The Fred family is based on the casual hand lettering of Fred G. Cooper: cover artist, cartoonist, and letterer for Life magazine in the 1920s and '30s. His relaxed style captures the flavor of the Roaring Twenties, and the digital font was developed for use in the credits and title cards for a 1920s-style silent movie, The Call of Cthulhu. This is a family of "Gothic" types from the Monotype Design Studio. The faces named "Gothic No. 1 through 4" were produced by Compugraphic. Guerrer is modern sans serif family of 20 fonts, 10 weights from thin to black, consists of uprights and matching italics (obliques). I am shocked to my very core that the name "Tropical Punch" hasn't been used for a font yet. What a delight, that my very first name choice is available, and I can grow my collection of fonts named after delicious food and drink! I built the Orchid Key font family from the ground up with the idea that there would be several different styles; the Inline Spurs style was the first to be built, which let me then subtract the spurs, inline slices, or both to make the other styles. I've never made a font quite like this before, which shows in the time it took - it's been over 5 months since I started construction! A personal handwriting done in pencil. Conté Script is a computer font but has the extraordinary look of handwriting. The typeface is exceedingly lively, diversified and distinct thanks to more than 300 different ligatures, i.e. letter combinations. In addition to the letter combinations in Conté Script, there are also double letters and figures included (aa, ff, AA, MM, 22, 66…) as ligatures with stylistic alternates. Type set in Conté Script appears remarkably similar to a text actually handwritten with a pencil. The typical style of the pencil — crumbliness where pressure lessens and the deep darkness where the pressure of the graphite in it's fullest denseness smudges — is another earmark of Conté Script. The font appears to be written quickly, fleetingly, casually, as if not really to be taken seriously, and as if it would be written one minute and erased the next. Conté Script looks most ”authentic“ around the point size of 18 to 22.
