Zulu-Ndebele Pattern is the first ever font to be based solely on the traditional decorative patterns of the Zulu and Ndebele tribes of Southern Africa. The designer has lived in KwaZulu (Place of the Zulu), for over 50 years and has made a life-long study of traditional Zulu beadwork and carving, and of Ndebele wall decoration. There are 52 pattern units that may be combined in many ways to create borders, backgrounds and an unlimited number of designs. The pattern units correspond to the upper and lower case letters. The reason that the Zulu and Ndebele patterns have been grouped together is that the true tribal areas are contiguous and the there has been much artistic cross-fertilization between the two cultures. Many of the patterns that are used by the two tribes are identical.

More Printing Helpers JNL gathers another assortment of vintage printing embellishments and ornaments from the late 1800s. Within the standard twenty-six alphabet keys are pointing hands, corner pieces, border elements and decorative center and end pieces. On the lower case, certain elements have been flipped or inverted for matching effects. Some additional positions are available on the 1 through 9 keys and on the colon and semicolon. A bonus to this font: three expandable panels. the first (with decorative end caps) is attained by typing the left parenthesis for the left side, the hyphen for the center lines and the right parenthesis for the right side. The second one features ribbon ends, and the combination of the less than-equal-greater than keys creates this panel. The third design can be made by typing the left brace/vertical bar/right brace keys.

Vtg Stencil Germany No.101 is modeled after historic stencil plates from Bavaria. The design is a blackletter chancery, a romantic reprise of a style that was common in German writing offices from the 14th to the 16th century. The flourishes stylistically quote the Baroque period. A talented mind, perhaps around 1890, has transformed the textura shapes into a modular stencil system. Many elements are repeated throughout the glyph set - see for example the initial swashes on the letters A, B, U etc. Overall, this decorative blackletter doesn’t look like a stencil design. Maybe it was originally used by a sign painter, and all the typical stencil bridges would have been painted over in the final work. If you’re looking for a decorative blackletter font with a unique touch and a romantic feel, you will love Germany No.101.

Check out Mr Gabe in motion! Mr Gabe is a typeface designed to dance. Not that it’s a flamboyant display face, but that it has a liveliness, especially in its heavier weights, that dances across the page. And the letters include a selection of exuberant flourishes that can be used to kick up a ruckus or make a sweeping gesture. Mr Gabe is a high-contrast serif typeface with vertical stress, a “modern” face in traditional type terms. Even in the regular weight, the contrast between thick and thin strokes is very obvious. Designer Andrea Leksen has given many of the lowercase letters ball terminals, teardrop shapes that make Mr Gabe seem decorated even when most of its letter forms are conservative. The lettering and 100 extras for this font set, the third in P22’s Frank Lloyd Wright series, are derived from letterforms and decorative embellishments found in Wright’s early work (1893–1910) and in his book, The House Beautiful (1896–97).
