I have been making some clean, connected fonts lately and when I was working on another one of these, I felt the need for something chaotic. So, Scapegoat was born. I used a round nibbed steel pen and Chinese ink and the result is quite a messy font. It may look chaotic, but as Nietzsche once said: ‘from chaos comes order’. Amen to that! Comes with double letter ligatures for the lower case and a whole lot of diacritics.

Himmelblau is a Jugendstil font based on a poster from 1902 made by the 'Künstlerbund Hagen'. This group of Austrian artists was formed in the late 19th century and was named after the owner of Vienna inn, which the artists frequented. The group's most prominent members were Heinrich Lefler and Joseph Urban. Himmelblau is quite an elegant font - legible, organic and flowing, so it would be perfect for posters and display uses. Himmelblau comes with extensive language support.

Pontifica is based on ‘protogothic’ calligraphy, a style developed at the monastery of St. Gall in the 12th century to replace Carolingian minuscule with a more efficient and compact system of lettering. Ultimately it became the progenitor of the gothic lettering styles of the late Medieval period. Also available to go with this font is a special swash version with a very different style, but compatible overall appearance.

Inspired by the hand lettered title on the cover of a mid-1950s comic book [based on the beloved children’s TV host Captain Kangaroo], Treasure House JNL is a casual, playful serif font available in both regular and oblique versions. From 1955 through 1984, the late Bob Keeshan brought the gentle Captain into the living rooms of eager youngsters who were both taught and entertained each weekday morning.

Garstang Engraved is the latest in Greater Albion's series of ‘wood type’ inspired fonts. Garstang Engraved is a hand-cut Roman, suggesting the late Victorian era, but the type of thing that continued in use well into the twentieth century. Obelysk Grotesk was designed by the Lanston Drawing Office in the late 1980s. This face is a reconstruction of Spire (1937) drawn by Sol Hess. The skeleton of Spire Roman stands with the serifs removed. Like Spire, this font has no lower case, but does offer alternate cap styles in some of the lower case positions. Spire and Obelysk have both been used prominently in the fashion industry.

The Danish designer Nina Lee Storm designed Noa for use on television and computer screens during the late 1990s. She began her six-member type family with the creation of bitmap fonts, developing their print outlines only secondarily. Noa’s letters exhibit a tall x-height, coupled with very short ascenders and descenders. Storm is proud to report that her typeface also looks very “Danish.” Why don't you give it a try?

Lansere is an art-deco typeface inspired by lettering of Russian graphic artist, painter and sculptor Evgeniy Lansere (1875–1946). A strongly geometric lettering style of his late book covers and an elegance of early ones has been combined in a modern typeface . Ahhh, who doesn't want to sleep late? That’s excactly what a “sovetryne” wants ... even though he/she often sleeps way to much! But that’s not the case with this font. It’s legible, even though it’s slightly worn. Worn Gothic, a typeface from the Grit History™ B family, creates rock solid text-- characters that are weathered, defined and strong, like the body of a gargoyle. Unzial typefaces consist of letter forms of the Capitalis Monumentalis and the majescule cursive. The origins of Unizial faces date back to the 5th century. The Neue Hammer Unziale was developed from the Hammer typeface, which was designed by Victor Hammer in 1921, cut by A. Schuricht and appeared with the font foundry Klingspor in 1923. In 1953, American Unizial was expanded to include some new figures, also designed by Hammer, and was rereleased by Klingspor with the name Neue Hammer Unziale. I searched all over the internet looking for a realistic sand writing font and came away empty handed. Undaunted by this, I grabbed my business partner, Mary and trekked down to our local river, the Arkansas (pronounced ar-KAN-sas around here). Using sticks, we scratched out the entire alphabet in the sand, including upper & lowercase, and punctuation marks! I photographed the characters, converted them to line art on my computer and used font creating software to turn it into a true type font! This font was designed for adding dates, places and messages to your beach photos that looked as if you wrote it in the sand before you took the picture! It is a decorative font best used in large, headline sizes. To make it appear more realistic, select a darker color from the sand in the photo to use for the type instead of black!

Legere is a slim, light and decorative font, based on the idea to work as close as possible on the geometric forms of the circle, the triangle and the square. This rough font, was created inspired from a lot of various european documents dated from the end of 1600's. We were in search of a hand to accompany with "The Treasure Island" novel by R.L. Stevenson, and this seems to be the good one. It is a "Pro" font containing Western (including Celtic) and Northern European, Icelandic, Baltic, Eastern, Central European and Turquish diacritics. We have also included a few old English specific abbreviations. The numerous alternates (four sorts of standard lowercases and two sets of capitals) and numerous ligatures allow to made the font looking like a real various hand. Using an OTF software, the features allow to vary each character without anything to do but to select contextual alternates and standard ligatures and/or stylistic alternates options. The "Ru" version is a supplementary choice, offering Russian Cyrillics.

Modern typefaces refer to designs that bear similarities to Bodoni and other Didone faces, which were first created during the late 1700s. Ed Benguiat developed ITC Modern No. 216 in 1982 for the International Typeface Corporation (ITC). Showing a high degree of contrast between thick and thin strokes, as well as a large x-height, this revival is more suited to advertising display purposes than the setting of long running text, or books. Many traits in Benguiat's design are worth further notice. The thick stems of the roman weights have a very stately, solid presence. Their thin serifs have been finely grafted on, a masterful solution to the challenge of bracketing presented by Modernist designs. The italic weights have a very flowing, script-like feel to them, and the letters take the form of true italics, not obliques. The ITC Modern No. 216 family contains the following font styles: Light, Light Italic, Medium, Medium Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Heavy, and Heavy Italic.

Cowboy Rodeo is based on an old woodtype font from the late 1800’s Saddle up boys and girls the new Cowboy Rodeo is here, the perfect font for when you need to put a little giddy up in your chickabiddy.
