Ecliptica is an extended family of five very condensed typefaces in a single bold weight. The creation of Australian designer Robert Bell. The curves are vintage and the serifs are big. They're so big that for years I never had the courage to tackle this intimidating font. But when fellow signmaker Frank Smith laid the groundwork for this intriguing typeface by Frank H. Atkinson, I couldn't pass on the opportunity to take it from paper to keyboard. After all, at over 100 years old, I felt this alphabet had never been given a proper, digital treatment. So how did this face survive the last century? Well, for those who don't know the history, it survived in Atkinson's ubiquitous book, Sign Painting, published first in 1908, the generational standard for anyone interested in sign-related type design. The layouts and lettering treatments in this book have influenced countless designers for more than a hundred years, but most haunting to me was this strange face with the big serifs. Well, I'm haunted no more. The work is done, the kerning is complete, and nothing but a mouse-click separates a very old idea from the modern world. It's wide, it's big, and with those crazy serifs, it is definitely eccentric-!!!

Bold Display Sans JNL is loosely based on one of the classic alphabets found within a Speedball Lettering Textbook of the 1940s; itself called "Bold Display". The original featured a stippled texture and inline curves placed in random patterns throughout the letters. This more simplified, all-caps version is for titling requirements where a strong, yet casual design is needed.

A personalized cursive written with the pointed brush The strange name of this font means nothing other than ”brush,“ but only the Dutch understand it. The typeface is spirited, amusing and flashy. I made the handwritten original of DeBorstel Brush quickly and without interruption with a pointed brush. In the capitals, DeBorstel Brush appears to be almost too balanced for handwriting. In contrast, the lower case letters are intentionally very individual and uneven. A bit more life is added to the typeface with ligatures activated which are constructed with alternative letter forms — and as a result, a number of problematic letter-combinations are improved. Anbar is an Arabetic typeface design with visually connected glyphs, named after the historical Iraqi province Anbar, which is traditionally believed to be the birthplace of the earliest Arabic script, Jazm. It follows the guidelines of the Mutamathil Taqlidi type style with one glyph for every basic Arabic Unicode character or letter, as defined in Unicode Standards, and one additional final form glyph for each Arabic letter that can connect with other letters from both sides in traditional cursive Arabic strings. Anbar employs variable x-height values. It includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures and selected marks. Tatweel (or Kashida) glyph is a zero width space. Keying it before any glyph will display that glyph isolated form, if desired. Keying Tatweel before Alif Lam Lam Ha will display the Allah ligature. Anbar typeface family includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals; all required diacritic marks, in addition to Standard English keyboard punctuations and major currency symbols.
