Ambrosine is a female name, which comes from the Greek. It means ‘immortal’. This handmade didone-ish font may not be immortal, but it is quite divine in appearance. Comes in regular and italic styles.

Mulberry is a beautiful handwritten calligraphy script that comes with lovely alternates, ligatures, extras and ornaments. Choose between Mulberry Script or Mulberry Script Pro and two font weights (Regular/Bold). Mulberry Script comes with a basic set of alternates. The lettering style of Show Biz JNL is a classic sanserif with Art Deco influences. Slight variations in some letter shapes set it off from similar releases. The basic inspiration for this font was a set of ceramic letters and numbers used for home movie titling, but a few touches were added to give the font its own style and flavor.

SchmalfetteCP is the result of another collaboration between designers Jason Walcott and Rob King. King suggested that Walcott revive this wonderful and somewhat forgotten sans serif typeface from the mid 1950s. Originally designed by Walter Haettenschweiler in 1954, Schmalfette Grotesk was used for many years in the German magazine "Twen". The typeface was notoriously hard to acquire at the time and graphic designers in the USA often resorted to cutting letters from the Twen magazines and reusing them in their own designs. Later, when digital type came along several typefaces very similar were created that claimed to be digital revivals of Schmalfette Grotesk. However, they are actually only loosely based on the original. The proportions are different and in some cases a lower case was added. The original font was all caps. At Rob King's suggestion, Jason Walcott has strived to recreate the most faithful digital revival possible of the original Schmalfette Grotesk with the new version of SchmalfetteCP. In some cases small changes were made to accommodate today's digital needs (e.g. web fonts), but anyone who has ever searched for this typeface now has a version available that most closely resembles Haettenschweiler's original work. Schmalfette CP comes in OpenType format in both .ttf and .otf files and offers support for all Latin based and Eastern European languages.

Satsuma. It used to be only a Japanese orange, but now it's a typeface as well. A rather unusual typeface. Satsuma is rough around the edges, squarish and playful. It is handmade and comes with over 400 interlocking ligatures. If that ain't fun, I don't know what is! Of course, Satsuma comes with extensive language support AND accented ligatures! Due to the complexity of this font, it only comes as TTF.

Cerulean comes from the Latin word caeruleus, meaning dark blue. I have always liked this color, so I decided to name a font after it. Cerulean Blue is a handmade brush font family, consisting of a nice handwritten font and a caps font. Both fonts come with their Italics. Cerulean Blue can be used for just about any design, but product packaging and book covers come to mind.

I have no fantastic story on how I came up the name to share with you. I am currently not in an asylum, nor will I be in the near future. I also finished this font way before midnight, so it is just a crazy name for a scary looking font! Midnight Asylum was made with a pencil and Chinese ink. It comes with a full set of alternates for the lower case letters, extensive language support and a cute .notdef character, which is also the alternate asterisk glyph.

The Three Degrees had a song called 'Dirty Ol' Man'; Christina Aguilera danced around to the tune of 'Dirrrty' and my three kids leave everything that way after they have finished their meals, so I guess I really had no other option than to call this font: Dirrrty. Dirrrty is a brush font I painted in one go. It is quite dynamic, with some serious grunge in it. Dirrrty is all caps, but upper and lower case differ and can be interchanged. Comes with with a truly disgusting amount of diacritics.

Jules Verne. Wild, Wild West. Tomorrowland. The Past’s extrapolation of the Future. So it was wrong, it’s still romantic. Steampipe is a font constructed of bits and pieces, reminiscent of the ironwork construction of the Crystal Palace or the inner workings of The Time Machine. Although it works fine as is, it comes alive with some Photoshop Layer Styles. Steampipe has the most extensive kerning of any font I've designed, just so (most) letters fit together as if they were constructed as a unit; use them in a program that supports special kerning.

The minimal character of this typeface with its direct reference to Bauhaus, manages to keep the balance between strict geometric structure and elegance. It strays from monotonous repetitions and works equally well with Latin and Greek, while it really hits home with Cyrillic. Now, in its 3rd major upgrade comes equipped with all that’s needed for an international career. In total 602 characters offer support for all European languages in six different variations. Finally, five special OpenType features offer typographic solutions which includes a stylistic alternate set for Greek and Cyrillic.

Newgrange is a distinctive Celtic-style font designed as a companion to our Stonecross font. It has the same size and weight as Stonecross and the same carved/chipped style, but rather than being based on traditional insular minuscule letter forms, it's based on a squared uncial style similar to our Lindisfarne font. The result is unusual and rather more modern looking than we expected, but it's great for stylized titles. The name comes from the giant prehistoric stone tomb at Newgrange which some have called Ireland's answer to Stonehenge.

Atrium, designed by Alex Jacque, is a strong, linear, geometric sans-serif display typeface based off century-old pen art by W.E. Dennis. Atrium's stubbornly geometric letterforms are set off with a few softening flourishes on a few glyphs. It's sharp corners, straight verticals and horizontals make Atrium pack some punch when used in headlines, pull quotes, and logotypes. Atrium was released in 2012 in OpenType format and comes in three different weights: light, regular, and bold, with a regular and oblique version of each for a total of 6 styles in the family.

Inspired by Laatzen’s Bilderbogen etchings by the extraordinary artist and printmaker Horst Janssen, this font is packed with Open Type features that allow the creation of unique typographic pieces. Besides the set of automatic discretionary ligatures, this all-caps font also comes with two extra stylistic sets, so there are 4 versions for each letter (plus the variations contained in the ligatures). When working with ligatures turned on, the carefully handcrafted kerning table takes advantage of overlapping some ligatures with its neighbor letters, multiplying ligatures performance. Dahaut is a stylized, modernistic uncial variation. The idea for this font came from a small sample of hand lettering in a title on a book by Peter Tremayne. The idea of a bolder, more angular variation on uncial script seemed intriguing, so we developed it into a full font. It should work very well for titles and catches the eye by presenting traditional uncial letter forms in an almost futuristic style. For those who care about such things, the name comes from a princess in a Breton folk story.

Redig is a bold condensed display typeface with an assertive and athletic aesthetic. Inspired by newspaper headline typefaces from early 1900s it has chamfered corners with rounded edges that smooths out some harshness and generous x-height to its lower case characters. Redig will shine when used big. And I mean BIG. This is certainly a case when “bigger is better” really is the truth. Redig comes with an oblique style and ligatures and works best in headlines, logos, branding, social media or any display type use. Use it big.

Backwash AOE is a typeface I drew up back in 2000 inspired by various graffiti artists. Coming across all of my sketches recently and seeing a trend lately in graffiti inspired styles, I finally came around to finishing it up digitally for release. I love the break the rules, wildchild aspect, of graffiti lettering. And while this typeface is nothing like the wilder inspirations that I spawned this typeface from, it has a more legible direction to it, retaining just the flavor of the originals. I am not really a creature of habit, but when I start working on a new font, I make myself a cup of coffee first. I guess you can call that a habit, so I decided to name this font Force Of Habit. Force Of Habit is a nice brush font - made with a cheap pencil that I borrowed from the kids’ colouring box and my trusted (and seemingly ever flowing) Chinese ink. Force Of Habit comes with extensive language support, some alternates and - quite possibly - a faint smell of freshly roasted coffee..

A few fonts ago I mentioned the fact that I like posh English words; words you don’t really use in conversation. As I am busy expanding my ‘halloween’ font collection, I came across the beautiful word Nefarious. It means wicked or evil and when you say the word, it even sounds evil! Fantastic! Nefarious is a halloween/witches font. It looks like my Griezelig font, but it is rougher and spikier. Use Nefarious for your halloween invitations, posters and books about evil geniuses. Comes with all diacritics and a bunch of swashes as well.

Xanthine… is a purine base found in most human body tissues. Yes, you can forget that. I don’t even know what it means, but I suddenly realised that I was running low on fonts with an ‘x’ in the name. Xanthine font is a messy brush: it is all caps, but upper and lower case mingle freely. It comes with a whole bunch of diacritics and some interesting ligatures as well. I already toyed with the idea of creating a font loosely based on my son Sam's handwriting and I figured Orenji would be a good name for it. Orenji is a fun, cute and extravagant font. My 9-year old son Sam asks a lot (a LOT!) of questions. Like: ‘what killed the dinosaurs?’ (probably an asteroid), ‘what is the distance to Pluto’ (about 7.5 billion km), ‘how big is space’ (93 billion lightyears - give or take). I am pretty sure he asked me about gravity as well. Gravitational Pull is a messy pencil script font. It comes with a whole bunch of double-letter ligatures and some really wonky glyphs. And no, in its virtual form, this font is not subject to the Earth’s gravitational pull.
