There's nothing really disastrous (impending or not) going on in my life right now, but I have always liked the expression. I thought about it when I watched a news item about the recent storm we had in Europe. The news showed footage of a person narrowly escaping a huge falling tree. Impending Disaster font is certainly no disaster. I created it using my fantastic Chinese ink and a broken tapas skewer (I seemed to have run out of my regular satay skewers). The result is a slightly rough, comic book kinda font. It comes with two sets of alternates for the lower case letters (which cycle as you type), one set of stylistic alternates for the 'O' glyph (and all accented O's), an alternate ampersand, asterisk, question mark and exclamation mark and a set of alternate numerals. Impending Disaster comes with extensive language support, including Vietnamese, Greek and Sami - so don't come running and say you didn't have any options! ;-)

We are happy to introduce Prague Metronome, inspired by the city of Prague and the metronome in the heart of this city. Prague Metronome, a font made manually by hand that we set in such a way that everything is connected in a neat rhythm, just like metronome used by musicians to set the tempo. To start with one personal fact: I really like to listen Rahsaan Roland Kirk. He was a multi-instrumentalist, real grandmaster and unique jazz virtuoso. The way he improvised and walked through variety of different music influences are admiring. One of things he liked is to modify instruments, so he modified soprano saxophone and got an instrument called manzello. When I was looking for good name for this typeface, it came on my mind that Manzello could be the perfect one. It has the symbolic background from the instrument and theoretically in my head, it's imagined as typeface that rely on stable classic examples, but graphically designed and modified to match modern standards. Manzello contains a dose of characteristics of display typefaces with terminals that aren't perfectly rounded, high contrast between stems and good balanced Italics with elements of fine calligraphy. It's a small font family, something what I was always looking for to have as first text solution in my web and graphic projects.

CT Ausetan is a typeface designed for perfect reading in continuous text. With humanist proportions and calligraphic details but actual, both in appearance and in function. Several roads have been closed around my village, so I need to drive alongside narrow country roads ro get my groceries done. The roads are so narrow that two cars cannot pass, so you need to use the (muddy) kerbs. A lot of cars these days have Xenon lights and they shine really bright and blue. I am non xenon-phobic, but I can tell you that the ‘old’ yellowish headlight were softer on the eyes, especially when you’re trying to navigate narrow country roads! Yes, I know, a long story leading nowhere, but a little personal story (in my opinion) is better than a boring text full of technical bla bla.
