Decorative font based on XIX century Cyrillic handwriting. Dulsinea is a handwriting-based font, that is why most of the letters are tied to each other. Burford Rustic is the weathered and textured alternative to the Burford Family. It works the same way as Burford as a layer-based font family, but with some style variations and new layering options. At VetteLetters we like food but we also appreciate our drinks. Yes, of the non-alcoholic kind as well. Like milk. Contrary to what Arnold Schwartzenegger once said, Milk is not just for babies. It contains a whole lot of stuff that is genuinely good for you. Like proteins, carbohydrates, minerals (calcium a.o.) and many vitamins. One time visiting The Hague, Donald DBXL spotted a tile tableau on a brick wall, advertising a dairy factory called ‘De Sierkan’. Yellow sans serif letters on a bright blue background, dating back to the late 19th century, immediately grabbed DBXL’s attention. Especially because the tableau showed both regular and bold letters with some lovely peculiarities here and there. De Sierkan appeared to have been a milk factory solely operating in The Hague from 1879 until 1961. A number of these wall adverts are still to be seen in The Hague streets today. Photos were taken for later reference. Later is now, the lettering has been digitized, missing characters added, and VLNL Melk sees the light of day. VLNL Melk is an all-caps geometric display sans serif family of three weights, Regular, Bold and Black. The basic shape of the letters is a rectangle with rounded corners, leaving a sturdy no-nonsense look and feel. It has a distinct historic aura, but with both feet in this digital day and age. It can equally well be used for the logo of a hipster coffee place, as the cover of a historic novel. Actually, VLNL Melk kan be applied in a wide range of designs like logos, posters, flyers, book covers and magazine headlines.

The script version of the typeface Viabella introduces us to the calligraphic side of the Berlin type designer and typographer Karl-Heinz Lange. The sketches for this script typeface, which resulted from the close cooperation with Veronika Elsner and Günther Flake, found their roots in sketch drawings which Karl-Heinz Lange had already drawn in the 1980’s. For the Viabella design, Karl-Heinz Lange drew the basic letterforms of the Black and Regular cuts with a brush. He then re-worked the drawings and transferred them on to tracing paper. The design studio Elsner+Flake in Hamburg cut these typeface extensions and later digitized them manually with the help of the IKARUS Sustem. With the Regular cut as a basis, Elsner+Flake extended the family with the Light version and interpolated and re-worked the Medium weight. The completion of the family was taken over by the type designer Björn Gogalla who had done the same kind of work on Rotola, a design which Karl-Heinz Lange had also created for Elsner+Flake. While Viabella was originally conceived as a headline typeface, its lighter weights can certainly be used for shorter text applications. The Black version creates powerful headlines with highly effective accents. With the help of swashes, which are available for all weights, the user can lighten up longer texts and add special character to titles. In contrast to pure headline fonts, Viabella has been enriched by an extensive complement of special characters. In addition to the Europa-Plus character set which allows setting type in over 70 latin-based languages, the user will find multiple versions of numerals as well as oldstyle figures, tabular and proportional lining figures, diagonal fractions, and a complete set of superior and inferior figures and fractions (60%). With such a rich character set, Viabella is not only ideal for many different uses in the areas of newspaper, magazine and advertising but it will surely be chosen for the design of greeting cards, invitations and other design projects within the privat sphere.

Gerard Unger developed this newspaper font between 1984 and 1987 for Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Hell GmbH, Kiel. He was mainly influenced by William A. Dwiggins (1880-1956), the typographic consultant of Mergenthaler Linotype, who started to develop more legible, alternative fonts for newspaper printing as early as 1930. Swift was named after the fast flying bird. Austere and concise, firm and original, Swift is suited for almost any purpose. Swift has been specially developed to sustain a maximum of quality and readability when used in unfavorable print and display processes, e.g. newspapers, laser printing and low resolution screens. Its robust, yet elegant serifs and its large x-height provide an undeniable distinction to the typeface, making it suitable for corporate ID and advertising purposes as well. Swift 2.0 family was designed in 1995. It's an improved version with technical and aesthetic enhancements and new family members. The Cyrillic version was developed for ParaType in 2003 by Tagir Safayev. Please note that this family includes only basic latin characters; it does not include accented characters required for western and central Europe.

Another Grotesk is a contemporary typeface that was inspired by the early grotesques. Upon closer inspection you will notice the terminals of some of the characters are slightly turned inwards, this detail gives Another Grotesk its distinctive and friendly personality. Another Grotesk is functional and has been crafted with a great attention to detail. It is available in 9 weights and two optical sizes with matching italics which adds up to 36 styles. Another Grotesk Text family has been carefully redesigned some of the details were removed and simplified, x-height increased, and ink traps added, but preserved the overall look and feel of the display version, to ensure a greater legibility and clarity in running text. The extensive language support allows type setting in more than 200 languages across Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts. Another Grotesk also includes small caps and punctuation, tabular and old-style figures, as well as case sensitive feature and offers stylistic alternates for K, a, g, and y to fulfil any creative need of a designer.

Centro Slab Press: Specimen Manual PDF Ever since its first release, Centro Slab has been particularly popular with corporate applications, branding and print media. The new Centro Slab Press version was redesigned with narrower proportions which are better suited for publications such as magazines and newspapers as well as web applications. Centro Slab Press is a very clean and legible typeface even at heavier weights, a characteristic which is not often seen among slab typefaces. This is part due to the fact that Centro Slab Press is not overpowered by clumsy serifs. Instead it incorporates semi-slabs which provide comfortable reading without compromising its modern profile. The italics are narrower than the romans and incorporate beautiful cursive characteristics. Vocal is a sans serif type family designed by Ani Dimitrova. The family has 28 weights, ranging from Hairline to Heavy with matching Italics and Small Caps. In addition, you get a nice alternate version of the Heavy weight with extra thin accents. Which is a pure joy for setting titles. Vocal comes with extended coverage of the Latin, Greek and Cyrillic Script. The Regular and Medium weights are perfect for body text while the extra drawn Italic gives an interesting texture to the text. The stems are a little tapered to the middle and the corners are cutted, which makes them a little rounded in small sizes. That gives the font an organic, warm and friendly touch. Trump Soft Pro is the softer, round-cornered version of Trump Gothic Pro, the popular condensed gothic seen on films, magazines, book covers and frashion brands all over the globe. Trump Soft offers a friendlier grade of the same economic functionality, clear modular aesthetic and extended character sets as Trump Gothic. The sharper Trump Grothic series is a reconception of ideas from Georg Trump’s seminal 1955 Signum typeface and its later reworking (Kamene) by Czech designer Stanislav Marso. Originally cobbled together for a variety of film projects in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Trump Gothic family was made available for the general public in 2005. Shortly thereafter, it became extremely popular. It continues to be used extensively today. A package for a swim mask and snorkel was the basis for this decidedly unusual typeface with a wild 1970s-era design. There's no telling how to apply this font to a project, but think black light posters, psychedelic music and some cheap wine!

Los Lana Niu was designed by Bruno Jara and Luciano Vergara. The typeface is based on Los Lana (2007). Along with the redesign, the font has increased from 1 to 24 different styles. This new version preserves the rustic aesthetics of the original typeface, but it lacks of curves and it visually looks as if it was a nirregular font. The name says it all. Gothic from the old literary style and/or current subculture genre. And Gothic meaning a block or sans serif style of lettering. The concept was to take the classic German style lettering and create a contemporary extended block letter typeface. The result is a fusion of old and new.

A classic serif font with a twist. WBP Emperio has an interesting shape. She has rounded corners and a slightly 'curvy' look. The little indent makes her stand out above the rest. A sensation in the making. Emperio has two styles. The Regular: Great for designing friendly corporate identities.
