ornamented originally designed in 1859 and again in 1877 by Vanderburgh & Wells. This version includes Greek, Cyrillic, Central and Eastern European characters sets. Keeping with the original theme from 1859, Fill fonts are available for the Ornamented and Open faced versions of this font. Greek, Cyrillic, Central and Eastern European characters sets are supported in the Windows TrueType and OpenType formats. The Windows and Mac Type1 versions of this font do not support Greek, Cryillic, Central and Eastern European characters sets.

It was used in parts of Transylvania until the 1850s, although it was banned by Istvan, the first Christian king of the Hungarians (Szekel), in line with an order to "destroy all pre-Christian inscriptions". Hungarian runic script was usually written on wood-stone pieces in the bustrofedon style. In this method, the writing was written consecutively from right to left and from left to right. This article is available in Bosnian, Carpathian and Glozel editions. Whenever possible, I will present the fonts in these versions.

JY Décennie Express was developed as a sans serif workhorse complement to JY Décennie. The basic roman design shares characteristics, and in some cases, characters (e, o, and others) with the serif version, making JY Décennie Express work particularly well with its progenitor. The design is friendly and approachable, as opposed to stark (the effect one usually has with Helvetica and other over-used typefaces). On closer inspection, straight lines blend into curves on the outlines: the characters are in fact complex but appear simple.

Cyntho Next is a totally reworked typeface based on our previous bestseller Cyntho Pro. It also has a slab-serif counterpart - Cyntho Next Slab. Cyntho Next is a modern geometric sans based on a hybrid waterdrop-like shape with eight weights varying from Thin to Black and featuring Cyrillic.

The Buum typeface evolved from the explosive lettering originally designed as part of a house style for an interactive science centre for kids. Beside its usual application as a strong display font in print and on screen, the bold angular shapes of glyphs are adapted for negative machine- or laser-cutting into structural materials such as iron sheets, plywood, or stone ... and for creating tactile expressive surfaces and 3D objects. This pictogrammic and dazzling font remotely echoes the morphology of the lettering of futurism and constructivism, when avant-garde typography was once an exciting adventure. It is a lettering building kit with a number of stylistic alternatives of glyphs that enable a user to shape the same word differently each time. Buum is recommended by nine out of ten old school futurists, favored by steampunk CNC operators and respected by the majority of infantile anarchists.

Trithemius, a 15th century Abbott, and influential counselor to Emperor Maximilian I, was also an author who wrote both histories and the first printed work on cryptography which gained him much adverse notoriety. He has been long regarded as a mystic and some of his works were therefore banned. However, it may have been his intention to cloak his cryptology essays in mystical writing to keep people from easily grasping the subject matter, which it has been recently demonstrated, at heart was really cryptological methodology. This font is based on a printed version of the Polygraphiae a text that included many methods of encryption.

FG Rakel is a small old looking handwriting connected script font. I have found it useful on greeting cards and scrapbook journaling among other things.

Nouveau Eccentrique JNL is a novelty Art Nouveau lettering style found on some 1920s sheet music cheerfully entitled "I'm Glad I Can Make You Cry".

ITC Kulukundis is the work of designer Daniel Pelavin, a square, connecting script which looks as though it could have been cast in shiny chrome for the side of a 1950s American roadster. Pelavin based his design very loosely on a vertical French script but the overall look is all his own. Unlike calligraphic scripts, the lower case letters all connect in exactly the same way and the straight diagonal junctures give the typeface its broad, spacious character and keep it locked into a continuous line. ITC Kulukundis could also be used to create a decorative border for special occasions.

This is the one and only Neil Bold, designed by Wayne Stettler in 1966 and originally published as a Typositor typeface. An award-winner and instant celebrity upon its release, Neil Bold became synonymous with magnified modernism for a whole generation. It was a jazz record packaging favorite, especially at Blue Note records, and made regular appearances on science fiction book covers during the last stretch of the genre's golden age. This digital version greatly expands on the film type one. New small caps and biform styles were added to the authentically revived main face (for a set of three fonts), and language support has been extended to include all Latin-based tongues. Neil Bold Pro, the OpenType version, comes in a single font that combines all three fonts into a single file, with programmed features for small caps, stylistic alternates (for biform shapes), a few extra alternates, class-based kerning, and additional language support for Cyrillic and Greek scripts.

Goldbarre is a finely engraved slab serif face in the spirit of ‘between the wars’ commercial confidence. It’s a solid and dependable face of distinction for use on certificates and posters which need to convey an emphatic yet refined message. The letterforms of Goldbarre combine finely hatched shading with and embossed, three-dimensional, quality. The utility of the family is further enhanced with Goldbarre No 2 - a solid shaded face, Goldebarre No 3 - an open embossed face, and Goldbarre No 4 - a basic black slab-serif face.

Yuge, apparently, is how New Yorkers pronounce huge. I have never been to New York, so I can’t tell if this is a fact. But I often hear a certain New Yorker pronounce it that way, so I guess it’s sort of true. Yuge is a handwritten font - made with a Sharpie pen. Believe me, it is a good font. It is fantastic. It is the best font ever. It is YUGE! ;-)

A characteristic of the Minea font family is the achievement of the calligraphic handwriting effect. In addition to basic, simple letter forms, it contains a large number of additional stylistic alternatives and ligatures that, by combining and changing without repetition, give the effect of calligraphic writing. Some of these characters can be changed by automatically turning on a particular OpenType function, when ligatures replace the combination of letters that are part of them, the letter is replaced by a certain alternative when found in a given context, and capital letters are replaced with decorative initials. Letter swap functions can be used in all programs that support OpenType programming. Minea is an attractive font that is sleek, clean, feminine, sensual, glamorous, simple and very easy to read. The Minea font family, based on original calligraphic sketches, contains a total of six weights. Thin, regular and medium weights have ligatures and alternate letter shapes, which help make the syllable look like an authentic calligraphic print. Semi-bold, bold, and black weights contain only basic letter shapes. The font family contains Latin and Cyrillic. Includes Russian and Serbian alternative letter forms. The family of calligraphic fonts Minea can be used on various occasions, and is intended for use in print and online. Can be used in the realization of certain tasks, unusual advertisements, packaging and invitations, diplomas ... as well as for all purposes where this type of letter is needed.

P22 Barabajagal is a unique take on the display fat face by way of doodling fun. Somewhat informed by the shapes of an early 1970s film type called Kap Antiqua Bold, this font’s aesthetic is the stuff of boundless energy and light humour, where an uncommon “peak” angle drawing perspective results in sturdy trunks, fat bottom curls, and active ascenders eager for mobility in space. This is the kind of font that makes you wonder whether it was drawn with rulers, protractors and compasses, or just by a mad doodler’s crazy-good free hand. Regardless, Barabajagal easily turns the geometry of modern forms into an exercise in sugar-loaded fun. It’s a very good tool to use in design geared at kids and young adults, such as food and toy packaging, books, animation, cartoons and games. At first glance, there is something familiar about this font, but one may not be sure... “Where have I seen this font before?” Known for his diverse portfolio of script style display fonts, typographic designer and lettering artist Rob Leuschke has taken a step back in time with Alumni™. A true departure from present trends, this font resurrects the clean and simple forms made popular in the 1950s. Originally inspired by the black face Impact™, it soon evolved to include numerous weights from the Black flavor of its progenitor to a super thin Pinstripe. The extreme weights (Pinstripe, Hairline and Black) are designed for display situations while the remaining weights may be used for more traditional textual design applications.
