The original Swift (1985) proved its worth in corporate identities, magazines and newspapers and occasionally in books. It is a versatile type and can be used in a wide range of circumstances. Yalta Sans combines the warmth of a traditional humanist design, the clarity of a grotesque and the modernity of a square sans. Several design traits contribute to this melding of diverse typographic concepts. Characters find their foundation in stroke-based shapes rather than constructed forms. Curve stokes are also slightly squared and counters are open. Curved strokes join verticals at nearly right angles to create a strong horizontal stress, aiding the reading process. Abdo Rajab is the second version of the font FS Rajab which was designed by the type designer Abdulsamiea Rajab Salem for Future Soft company fonts. It is a leading company in Arabization field and producing the Arabic and Islamic programs beside the children programs. This font appeared between 1998 and 2000. In this version there were a lot of adjustments to keep the font in its spirit and uniformity between the various characters. Kompakt is one of the early typefaces of type designer Hermann Zapf, whose Palatino has long been a standard in almost every area of application. Kompakt consists of a single weight and was designed in 1952, two years after Palatino. It was produced by the foundry D. Stempel AG in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where Zapf was at the time in the artistic department. The figures of this extremely strong and heavy typeface are decidedly those of a broad tipped pen. When enlarged, the sharp outlines of the characters can be clearly seen. The unique dynamic of the alphabet is a result of its strong serifs, which on the lower case letters almost connect the letters in a line. Together with the slight slant to the right, this gives Kompakt the character of handwriting, making it look like it is always striving to go forward. Kompakt is an excellent choice for advertisements, especially for posters which should display a hint of nostalgia, and should be used only in headlines.

Someri (English: Sumerian) is an Arabetic type design with a Cuneiform spirit. The Someri family follows the guidelines of the Mutamathil Taqlidi type style. It has one glyph for every basic Arabic Unicode character or letter, as defined in Unicode Standards version 5.1, and one additional, final-position, glyph for each Arabic letter that is normally connected with other letters from both sides in traditional cursive Arabic strings. Someri employs variable x-height values. It includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures and uses ligature substitutions and selected marks positioning but it does not use any other glyph substitutions or forming. Text strings composed using types of this family are non-cursive with stand-alone isolated glyphs. Tatweel (or Kashida) glyph is a zero width space. Keying it before any glyph will display that glyph isolated form. Keying it before Alif Lam Lam Ha will display the Allah ligature. Someri family includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals; all required diacritic marks, Allah ligature, in addition to all standard English keyboard punctuations and major currency symbols. I was working at Bozell Worldwide, an advertising agency, on their yearly promotional pitch. An art director was looking for a condensed informal headline treatment to be used on one of the new ad campaigns. I took several different font designs and started to condense and scale the proportions in the hopes of finding several good solutions. They finally settled on a version of Times Roman, scaled horizontally to about 50 percent proportions. I liked the look so much that I later went back to the drawing board and refined the concept by adding slanted serifs and a varying alignment on all the letter forms giving the typeface a very casual and informal appearance. At about that time, I was reading a book by Jack Kerouac, and was so inspired by his writings on the ‘beat generation’ that I decided to name the font ‘Beatnik’. Afterwards, I added a set of true small capitals and old style figures. I'm currently working on additional weights and variations to expand this ‘hip’ new font series. Groovin' baby.

The original Jessen typeface, named in reminiscence of the great supporter of the printing art at the end of the 19th century, Peter Jessen, was designed in the years of 1924 until 1930. Bible Gothic was created by the famous German designer Rudolf Koch. Ralph M. Unger digitized this font exclusively for profonts in 2005, keeping his digitization as close as possible to the original design of Koch in order to preserve the distinguished character and the partly unconventional, original forms. The concept of a Bible Gothic was developing for years in Koch's mind and drove the direction of his work, but only after the experience with his Neuland design could he start the creation of his Peter Jessen typeface. Produced quite like Neuland, Jessen, however, is much more refined and more accurate in detail than Neuland. At first glance, it seems to look plain and simple, but if you look closer, the richness of its distinguished upper case forms unfold to a perfectly clear flow of text

ITC Avant Garde Gothic is a font family based on the logo font used in the Avant Garde magazine. Herb Lubalin devised the logo concept and its companion headline typeface, then he and Tom Carnase, a partner in Lubalin’s design firm, worked together to transform the idea into a full-fledged typeface. The condensed fonts were drawn by Ed Benguiat in 1974, and the obliques were designed by André Gürtler, Erich Gschwind and Christian Mengelt in 1977. The original designs include one version for setting headlines and one for text copy. However, in the initial digitization, only the text design was chosen, and the ligatures and alternate characters were not included. The font family consists of 5 weights (4 for condensed), with complementary obliques for widest width fonts. When ITC released the OpenType version of the font, the original 33 alternate characters and ligatures, plus extra characters were included.
