Cooks call thinly cut - like matchsticks - vegetables "Julienne". I found that was a fitting name for this very narrow typeface. Julienne Slim is the extreme cut of the two. Personally I do not use narrow typefaces very often, but from time to time they come in handy if there is much text to be crammed into little space. I could make a typeface that was even narrower, but I will not do it. This is as narrow as my typefaces get. Enjoy what I cut for you, Gert Wiescher.

Linotype Octane is part of the Take Type Library, selected from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. The font was designed by German artist Norbert Reiners, a tall, thin font with a narrow line width and marked stroke contrast. Snippity Snap is a font made up of glyphs I cut out from black paper with some household scissors, then pasted onto white paper. When I was cutting out the shapes, my children asked me what I was doing, and when I told them, they thought it was pretty cool and started cutting out shapes from paper themselves. The result is a house filled with paper cuttings, which I keep finding everywhere - even in my bed. Snippity Snap is a very nice font for ads, book covers, packaging and children's books. Enjoy!

Eroika Slab is a robust, display serif, intended to be set large. While for most serifs, display means high contrast, Eroika's "displayness" stems from its wide stance, tight spacing, equal cap and ascender heights, flared stems and large x-height. The italics in particular are quite unorthodox, with their vertical serif cut-offs and foot serifs where most fear to tread ('scuse the pun). All fonts feature a useful array of stylistic sets, oldstyle figures, automatic fractions and case sensitive forms. All ligatures are in the discretionary section, as it's my belief that this typeface looks better without them, but I like to offer the choice. This 1538 Schwabacher was based on a font used by Georg Rhau in Wittemberg (Germany) to print Des Babsts Hercules [...], a German pamphlet against roman catholicism written by Johannes Kymeus. The original font has a relatively complete set of characters including “long s”, but also the special german types like k, fl or ‰, ˆ, ¸.... A few omissions were remedied, and accented letters were added. A render sheet, enclosed with font files, help to identify them on keyboard. Meleo is a semiserif consisting of 10 fonts with a few original quirks but still very legible at both text and display sizes. Since its conception, the aim was a balance of uniqueness and functionality. The typeface owes its energy to the slight suggestion of calligraphic crafting and humanist structure. But it also breaks the rules: a small x-height and a whimsical uppercase with resemblance to the lowercase may render Meleo more friendly than a conventional (semi-)serif. Titles and texts of moderate length, like those found on websites, flyers and packaging, are the natural habitat of Meleo, but it may as well thrive under different settings. Meleo supports most of western-european latin languages which are included in the ISO-Adobe character set.

ITC Coventry is the work of American designer Brian Sooy. ITC Coventry is what type would look like if you left a gothic font out in the rain. IF you look close, you'll see the roots of a handsome sans serif font buried under a layer of grime and rust, basically." The low-budget student flyers that Sooy saw in the Coventry section of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, inspired him to design this font and the result is a typeface which looks as though it has been faxed or photocopied many times. "While it looks very irregular in text, it's very carefully spaced to give that effect," says Sooy. ITC Coventry was designed to work just as well in text as in headlines or even on billboards."
