Boardwalk Avenue is an elegant type collection of three styles and two weights of each. It’s divided into Boardwalk Pen, Boardwalk Antiqua and Boardwalk Serif. Boardwalk Avenue’s core is a connected mono linear script that works fantastic when paired with either of the impressive serif styles. All the fonts work great on their own but try putting them all together for a complete display font setup for a project. Or if you type “i” for example, as a first letter after space or after capital letter the code will add starting point to the letter to keep the letterforms more balanced. Since my first contact with blackletters in 1999, I became more and more fascinated by these artistic looking typefaces. It all started in the USA at the age of 16, when I took an art class. I decided to trace some blackletter typefaces because they looked very interesting. From this point on I was intrigued by blackletter fonts from all over the world. I studied their different body structures and their cultural background as well as the type designers behind it. Full of information and inspiration I started to draw my own blackletter typeface in 2006. While studying in Hamburg I got in touch with the studio of URW++, where I got skilled in type software and development. Creating a type takes an eye for detail and patience but also lots of time and so it took almost 4 years until the project was finished. And so Ruca was born. Ruca is a refined and expanded typeface. When you look at the spines, the tails or the flags you can see the detailed drawing, which makes the font also extremely good looking in very tall letters. The full character set contains over 400 characters, many ligatures, two number sets and all important currency symbols. Over 300 kerning pairs and many OTF-features make the font easy in use for professional type applications. The typeface is very well applicable for strong headlines and mastheads. Because of its unique appearance, Ruca is perfectly suitable professional graphic applications such as fashion design or branding.

Sapiens is a prehistoric font family characterised by simplicity & crudeness, as if carved out and assembled by our sapiens ancestors. The family is built with a rough edged style that evolves through various styles and becomes more legible while retaining the raw roots of its origins.

The geometrical drawing of Fenomen Slab follows the guidelines set by our other font family Fenomen Sans. Dragonflight Pro is a script collection of four modern calligraphy fonts. Each glyph was hand-drawn with a brass folded pen dipped in ink. The tip of the folded pen resembles the shape of a dragonfly’s wing, hence the name. By tilting the pen variations in line width are made. This produces fun, expressive letters with a spontaneous personality. The regular and rough version of Dragonflight Pro have alternate glyphs that can either be accessed by the swashes feature, stylistic set 1, or the glyphs panel, depending on the application you are using. There are lots of discretionary ligatures that offer even more variation. By typing _1 to _10 you can access bonus swashes that are part of Dragonflight Pro Regular and Rough. Both fonts have 567 glyphs. Dragonflight Pro Sans is an all caps font with 402 glyphs, also hand-drawn with the folded pen, that compliments the other styles perfectly. Dragonflight Pro Extra offers an additional 117 swashes, doodles and ink splatters. With Discretionary Ligatures activated you can type an underscore in front of a letter and (when available) this gives you the rough version of the glyph.

TT Ricordi Allegria was drawn by Antonina Zhulkova and reflects in its graphics the transitional stage between the classic serif with varying proportions, gravitating towards the Roman capital type, and the Florentine sans serif. The font is characterized by variability in the proportions of characters, contrast between strokes, wedge-shaped triangular characters, and the absence of traditional serifs. The main visual feature of the typeface is its diversity and the ability, using different stylistic sets, to completely change the character and perception of the typeface. The drawing of the characters from the main set is strict, thanks to which the font looks stern, as if the inscription in the font was really carved out of stone. And with the help of another set, we can add roundness, or even smoothness, to the font. This is due to the fact that the letters (E R K Q J Y in Latin, and Л К Ж Э in Cyrillic) from the second set have either very noticeable "curls" or smooth, rounded "legs". In addition, the typeface includes a set of beautiful ligatures for use in display inscriptions, such as large headlines. An interesting moment when working on the typeface was the creation of the Cyrillic typeset, since the Cyrillic alphabet does not so easily fit into the concept of the Florentine grotesque and stressed semi-serif. The most difficult thing in working on the Cyrillic alphabet was to create a system of spacing for characters, as it was done in the Latin alphabet, and to make sure that when typing in Cyrillic, the drawing of the text remained beautiful. That is why the letters Д Л У Ы appearing in the font family are somewhat unusual to the eye, and the proportions of other characters in Cyrillic are not quite “classic” either. In general, the Cyrillic set looks more display than its Latin prototype, but at the same time it lacks the sense of historicity or legacy of the Soviet past, which often comes to the foreground when working on the design of the Cyrillic alphabet in this type of serifs. TT Ricordi Allegria consists of two weights (Regular and Bold) and one variable font. Each style includes over 750 characters, as well as 19 OpenType features. Albe Sans is a font family that began life when I was struck by a full-color back page ad in a 1935 copy of Better Homes & Gardens. I loved the readability and general cleanliness of the design. This font is drawn from memory after that experience. It is loosely based on Palton for proportion, but heaviily modified (not to mention, Palton is serif): Lower case numbers, Euro, ballot box in the section slot.

In the years 1937 and 1938 Paul Renner drew these both styles of the Ballade font family. Now freshly redesigned and extented for contemporary use, both styles have reappeared. These fonts contain the historical long s, which can be reached by typing the integral sign [ ∫ ] or by turning the round s into the long s via using the OT feature historical forms. It is also recommended to activate the OT feature discretionary ligatures.

Linotype Seven is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. This prize-winning font was designed by the German artist Christian Vornehm. The font looks as though hastily drawn with a wide, bristly brush, as though the scribe was in a hurry. Coop Blackletter's core concept was to create a more friendly blackletter typeface by pulling together two very different sources of inspiration. The design is a synthesis of the rounded, affable features and heavier weight of Cooper Black with the underlying composition and calligraphic contrast of a Fraktur. It's kinda chunky, soft around the edges, and not entirely unreadable.
