Kris Holmes and Charles Bigelow designed Lucida Console in 1993 for on-screen console and terminal emulation windows that needed monospaced fonts with sturdy letter shapes. Lucida Console has simple, clear, robust letterforms, a big x-height, and economical fitting. It looks large on-screen and in print but takes up less space than traditional typewriter and monospaced fonts. Its short capitals were originally technical adaptations to user interfaces on computers, but its compact look and active italic appeals to typographers and designers for a wide variety of uses, including in games and digital devices. The Lucida Console family has 675 glyphs in each font, and supports the WGL and W1G character sets. This includes the Extended Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic alphabets along with a generous set of symbols, box-draw, and graphical characters.

Experimental and accidental unicase grotesque. A font in which all the letters and numbers fell down and deformed under the force of gravity. Everything that was hanging fell down. Everything that was curved horizontally straightened. The form and principle of construction of each symbol in the font is dictated not by tradition, but by physics. This makes FE Planking 2020 an excellent tool for creating phrases and statements in advertising and art projects that attract attention and make your head spin. The first free version with a minimum set of Latin and Cyrillic alphabets was released in 2019, and in 2020 the font was updated and supplemented with an expanded set of characters. Razom Script is a typeface with deep roots in pointed brush calligraphy that takes advantage of current font technology to go beyond handwriting and reach new limits. A successful blend between printed and handwritten letterforms is visible when comparing upper and lowercase. The weight of the typeface evolve in a way that pushes the limits of a script typeface to suggest new uses. Normally, families are developed in weights, not proportions. Also, having several weights in a script family is rather rare. But in Razon Script, as the fonts gain weight, big differences show up in the font outlines: the thin weight looks soft and delicate but as we examine darker variables, they also seem to get broken. The counters of the letters rotate from vertical to horizontal during this process.

Sublime45-Regular Sublime Revised for 2021. One font in Opentype format as Sublime45. Families and all TT Truetype versions eliminated in this wonderful stand alone. The Spring 1997 original release of Sublime —borne an organic creature of black water soluble ink & digitized by Coniglio Type. Sublime is a fun font to use in commercial layouts. It is soft and fluid as ink. Like the wrinkles of time, it is imperfect. That in itself makes it incredibly attractive, warm and “human factor”. Sublime offers legibility so sorely missed in the current recreational font market. Sublime was inspired by World War II US fighter pilot Donald Alling. He flew missions over Nazi Germany. His squadron also dropped food, medicine and relief supplies over the Netherlands. Known as “the Colonel” to his friends. Don as a civic engineer ruled literally miles of ink letter callout’s with a template device called a LeRoy in peacetime on vellum and mylar across his career as a technical illustrator. You didn't want to screw up inking into a template with wet black permanent ink. You really had to have a steady hand and it was all done by hand. You can say Don worked “unplugged”. And that is cool! He was part of the broad stroke of postwar industrial expansion that helped keep America strong, rendering exploded views on top secret projects. Many of us were not even born yet when all this was going on. Today at over 80 years young Don is like a national treasure, savvy and bright—and the ladies love him! The Colonel remains a dedicated master airbrush man, stand–up man, caricature artist and letterman all without use of a computer! He was lucky enough to retire before a desktop cathode tube was put in his face. Today the Colonel enjoys restoring VW’s, flying and freelance consulting when not being called to supper by his lovely wife Rea.

Several years ago I was asked to do a sign for a rummage sale. To print the words RUMMAGE SALE, I took letters from some of the ornate fonts I was working on at the time. I liked the results, so made them into a font. Fonts from which the letters come include HippityDippity, Tuskcandy, Letunical, OakPark, WyomingStrudel, NeuAltisch, WyomingMacroni, WyomingPastad, and Rundigsburg. The original typeface had two variants of each letter, one on the upper-case keys and the other on the lower-case keys. The name of the original font, RummageSaleOne, acknowledged that a greater selection of letters was desirable but it was only with the upgrade of 2020 that the greater selection was added. The additional variants were added in two ways: as a separate typeface (RummageSale-Two) and also as OpenType stylistic alternatives.

Rigel was inspired by one poster by American artist and illustrator Katherine Milhous. It was a poster promoting the Ephrata Cloister in 1936. The letters from the Ephrata title on this poster are very concise and expressive, reminiscent of blackletter, but have a simplified look, which looks quite fresh even today. It was very inspiring to bring this font to life. In the process of redrawing and redesigning, the font has been slightly modified, but retained the character of those six letters from the reference poster. This is a header font consisting only of uppercase letters. It contains 6 styles from Light to ExtraBold. Despite the fact that the font has the character of blackletter, due to simplified forms, increased contrast and sharp lines, the font looks like a modern rethinking of Gothic script and it has found a new life. The name Rigel is taken for a reason. Rigel is a star, an blue supergiant in the constellation of Orion, and the Ancient Egyptians associated Rigel with the Sah - king of stars and patron of the dead. The human body after mummification was also seen as the embodiment of the soul. Of course, there is no direct connection between the font and Egyptian mythology, but indirectly in this way I wanted to emphasize even more the idea of incarnation, rebirth. Rigel is good for posters, large headlines, logos and any other large font compositions.

Univers Next Arabic is designed by Lebanese designer Nadine Chahine as a companion to the Latin typeface Univers Next and with the consulting of Adrian Frutiger. It is a modern Kufi design with large open counters and low contrast. It is mainly designed to work in titles and short runs of text. Its contemporary look makes it perfect for corporate branding as well as for advertising work. It is also well suited for user interfaces and low resolution display devices. New Millennium Sans is one of three font families that share a common name, a common design philosophy, a common x-height, and basic character shapes. (The others are New Millennium and New Millennium Linear; all three work well together.) New Millennium Sans is a "humanist sans" in the Optima vein -- but without certain quirks (e.g., the "waisted" strokes) of the latter. It has proportional lining numerals whose height comes midway between the lower- and uppercases. (The bold styles are identical to those of New Millennium.) New Millennium Sans might be used in books, periodicals, or any large text blocks where a legible sans is desired.

Dez Yinznat Stencil is a condensed stencil sans serif inspired by the industrial city of Pittsburgh, PA USA. Stencil type was often used in the steel mills, scrap metal yards, railroads, warehouses, and other industrial institutions of Pittsburgh and is almost a signature for the City. The name comes from combining two colloquial expressions common to Pittsburgh. “Yinz” is used there like "Y'all" is used in Southern States. "n'at" or sometimes "N@" is used to replace “and that” when ending a phrase. This font is dedicated to the hard-working people who made Pittsburgh what it is, N@. I was in a bit of a gloomy mood just before I created this font. I had no inspiration whatsoever (which always affects me in a bad way). I was trying to create a font using broken satay skewers, as using those gives the letters a unique look. I broke about 25 skewers and they all broke ‘the wrong way’. Yes, it’s pathetic, I know, but that’s how it is. I decided to go to the gym and do a little workout, hoping my dark mood would pass. When I came back, I broke one more skewer and lo and behold, it broke exactly the right way! I made this font in one go, using that fantastic skewer and lots of Chinese ink. Darkness Rising comes with all the diacritics you’ll need, plus double letter ligatures and some cool underlined alternates.
