Arabetics Detroit is a monoshape font family with a fixed single shape per each Arabic Unicode character. This font family supports all Arabetic scripts covered by Unicode Standards 6.1, and the latest Arabic Supplement and Extended-A Unicode blocks, including support for Quranic texts. It includes three weights: regular, bold, and light, each of which has normal and left-slanted (Italic) versions. The design of this font family follows the Arabetics Mutamathil style design principles utilizing varying x-heights and no glyph substitutions. The Mutamathil type style was introduced by the designer more than 15 years ago. The Arabetics Detroit font family includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures in addition to all soft vowel diacritics (harakat), which are selectively positioned with most of them appearing on similar high and low levels—top left corner—to clearly distinguish them from the letters. The Tatweel or Kashida lengthening character is a zero-width glyph.

The concept is “Geo-Soft”: characters are constructed from arcs of circle connected by orthogonal straight lines, with few diagonals and nary a sharp corner. The effect has an engaging tension, as soft edges are carefully balanced against rigorous structure. All four of the main weights, including italics, have exactly the same metrics. Beyond these basic styles, suitable for both text and headline, there are additional display fonts—Extra Bold and Black for density, and College, Rust, Rough and Medium Shadow for decorative detail. Kuppa is a yummy display unicase with a lot of attitude. Two styles within the Kuppa family a like brothers — look alike and still completely different. Both brothers have 555 glyphs, including alternates, ligatures, fractions and even german capital eszett and excluding Cyrillic in Basic version. Kuppa Regular is clear, powerful and will suit for menus, coffee shop and restaurant use, for magazine handwritten heads and sub-lines and even for kids books. Kuppa Fat is on the dark side — it is bizarre and wild, sometimes even hardly legible. Ritafurey is an extended sans in seven weights, with characteristic low bowls on the P and R. Modern, sleek and corporate, but with a dash of character. It has been used on tech logos, summer blockbuster movies and Playstation skateboarding games. This new version reinstates the original Unicase versions of the M and N (available through the Glyph palette or Opentype options), adds extensive international character support, redrawn and respaced glyphs, a new Regular weight for better weight flow distribution, and many other additional glyphs. Brrrrr is supposed to represent snow-covered letters, though it could also be letters covered with frosting. The lower case letters are identical to the upper-case letters. Buried in the font is another set of letters on Christmas tree ornaments. (They are on unicode characters in the 2400 block, circled digits and letters. See here.) The OpenType Stylistic Sets feature makes accessing these letters easier than using unicode, and another font, InsideLetters-Christmas, develops them further. The Brrrrr-Icing style can be used in a layer over Brrrrr to give the snowcap any color, not just the background color.

Guaruja Grotesk is the first Tipogra Fio family for headlines & body copy. The grotesque form factor is much inspired in the Modernism movement from the mid of 20th Century but the Italic weight is a great cursive contrast aside the Roman ones so you can make very brutalist layouts or craft humanist projects, without losing the communication between all the family. Do not be afraid to type words with uppercase I and lowercase L because this last one has its own personality so do others glyphs like Italic lowercase G, Y and K and the straight corners in the Roman uppercase A, K, V, W, X, Y and Z. ITC Tapioca was designed by Eric Stevens. He developed the typeface for a nightclub, yet its simple forms are reminiscent of childhood writing exercises. This effect is enhanced by rough edges, which in large sizes make the characters look as though they were composed of strings of dots...or tapioca. Sonetto is a typeface designed for the making of poetry books comprised of two styles: Regular, for setting prose, and Italic for verses. It is the result of a typographical exploration carried out at the UBA Type Design Master’s which sought to relate italics and cursive italics. Initial drawings were based on Griffo’s italics and early 16th century italian manuscripts that showcased connections between letters. Sonetto is in fact a historical revival, not of a particular style, but rather of a broader concept.

ITC Clover is the work of California designer Jill Bell. ITC Clover's design is even, rounded, and friendly. It has the look of the loopy cursive writing taught in grade school, although its shapes are much more controlled.
