Very close thematically and in style to the rest of our “whimbats” (the Absurdies, Bizarries, Illustries, Genteta and Whimsies series), the Ombres contain a number of peculiar silhouettes and illustrations of people that range from cute to scary, with everything in between. Ombres offers152 pictures in 3 files. These imaginary characters were produced with different techniques: quick pencil sketches, ink, watercolour, though once digitized and simplified to bring them into the font files there is little apparent difference. The silhouettes, rather than flat shadows are more dimensional in their look, because they have been digitized retaining the original brushwork or pencil strokes of their source drawings. Some of them remind of the venerable tradition of metal stock cuts from vintage type foundries. The digitized results are quite different, but the energetic nature of the subjects has been mantained. Their vectorial file format means you can use them at any size with no loss of quality. Every Ombres dingbat offers ready-made images for a variety of creative projects. They can be used as they come or easily customized in any graphics program. Its shapes are ideal for attention-grabbing and for its eloquent character set, each style is presented with three levels of erosion planned with meticulous dotted texture bézier drawing, diagonal texture, and vertical texture pattern. Minnak, as a whole geometric display type is our take on Square Kufic (Makili) style Latin script fonts, comes in eleven weights with linear progression. It is an Uniwidth typeface at the core. From Hairline to Black, all multiplexed weights take up the same space in width and can be used interchangeably. Supports wide range of Open Type features, with many stylistic alternates in 12 context. Minnak is also have a close relation with pixel fonts, because in spite of its based on Makili forms, it all started as a pixel font in the drawing stage before further steps came into play. The key difference between Minnak and Makili style is that the latter must have the exact square counters with no diagonal strokes, and any other components of a letterform must conform to be proportional. Such style-specific requirements determine the overall dimensions of the glyphs and therefore, there can be only minor differences between the typefaces. In Minnak, counters are rectangular because of its narrow and condensed proportions, but the Makili form influence is still manifest. This impression is best confirmed with Medium weight where negative spaces and stem thickness are equal. Contrast and virtually no optical correction were presented, as characteristic of its genre had to have equal horizontal and vertical line thicknesses. As per the minimal and authentic look of the type, all glyphs are drawn as straight or only as 45-degree diagonal strokes. The representation of the ‘diagonalless’ approach is preserved by stylistic alternatives, making its similarity in visual aesthetics clearly visible. Marks and punctuation is another feature that doesn’t follow the strict rules of the origin style. Although not a pixel font, all building parts of the glyphs in Minnak share the same unit precision as they are designed with pixel equivalents in mind. Even space characters are designed to match glyph widths, meeting the demands of certain typesetting or multi-line lettering compositions. With its Pseudo Ancient and Runic alternates, extention parts and ornaments included in all weights, Minnak is suitable for branding, logo and monogram designs, the screen titles and headlines, packaging, posters, book covers and more, where it shines at big sizes. Its pixel font-like appearance makes it a significant choice for the modern compositions. Thanks to mostly uniform width design, it is possible to use Minnak also as a system for lettering. This feature can be used as vertical fitting of the letters between the lines. As a casual expression in Turkish, “Minnak” is one of the seven typeface designs in Esintype's ancient scripts of Anatolia project, Tituli Anatolian series — representing Seljuk period in the medieval Anatolia and their tradition of architectural stone ornamentation.

GummiType is a wildly wobbly and clumsy gummy/jelly style letter font. This was a weird typeface that I originally designed back in 2000 but never finished it. Coming across it again recently, I thought it would be a fun font family to get out there. Perfect for a range of designs that require a spooky or gooey-gooey typestyle. Sometimes the inspiration for my typefaces comes from random everyday things, and this is the perfect example of that. My daughter is addicted to those little peach gummy rings and gummy worms, and gummy anything, but it was my own prior addiction to gummy peach rings that inspired this font. Pulling and distorting the ring sparked the inspiration for the droopy warped characters.

I happened to mention to the proprietor of an antique barn near here that I'd be interested in any old typewriters she happened to come across. A conversation ensued, the proprietor withdrew into a back room, and she re-emerged with an old handwritten letter, dated 18 Sept. 1825 and spanning nearly three pages. The letter, penned by Samuel Clarke, a Princeton, Mass., pastor, sought donations for the victims of an accident at sea. I thought his script unique, stylistic, and definitely something worth digitizing, so I bought the old letter and took it home. Had to come up with several uppercase characters to round out the set, but the results seem good and proper. Full release has complete character set.

Some time ago I stumbled upon a little book called 'De Sprookjeshoorn' ('Horn of Fairy Tales') by Anton Eijkens (1920 - 2012). It was published in 1946 and contains several authentic and unique fairy tales - unfortunately unreadable to modern children, as the language used is out of date. What caught my eye was the handwritten font on the cover of the booklet. Closet Skeleton is a fairytale font inspired by the one I found on the cover of De Sprookjeshoorn. It comes with several curly alternates and some end-ligatures as well. I added an 'old fashioned' ampersand and a modern one, so you can choose which one to use. Apart from that, Closet Skeleton comes with a closet choc-a-block full of diacritics.

Gold is all new for 2021, the complete family has been rebuilt using the multiple masters technique. In this new version we've removed any alternatives that could not be shared across all weights in the family and we've trimmed a few others that just were not practical in keeping a consistent look to the whole font. All the alternates now have matching accented glyphs across all weights. Case sensitive forms have also been added to all weights. With 14 weights the difference between weights are closer together which may give you the effect of a variable font where variable fonts are not supported. For technical reasons the original Gold family has now been split into two families with Gold having ten weights and the four heavier weights under the Gold Magnum family. The Gold and Gold Magnum font families support accented characters for western, central and eastern European countries. Gold comes with OpenType features to access the alternate glyphs however you will need an application such as Adobe Creative Suite to take advantage of alternate glyphs.

Zarlino is an original typeface in the Blackletter style. It does not solidly adhere to any of the historical Blackletter classifications, but draws from all of them, with some characters owing more to the Roman than the Fraktur. Zarlino Delux includes three complete sets of upper case, ranging from the simple to the embellished to the even more embellished, two complete sets of lower case, and two more sets of embellished alternates for selected lower case characters. These alternates are available through Stylisitic Sets in OpenType aware applications. For use in non-OpenType aware applications, Zarlino Delux comes with a set of separate, standard fonts, one for each style. These standard fonts are also available for individual purchase. Zarlino was named by my cousin, a musician. Gioseffo Zarlino was a sixteenth century composer and musical theorist. Among other things, he offered detailed advice on the setting of words to music. With its blends of the old and the new, the simple and the ornate, Zarlino is suitable for many uses, from the elegant to the aggressive.

D Sert—based on the Pirata typeface—is inspired by 70s Chilean constructivist design and the political propaganda posters artwork of La Unidad Popular (Chilean political coalition). D Sert is the result of the combination of the Chilean graphic art revival with new trends, such as the handmade movement and super font families. The super family comprises 47 weights and comes with two versions: D Sert and D Sert Alt, plus extras. Diagonal strokes are significantly different between the two versions: diagonals of the Alt version are much more logical than the diagonals of the normal version. Another difference is the bowls of the capitals: in the D Sert version, they slightly project above the cap height, making it a more daring version and bringing it closer to calligraphy; contrarily, in the Alt version, bowls do not project above the cap height, which makes it a more tidy font. This way, the combination of the two versions and extras provides the user with the freedom to create any kind of artwork.

FS Renaissance is a display stencil typeface by the Monotype Studio. A collaboration between lettering artist and designer Craig Back and Creative Type Director Pedro Arilla, the single style font explores the intersection between art and design. With artist and designer working hand in hand, each letter was crafted as a standalone piece of art, while working harmoniously together as a functioning typeface. The typeface is inspired by the Renaissance period symbolised by flourishing progress in the arts, sciences, learning, and philosophy. The typeface is not a traditional stencil design: the cuts are not rigid but interactions that are hand crafted between each element, emphasising the idea of a typeface as a piece of art or sculpture. Pedro Arilla’s aim was to take the core DNA of Craig's lettering and apply it to a typographic base with a solid internal consistency, balanced with an external elegance. Pedro and Craig worked closely together to make sure the original concept was not compromised and this is reflected in the finished design which strikes the perfect balance between functionality and art.

For optimal text flow, both letters and ligatures have alternate versions programmed to come in at the appropriate place for both beginnings and endings as well as in various contextual settings. In addition, there are variations and flourished versions of almost every letter and ligature. Some ligatures have as many as 12 variations. Also included are fractions, a set of old-style numbers, and a set of ornamental flourishes. Hiatus is a unique contemporary script with the strength of a time-tested classic.
