The Englishman William Caslon punchcut many roman, italic, and non-Latin typefaces from 1720 until his death in 1766. At that time most types were being imported to England from Dutch sources, so Caslon was influenced by the characteristics of Dutch types. He did, however, achieve a level of craft that enabled his recognition as the first great English punchcutter. Caslon's roman became so popular that it was known as the script of kings, although on the other side of the political spectrum (and the ocean), the Americans used it for their Declaration of Independence in 1776. The original Caslon specimen sheets and punches have long provided a fertile source for the range of types bearing his name. Identifying characteristics of most Caslons include a cap A with a scooped-out apex; a cap C with two full serifs; and in the italic, a swashed lowercase v and w. Caslon's types have achieved legendary status among printers and typographers, and are considered safe, solid, and dependable. ITC Founder's Caslon® was created in 1998 by Justin Howes, an English designer who used the resources of the St. Bride Printing Library in London to thoroughly research William Caslon and his types. As was common in the eighteenth century, Caslon had punchcut several different sizes of his types, and each size had a slightly different design. Howes digitized every size of type that Caslon cast, keeping their peculiarities and irregularities and reproducing them as they appeared on the printed page. This family has the 12 point, 30 point, 42 point, and Poster styles, as well as a full set of bona fide ornaments. In keeping with the original Caslon types, none of the sizes have bold weights, the numerals are all old style figures, and a full set of ligatures (some with quaint forms) are included. Archive Garamond is a typeface roughly based on the designs of Claude Garamond (ca. 1480 – 1561), a French publisher and a leading typeface designer of that period. Garamond’s influence on type design is reflected in many typefaces that are today known under different commercial names. While the majority of contemporary digital interpretations of the “Garamond types” are cleaner and more polished versions of that genre, Archive Garamond tries to keep the rough nature which was typical in the early days of printing. Archive Garamond has a rather unique, distinctive temperament which is even more emphasised with the preserved non-uniformity, such as irregular glyph shapes or a variable baseline. Although Archive Garamond was clearly made to be used for display sizes it works surprisingly well in text. Archive Garamond is availale in three versions, each containing approximately 600 glyphs (in Pro versions). Archive Garamond Pro A Professional version of the typeface contains all glyphs, including the advanced typographic forms, such as different sets of figures, small caps, swashes, historical forms, etc. The font also enables full use of the OpenType features. It fully supports the languages listed in the language list. Archive Garamond Std A Standard version of the typeface is meant to be used for the basic typographic work. It typically contains the most common glyphs. The standard figures are proportional lining. Besides kerning this version does not contain any advanced OpenType features. A Standard file type fully supports the languages listed in the Language list. Archive Garamond Exp An Expert version contains glyphs that are supposed to be used in advanced typographic works. This type of file contains uppercase and small cap glyphs with the proportional oldstyle figures as the default set. Besides kerning this version does not contain any advanced OpenType features (all OTF features have to be replaced manually). An Expert file type fully supports the languages listed in the Language list.

FF Good is a straight-sided sans serif in the American Gothic tradition, designed by Warsaw-based Łukasz Dziedzic. Despite having something of an “old-fashioned” heritage, FF Good feels new. Many customers agree: the sturdy, legible forms of FF Good have been put to good use in the Polish-language magazine ‘Komputer Swiat,’ the German and Russian edition of the celebrity tabloid OK!, and the new corporate design for the Associated Press. Although initially released as a family of modest size, the typeface was fully overhauled in 2010, increasing it from nine styles to 30 styles, with an additional 30-style sibling for larger sizes, FF Good Headline. In 2014, the type system underwent additional expansion to become FontFont’s largest family ever with an incredible 196 total styles. Use Caslon Antique for that old-timey" effect in graphic designs. It looks best in large sizes for titles or initials. Caslon Black was designed by David Farey in the 1990s, and consists of one relatively narrow and very black weight. It is intended exclusively for titles or headlines. Caslon Black has a hint of the original Caslon lurking in the shadows of its shapes, but has taken on its own robust expression. Caslon Graphique was designed by Leslie Usherwood in the 1980s. The basic forms are close to the original Caslon, but this version has wide heavy forms with very high contrast between the hairline thin strokes and the fat main strokes. This precisely drawn and stylized Caslon has verve; it's ideal for headlines or initials in large sizes."

Thalweg serif typeface is a project focused on the digitalization and development of the Thalweg font. The font was originally designed in 1993 by the Bulgarian artist Ivan Kyosev. In 2018 Ani Dimitrova began the revival of the Thalweg font and converted the drawings into a digital form. The existing set of characters required some necessary expansions such as the development of capital letters, alternative symbols and many other functions. Furthermore, some additional weights were developed which aimed to make the font more complete. Thalweg was completed in 2020 with 16 weights ranging from Thin to Black with extra drawn italics and small caps versions, each style containing more than 1100 glyphs. The font comes with an extended coverage of the Latin, Cyrillic and Greek Scripts. All of the weights are specifically equipped for complex, professional typography with Open Type Features. Ivan Kyosev (1933-1994) was one of Bulgaria’s most famous artists whose work influenced several generations of bulgarian designers. He was born on February 5, 1933, in the city of Burgas. In 1957 he graduated in illustration at the National Academy of Art in Sofia led by Prof. Iliya Beshkov. Mr. Kyosev was a member in the management of the “Graphics and Illustration” section in the Union of Bulgarian Artists, member of the UBA board, artist in the publishing houses “September” and “World”. Together with Boris Angelushev, he worked on the layout design of the “Literary Front” newspaper. Furthermore, in 1963 - 1964 he was the main artist in the publishing house “Prosveta”. Ivan Kyosev excelled in the field of illustration, book design and library layouts in various genres (classics, children's literature, poetry, journalism, memoirs, etc.). He is also the author of many fonts.

A grunge-oriented secret code font, Dekapot Deluxxe has mysterious underlines and accent marks that pop up at seemingly random locations as you type. Chicago Ornaments is a collection of decorative cuts cast by the Chicago Type Foundry of Marder, Luse & Co. of 139-141 Monroe Street in Chicago, Illinois. This collection was shown in their 1890 Price List. According to William E. Loy, at least some of them were designed by William F. Capitain. Chicago was one of the innovative Midwest type foundries, introducing the American Point System. These designs represent the late Victorian period. After 1890, with the posters of Jules Cheret taking Paris by storm, Art Nouveau gradually began to displace Victorian style. In type design, both styles competed against each other until about the end of the century. Designers may want to consider using these ornaments when using Victorian style typefaces, like our Cruickshank, Edison and Freak - as well as faces by others such as Karnac, Kismet and Quaint Gothic. Included in the font are a set of Dormer-inspired caps, numerals and a few other glyphs - also from the Victorian period.

Oh no, not another typewriter font! But Klaklak is different. Not only has Klaklak four weights from worn out ink (light) to typing twice (bold), an Italic (which is Regular with authentic underlines as there is no Italic on typewriters) and an x-through font called Klaxxx (no need to erase your typos – just x them out (just kidding 😊)). I arrived this concept as a means to fulfil a need for a simple yet radical semi-sans with rounded terminals. My concept called for a modular approach so a single weight font family resulted, the monoline stroke weights being one-eighth of the cap height and the x-height five-eights, the descent two units. Within these constraints I found it was simple to devise an alphabet which met my need for quirkiness whilst retaining its legibility. As for the outline, shadow and contour variants - well they just seem to work. If you are wondering - and you don't hail from the "Land Downunder" - Canberra is our nation's capital; Bondi - "water breaking over rocks" a beautiful beach in Sydney; Uluru is the name given to the world's largest pebble, (formerly known as Ayers Rock); Kakadu is a national park in the "Top End" and Koomerang means "hill of clouds" - all place names in their respective Australian indigenous languages. Come on down - the natives are friendly.

Nexus (2004) consists of three matching variants – a serif, a sans and a slab – which makes it a highly versatile typeface. Nexus started as an alternative to Seria, a typeface Majoor had designed some 5 years earlier. But soon the design developed into a new typeface, with numerous changes in proportions and in details and with a redrawn italic. Besides the three connected versions (Nexus Serif, Nexus Sans, Nexus Mix) Majoor designed a monospaced version called Nexus Typewriter. The Nexus family is a workhorse typeface system like Scala, with features such as small caps in all weights, four different sorts of numbers and an extensive set of ligatures. All fonts in the Nexus family come in regular, italic, bold and bold italic. Free bonus: there are more than 100 elegant Swash italics and dozens of arrows and other icons. The Nexus family was awarded the First Prize at the Creative Review Type Design Awards 2006.

This font family is inspired by printed work made by the Elzevir family back in the XVIIth century at Leiden (NL). They worked with material from several type designers, but further investigations sends us to the tracks of one in particular: Robert Granjon. Granjon italics were way ahead of his time, making some really beautiful signs like swashy ampersands and minuscule v letters. This font also contains old style figures in the same fashion as they were printed, like the flipped number 8 and open forms in 6 and 9. In 1905 the Parisian typefounders Peignot & Cie. issued their Série 16. This clear roman with a large x-height and an italics soon enjoyed a great popularity. Coen Hofmann’s drawings made for the Seizième follow the original Peignot Série 16 as close as possible. The regular font has the original small caps, while all members of the family are enhanced, next to the ranging ones, with old style figures. Also superior and inferior figures are available. The original series did not have a bold version. This was, however, carefully drawn for this digital rendition. The Série 16 and its versions for the composing machines were much used for the type setting of scientific publications. That is why a comprehensive set of mathematical and sundry characters are added to the Seizième fonts. Next to the accented characters for the several West and East European languages the Seizième was also enhanced with a Cyrillic, also available in regular, italic and bold versions.

Cowboya is a typography with concave Tuscan serif very contrasted and modernist inspiration with letters in small caps, includes 4 versions of the font that can be used by superimposed layers which results in multicolored typographic titles. For the design of this typeface I was inspired by the credit titles used in the black film directed by Frizt Lang in 1950 called "The House of the River", to the drawing of the original forms of the letters i added decorative elements to give the fonts a festive character, traditionally this type of decorative fonts that emerged in Italy in the nineteenth century were used in large headlines and posters that were closely related to circus shows, carnival or environments of the Far West American. I have also rounded the sharper joints of the antlers and counterforms to create a contrast with the sharp Tuscan serifs which brings a modern background of retro inspiration and soft shapes.

It's here and it's a major upgrade to Hudson NY. Weight variations and alternate glyphs were some of the requests that were being received for Hudson NY and these have all been taken care of in the Pro Edition of Hudson NY. Gloria Monoline is a text serif with an editorial focus designed by Ikhsan Maulana. The idea for a typography job came from a design school letter-making exercise: Get a pair of scissors and some large sheets of paper, and start cutting. The resulting letters and the act of cutting them from paper inform the type design process, resulting in strong, simple shapes and open, inviting textures. The tone is crisp and straightforward. The classic letterforms, with a playful touch, give the design a personality that is both practical and spontaneous. The text weight is capable of adjusting copies at various sizes to print and render clearly on screen. Its lightest and heaviest weights work best at display sizes. Great care has been taken to save typists time with OpenType features including contextual punctuation and symbols to match case-sensitive, lower-case, and all-caps settings, as well as set images set for each use.

Guerrer is modern sans serif family of 20 fonts, 10 weights from thin to black, consists of uprights and matching italics (obliques). It has 300+ glyphs which covers major western languages and has some features, such as fractions, ligatures, alternates, mixed case (unicase) stylistic set, tabular & proportional lining, etc. The mixed case (unicase) feature would be very useful for logo branding project which will give a unique touch to the logotype.
