In its characteristics Xtra Sans is a combination of modern grotesks/grotesques and traditional calligraphy. Missing Stone features grunge rough, lapidary, antique look inspired by letters carved in stone plates. Capital glyphs are, although damaged, satisfactorily legible, whereas instead of lowercase letters, capital glyphs are placed, also featuring nearly abstract, hardly legible look, cross cut with rough horizontal lines and dots. The overall visual experience is rough, reminiscent of erosion of stone and disintegration. Capitals are legible and of small size, whereas the second group can be used only in bigger size, whereby rendering an interesting text texture in the course of alternate use. dT Ampla shares many characteristics of the versatile sans typefaces of today: nice range of five weights with matching italics, 40+ supported languages, contemporary upper-to-lowercase proportions and impeccable performance in big and text sizes. Taranto was inspired by the typeface Domino by J. C. & M. Demarchi (published by Mecanorma in 1973). At its core, it follows the design language of Domino, but goes much further than its source of inspiration. (see fontsinuse.com for more info on Domino). The Taranto font family consists of 4 individual fonts (Thin, Regular, Black and Fill). Each font contains a glyph set of about 240 glyphs (Western European character set) and also contains alternates for some characters. October is the season for pumpkins - some of them are meant for soups, salad or other kinds of food. Others are cut into creepy looking pumpkinheads...and then there are the ones that are used for fun and games only! And that is exactly what this font is about! Pumpkin Boy is my laid back comic font with a jumpy x-height and crunchy lines. If you choose to write in uppercase only, the letters are a bit less funky, but still crunchy and great for headlines. I've added ligatures for double letters substitution for the most common letter combinations.

Snowflake is a new typeface by Jessica Hische, released in September of 2010. Inspired by cut paper snowflakes, this whimsical face is perfect for the holidays! It also resembles Mexican papel picado, so it is as at home in Summer designs as it is in wintery ones. Sole Serif is a newspaper face with features relating to book typography. Inspiration from Francesco Griffo’s romans was adapted to resist the rough usage typical of newspaper printing without any loss of quality. Sole Serif is available in an extensive range of cuts including extra bold and ultra thin. With its big x-height, short ascenders and a roundish and wide italic for text and titles, it has all the attributes of a newspaper face. Fatum™ is a new original ultrablack slab serif typeface that was initiated by the impression of the TDC 2011 exhibition. Redundant stem thickness and closed character shapes make a feeling that counterspaces are the narrow slits cut in massive character bodies. Fatum can be used in large sizes in placards, playbills, in the headings of magazines, newspapers and Web-pages, as initials in book setting, for typographic illustrations and compositions. Ultrablack weight also gives a possibility to insert pictures, ornaments or other decorations into the contours of letters. This decorative tech typeface is inspired by the printed circuits boards of the twentieth century. Its default character set suggests commercially manufactured circuits while the OpenType alternates give more of a home-brew feel. Nolde is a new titling typeface named after the German-Danish painter and printmaker Emil Nolde, one of the first artists to work in the Expressionist style. Not unlike the work of Nolde the artist, the seemingly rhythmical characters of Nolde the typeface conceal expressive tension of form and nervous line quality. While its letterforms hearken to the early-20th c. foundry types, this font makes a fresh and decidedly current impression, making it suitable for cutting-edge display use. Britti Sans is a modern grotesque typeface that has geometric details and deep roots in industrial design principles. Goudy Two Shoes is a digitization and expansion of a 1970s type called Goudy Fancy, which originated with Lettergraphics as a film type, then was released into the dry transfer (rub-on) arena, where it became really popular. This digital expansion of the original design contains many additional characters, including "plain" variants on the caps, as well as extra alternates and swashes, and even a few curly ornaments. Goudy Two Shoes comes in all popular font formats. The Postscript and True Type versions ship as 2 fonts, while the OpenType version is a single font programmed with features for OT-savvy applications.

John Baskerville spared no effort to create the ultimate typographic book. He prepared deep black inks and smoothed paper to show to full effect the letters that he had John Handy cut from his own brilliant designs, based on a lifetime of calligraphy and stonecutting. Punches and matrices survive at the Cambridge University Press. The present design is an accurate recutting, with particular attention to George W. Jones’ revision from the metal of Baskerville’s English (14pt) roman and italic in 1929 for Linotype & Machinery Ltd; Mergenthaler Linotype imported this design to the USA two years later.

»Supra Mezzo« – designed by Gert Wiescher in 2012/13 – is an unusual addition to the Supra family, a weight in between the normal and the condensed width. This cut comes in very handy if you need to put lots of text into a relatively small space without loosing readability. The compactness with great legibility makes Supra Mezzo absolutely unique. It is also a while since we’ve introduced a ‘handwritten’ design. Therefore, It struck us that one answer was something ‘hand-lettered’. EmBauhaus is a display typeface, geometric in style, inspired by the face named after the world changing Bauhaus School. Whenever I see clippings on TV of demonstrations, protesting against this or that, with people holding up signs, I am surprised about the signs being professionally printed or plotted in Helvetica or Futura condensed. I've even seen signs in Zapfino! That doesn't really cut it, it doesn't look much like a real protest. So I decided to give the protesting world a real good font for the occasion. In German a Revolte is an uprising, I thought that was a good name for the font. Hasta la victoria siempre from your revolutionary type designer Gert Wiescher.
