The hand-lettered title on a piece of sheet music for 1938's "Don't Be That Way" (as recorded by Benny Goodman) featured squared letters with rounded corners, slight variants in line thickness and interesting "overhangs". Additionally, some letters closed off on one end while others were opened, giving the impression of a slight "maze" effect. This unique song title was enough of an inspiration to be turned into Musical Arrangement JNL.

The Quickstep Bold, a 'quick' font, originally made for the 25th anniversary of SSP Printing Co. in Amsterdam. First used for an intro spread of a Brian Eno quote in Wired Magazine (#3.05, May 1995): "The problem with computers is that they don't have enough Africa in them. What's pissing me off is that they use so little of my body". For a less outspoken expression, the Quickstep Sans was developed later.

After visiting Milan, I stumbled upon the Sforza castle, and found some interesting type on the inner courtyard castle walls. I became inspired by what I found, and decided to design a typeface based off of the limited quirky letterforms. Thus Sforza was born, with ligatures galore, alternates, pictograms, and swooshes. Sforza is a roman style typeface with a quirky flair. It has loads of ligatures, nested letterforms, and tails and swooshes for endless combinations.

An elegant geometric linking script that uses OpenType programming to intelligently substitute "beginning" and "ending" characters with uniquely designed variants. The family also includes swash alternates that can be toggled on or off in the Opentype panel. Pixel Promise is my wannabe pixel font. Yes, it is not a pixel font…but it is handmade and the “pixels” are deliberately off here and there. Nevertheless, when typing with Pixel Promise, you get that retro gaming feeling, and before you know it, you feel like you just want to insert another coin, press 1 or 2 players and complete that level! :) I have added 5 different versions of each letter and multilingual support

Static looks almost like it was stamped on paper: the black color is not evenly distributed and the background comes through the letters and consciously irregular forms reinforce the effect. The characters do not all have the same height, nor do they stand straight and regularly on the base line. Static is a robust font with bold, rounded serifs and is best used for headlines and short texts in point sizes of 12 and larger.

Zachar is a Roman typefaces designed for the horror and thriller genre but thanks to its strong distinctiveness it’s also suitable for branding. There are two versions of Killer Ants, regular and bold. Regular is a very cool cracked up looking font that will be great for all kinds of stuff. Bold is on of the most distressed fonts I've ever seen - there's crap everywhere - adjust your leading (line spacing) so the grunge overlaps and you have one awesome effect. Yes, those dots are actually smashed ants. Killer!

Developed over several years by the late Otl Aicher and first released in the late 1980s, the Rotis® typeface has become a timeless classic. ROTIS II SANS HISTORY Aicher was a renowned German designer and corporate image consultant. He created the four basic designs of Rotis – sans serif, semi sans, semi seif and serif – within an extended typeface family concept, wherein all designs share a common cap height, lowercase x-height, basic stem weight and general proportions. While each version is part of the large, integrated family, each was also designed to function on its own as a distinctive typestyle. The result is that all members of the Rotis family combine smoothly with each other. Aicher, however, did not design the Rotis family with the weights and proportions normal for more contemporary releases. Rotis Sans Serif, for example, was drawn with just six weights and only two italics. Starting in 2010, Robin Nicholas, senior designer for Monotype Imaging in the UK, and freelance designer Alice Savoie collaborated to bring Rotis Sans Serif up to current standards. The result is Rotis II Sans, a completely new addition to the Rotis family. “We devised our approach together,” recalls Savoie, “deciding which weights to start with, what kind of alterations to make to the original Rotis, etc. I went to work on the typefaces, regularly submitting proofs to Robin. Calligraphica was designed because there are very few inline fonts, and even fewer inline calligraphic fonts. The original forms were written with a split pen in a single stroke. The minuscules have a rougher look and the capitals have a smoother shape to imitate hand written calligraphy with more formal, decorative initial caps. The Calligraphica family contains 6 fonts: Calligraphica Regular and Italic are the regular upright roman true italic version of the font. The ascenders on this font are a bit higher than the capital letters--this is standard for most fonts. Calligraphica LX Regular and Italic are similar to the first 2 fonts except their ascenders are longer and reach high above the capital letters--giving these fonts a taller appearance. Calligraphica SX Regular and Italic are similar to the first 2 fonts except their ascenders are shorter and are the same height as the capital letters--giving these fonts a shorter appearance.

The original metal Neue Haas Grotesk™ would, in the late 1950s become Helvetica®. But, over the years, Helvetica would move away from its roots. Some of the features that made Neue Haas Grotesk so good were expunged or altered owing to comprimises dictated by technological changes. Christian Schwartz says Neue Haas Grotesk was originally produced for typesetting by hand in a range of sizes from 5 to 72 points, but digital Helvetica has always been one-size-fits-all, which leads to unfortunate compromises."""" Schwartz's digital revival sets the record straight, so to speak. What was lost in Neue Haas Grotesk's transition to the digital Helvetica of today, has been resurrected in this faithful digital revival. The Regular and Bold weights of Helvetica were redesigned for the Linotype machine; those alterations remained when Helvetica was adapted for phototypesetting. During the 1980s, the family was redrawn and released as Neue Helvetica. Schwartz's revival of the original Helvetica, his new Neue Haas Grotesk, comes complete with a number of Max Miedinger's alternates, including a flat-legged R. Eight display weights, from Thin to Black, plus a further three weights drawn specifically for text make this much more than a revival - it's a versatile, well-drawn grot with all the right ingredients. Embossanova was initially sketched to be a monospaced typeface but quickly took on a life of its own. It developed serifs and numerous arcs and stroke weights. I wanted it to retain a pre computer/unmathematical feel so there is a slight variation on curved characters and their relationship to the X height.
