Italiano Fushion is part of an expanding project on which we have been working for several years and which we are committed to in the future. Like the first two, this one too starts from the study of the great Futurist adventure of the early 1900s by great artists such as DEPERO and MARINETTI, who twisted the world of typography with shapes and colors. Italian Fushion is made up of almost 2,000 glyphs for each weight and in addition to hundreds of alternatives mainly, such as initials and endings of each word but also different alternatives for the letters I, J, Y. Thanks to the characteristics of Open Type, you can change them in automatic many of the alternatives, use it as a simple text font by changing only the I's and J's that have the typical capital dot, and giving the text a more fun breath to the composition. When designing a font, I often imagine how I think it should be used or where I'd be likely to see it out in the real world. With Barataria I envisioned it on decorative, antique-looking signs hanging outside shops in the French Quarter of New Orleans - hence the name. Barataria is based on samples of 1920s period poster lettering. It's a bold, heavy roman font with strong, rounded character forms. Barataria also has some unique alternative character forms, like the super-looped 'g' shown in the sample.

Hesperides is based on samples of Colonial period calligraphy. Rather than being directly derived from any one sample, some common characteristics have been emphasized to give it a more coherent and distinctive look, with the accentuated single-looped strokes on many of the characters suggesting a fully flourished style, but showing a bit of restraint. The ultimate effect is really striking, in the tradition of our Queensland and Allegheny fonts, but even more distinctive. The full version includes alternate versions of many of the key characters designed to reduce loop interference and add variety.

It can be tricky to find typefaces that can convey the feeling of personal warmth that comes from a handwritten note, custom brandings, special series of products, especially as we type more and more and write with a pen or pencil less and less. To add some more of that warmth to a font, I’ve made Ronet. A duo font based on the my handwriting. Double eponymous styles of the font —Ronet and Ronet Alternative— each have a unique flavor with its own rhythm and character. “Hi! I’m Hyptis – the script font based on brush handwriting. I was drawn with a soft, wet brush and digitally cleaned with care, but some of my characters keep their natural texture. If you are looking for a font for logos, postcards, product packaging, quotes, text overlays – or anything else – I am a good choice!” Hyptis has two types of embedded auto-replacement: lowercase letters without connecting strokes (for a case of the last character of the word), and ligatures (for a case of two letters that do not pair well together). These features work well in many apps (even simple ones like Notepad/TextEdit), and if you need to customize their application – you could use programs that support OpenType features (for example, Adobe apps or CorelDraw). All these additional glyphs are PUA-encoded, so if your software does not support OpenType — you could access them through Character Map (Windows) or Font Book (Mac). As a kid I used to write my favourite football teams name with 3D letters over and over again. I spent hours doing this - often to find out I had the colors wrong, or I had made a spelling error or two - but now, several years after, I have created the "Like a cat" font - so that you can make "handmade" headlines or funny quotes or even your favourite football teams name in a swoosh! Hello Script is a high contrast calligraphic script designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini, featuring monoline swashes and terminals and strong, round body shapes designed with a parallel nib. Brrrrr is supposed to represent snow-covered letters, though it could also be letters covered with frosting. The lower case letters are identical to the upper-case letters. Buried in the font is another set of letters on Christmas tree ornaments. (They are on unicode characters in the 2400 block, circled digits and letters. See here.) The OpenType Stylistic Sets feature makes accessing these letters easier than using unicode, and another font, InsideLetters-Christmas, develops them further. The Brrrrr-Icing style can be used in a layer over Brrrrr to give the snowcap any color, not just the background color.

Lüdickital is a handwriting script design. Lüdicke wasn´t satisfied with existing scripts which he though of too stylish and uneven. He simply digitized his own handwriting and developed a regular and a bold.

My uncle has a real fine handwriting. Especially the long ascender and descenders are very characteristic. It is dynamic and a good legibility. Try the font in a dark blue color (C90, M15, Y0, K60) and 22pt.
