Corton was inspired by the traditional lettering on a gravestone in an English village. Throughout the history of typography there have been countless attempts to simplify the alphabet. In the early 20th century, modernist designers experimented with reducing the alphabet to basic geometric shapes. Prozac pushes this utopian experiment further by reducing the roman alphabet to just six shapes. These shapes are then flipped or rotated to make up the 26 letters of the alphabet. Prozac is available without prescription in lite and max versions.

ITC Minska is the work of Carl Crossgrove, who used a combination of upper and lower case shapes together to create new letter forms. Crossgrove created unconventional yet immediately recognizable variations in two different alphabets, which cannot quite be classifed as upper and lower case in themselves. Yefimov Sans is a sans companion for Yefimov Serif . It is one of the last original faces by Vladimir Yefimov. It has contemporary design, squarish shapes of the round letters and legible proportions. Thanks to open aperture, it works well in small point sizes, and its distinctive letterforms make it good also for display purposes. The typeface was completed by Maria Selezeneva and Alexandra Korolkova. Released by ParaType in 2015.

Bingley is a beautifully old-fashioned, proper, and full of class body typeface. The British feel of this face comes from its inspirational source—a tombstone script from Oxford. The front page of a late-1940s sales catalog for the [now defunct] Duro Decal Company of Chicago had its company name hand-lettered in a tall, condensed chamfered sans serif type design. Although chamfered lettering had been popular for decades, the way the "R" was shaped gave the letters a bit of an Art Deco influence, and this influence was carried through in the creation of Durable JNL.

Originally released by the Stephenson Blake foundry in England, Doric is modeled on one of the sans serifs of William Caslon IV, who was the first to interpret sans serif letterforms into a typeface (1816). Doric Bold has large, heavy capitals with uniform letter widths. It is often used for classified advertising in newspapers because these qualities coupled with a large x-height allow greater legibility at small point sizes.

A vintage British lettering stencil was the inspiration for Sandwell Stencil JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. This pleasant and condensed stencil font was originally a semi-stencil – many of the characters were made as solid letters ,while the others had a traditional stencil treatment. For the digital version, the stencil treatment was applied to previously solid characters to create a consistency in the overall design.

The 1939 sheet music for “Sea Dreams” had its title hand lettered in an unusual Art Deco style that employed many unusual character shapes and widths within the font design.
