Originally I wanted to call this font Chewy Caramel, because I love caramel. But that name was already taken, so I deleted two letters in the name and ended up with Chewy Camel instead. I know that the designer of Chewy Caramel don’t mind - because that is my good friend, David, who made that one! :) Chewy Camel was made with a slightly blurry and inky pen, and is suitable for most things that need a true organic hand lettered font. Pomerans is a redo of an old font of mine called Suco De Laranja. Since the original font had a citrusy name, I decided to name this reincarnation Pomerans, which means ‘Seville Orange’ in Dutch. I doubt that there are many Dutch people who actually know what a pomerans is! Pomerans is a handmade, all caps font. I kept the look and feel of the original font, but I cleaned up the glyphs, added new glyphs and added additional language support (including Vietnamese and Sami).

Around the turn of the 20th Century, the Inland Type Foundry produced a display face named Studley. It was a variation on a design by another foundry called Florentine. A condensed face with a bold, clean look, the design resembled the warmth and feel of a classic wood type. Best applied to headlines and titles, the font reads amazingly well at even 18 point renderings. Jeff Levine had added his own personal touch to his digital version of this old favorite and renamed it Bayview JNL.

The A.B. Dick Company was a manufacturer of mimeograph duplicating machines which produced copies by the process of transferring ink through an etched wax stencil onto paper. Customers had the option of purchasing various size and style lettering guides in order to create eye-catching headlines or announcements on their print projects. One such guide called ‘Modern Display’ featured a lettering style resembling Futura Black with added serifs. This is now available as Template Moderne JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

This building on the Spuistraat, also called "Het Bungehuis", used to house offices, but is now part of the University of Amsterdam. In 2015 it had its brief moment of fame, when students, demanding more democracy at the University, occupied it. Bungehuis is a heavy art deco font and would look great on posters and in headlines. It comes with a rather democratic range of diacritics.

Giambattista Bodoni (1740-1813) was called the King of Printers; he was a prolific type designer, a masterful engraver of punches and the most widely admired printer of his time. His books and typefaces were created during the 45 years he was the director of the fine press and publishing house of the Duke of Parma in Italy. He produced the best of what are known as modern" style types, basing them on the finest writing of his time. Modern types represented the ultimate typographic development of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. They have characteristics quite different from the types that preceded them; such as extreme vertical stress, fine hairlines contrasted by bold main strokes, and very subtle, almost non-existent bracketing of sharply defined hairline serifs. Bodoni saw this style as beautiful and harmonious-the natural result of writing done with a well-cut pen, and the look was fashionable and admired. Other punchcutters, such as the Didot family (1689-1853) in France, and J. E. Walbaum (1768-1839) in Germany made their own versions of the modern faces. Even though some nineteenth century critics turned up their noses and called such types shattering and chilly, today the Bodoni moderns are seen in much the same light as they were in his own time. When used with care, the Bodoni types are both romantic and elegant, with a presence that adds tasteful sparkle to headlines and advertising. Parma was designed by the monotype Design Team after studying Bodoni's steel punches at the Museo Bodoniana in Parma, Italy. They also referred to specimens from the "Manuale Tipografico," a monumental collection of Bodoni's work published by his widow in 1818.
