Floro is a typographic family with 3 members designed by Carlos Fabian Camargo. Its idea combines medieval ideas, grotesque, stencil and grunge for T-shirts, stickers, advertising material design. More specifically the concept of Floro join several DNAís coordinating X height, ascendant, descendant and wide, in which proportions and adaptive optics were determined to inject great visual impact when composing titles. Its forms and counter forms have imperfections controlled with vitality and consistency. Floro is useful for ranking words and phrases with corroded edges and creases between the lines of his letters. In that vein, Floro refers to improvised design, deletion and copying. For that reason, its determinants seem stencil patterns that attract the attention of the reader. Its inaccurate decisions were planned that way, in which the type of contrast seems made with a flat tip and the amount of contrast between thick and thin is medium. Its sizes, regular and italic shine by their systematic wear and terminations sometimes in pointed forms resembling medieval darkness. Many times, when a new creative process is starting, it is triggered by an everyday action or item. In this case, the looks of a lady’s watch inspired Michael Herold to create his new typeface LUX. The sight of the chronograph sparked associations of the 1950s in Mr. Herold: While this decade was predominantly dominated by brush and feather scripts, there was also a bloom of strict and modern architecture. This special mix of strength and retro style is exactly what Michael Herold is trying to capture in his LUX. The result is a typeface which is perfectly suitable for use on book covers, posters and claims – thanks to its striking impression. The name LUX, Latin for light, is inspired by the high bright-dark contrast within the individual characters. Oft sind es alltägliche Gegenstände, die das Bestreben eines neuen kreativen Prozesses auslösen. So entspringt auch die Inspiration zur Erschaffung der LUX von Michael Herold dem Anblick einer Damenuhr. Jazz Gothic is a digitization and expansion of an early 1970s film type from Franklin Photolettering called Pinto Flare. This type became an instant titling classic with jazz and soul album designers; then it caught on wildly with film and television designers. Blue Note and Motown would not have been the same without this face. Jazz Gothic is a simple geometric idea, quite likely originally inspired by the heavier display weights of Futura. The resulting product is a versatile message-driver that stands quite strong and cherishes the limelight, yet shows a playful and artistic side within its curvy thick swashes and rebellious unicase forms. TA Regresso PRO graphic presentation at Behance TA Regresso PRO font is inspired by Didon and Bodoni fonts. A combination of a little Bodoni and a little Didon elements and a unique style and Text, Display, Subhead and about 80 styles, it is a font that gives the user a choice. TA Regresso font supports Greek, Hebrew, Cyrillic and Latin alphabets. After starting work on the font since February of last year, the font is ready today with constant revisions. Being open to learning, I sought help from experienced designers. I must mention that Yulia Gonina, the founder of Schrifteria Foundry, also helped me a lot to make Regresso good. With her knowledge and advice, the flaws in the font were eliminated. By the way, Viktor Baltus also helped me with his valuable advices. I did some research about the alphabets of the supported languages so that Regresso is good. I paid a lot of attention to the correct design of the letters. A grunge-oriented secret code font, Dekapot Deluxxe has mysterious underlines and accent marks that pop up at seemingly random locations as you type. But these morse-code-like dots and dashes are not random at all, they're simply attached to the preceding letter to make things seem more cryptic than they really are. Get it? Originally released as a Chankstore freefont back in the '90s, Dekapot (translated from the Dutch as "the broken font") has a newly bulked-up character set to add functionality and professionalism to its all caps display nature. These are fresh new versions of this font, made to replace prior versions formerly known as Dekapot Masss and Dekapot Deluxxe. Poke around a bit and you'll find new glyphs for Central Europe and a new Cyrillic character set in there, too. OpenType users get DEKAPOT-PRO with lots of language support. The Bustani™ typeface is a typographic interpretation of Naskh, a principal calligraphic style of Arabic script. Designed by Patrick Giasson and Kamal Mansour, Bustani is the first OpenType® font to offer full classical Naskh contextual shaping, while supporting all the numerous languages that use the Arabic writing system without the need for auxiliary plugins (an OpenType compliant application is required). Through the use of OpenType® stylistic sets, Bustani features intelligence to choose the appropriate letterforms for faithful interpretation of Naskh calligraphy. Bustani supports Arabic, Farsi, and Urdu – in addition to many other languages. While primarily intended for setting literary text, the Bustani typeface can also be used in a broader variety of projects that require classic, graceful shapes. “The face shines in environments where the text is given breathing space,” says Giasson. “This includes poetry, literature and artistic publications – perhaps even adding a bit of flair to parking tickets,” he quipped.

I arrived this concept as a means to fulfil a need for a simple yet radical semi-sans with rounded terminals. My concept called for a modular approach so a single weight font family resulted, the monoline stroke weights being one-eighth of the cap height and the x-height five-eights, the descent two units. Within these constraints I found it was simple to devise an alphabet which met my need for quirkiness whilst retaining its legibility. As for the outline, shadow and contour variants - well they just seem to work. If you are wondering - and you don't hail from the "Land Downunder" - Canberra is our nation's capital; Bondi - "water breaking over rocks" a beautiful beach in Sydney; Uluru is the name given to the world's largest pebble, (formerly known as Ayers Rock); Kakadu is a national park in the "Top End" and Koomerang means "hill of clouds" - all place names in their respective Australian indigenous languages. Come on down - the natives are friendly.

The Clearface types were originally designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1907. Their forms expressed the Zeitgeist of the turn of the 20th century; typical and distinguishing characteristics are the forms of the a" and the "k." The ATF version did not include an accompanying Italic. In 1978, ITC's Victor Caruso was licensed by ATF to develop a new serif typeface and matching italic based on the forms of Clearface. The result was ITC Clearface, a serif typeface with marked stroke contrast and italic weights. The teardrop-formed endings of the lowercase a, c and f (also found in Caslon) define the character of the face. The type's design is also distinguished by its small -- almost slab -- serifs, a large x-height, and little stroke contrast. ITC Clearface, with its historical touch, is good for both texts and headlines, but its slightly condensed nature performs at its best when it is allowed its space.

Brexit now has its own typeface. Brexit the type family is made for being slanted one way or another, to offer stylistic choices and expressions, like for or against, or remain or leave. Because Brexit is international, the letters are made to support many languages. The name is given to mark the British withdrawal from the European union. Brexit is an elongated display typeface in three styles. It is a sans serif with contrasts in stroke and shape. Brexit supports languages with latin characters and ligatures as well as Greek and Cyrillic. The italic and contra italic are extremes that can be used to contrast each other or versus a standing regular. Sometimes complex concepts are best communicated in single words, and the typeface Brexit is made for that and more. The typeface works well for clear messages, shop displays, poster work, menus, signage and other purposes where you want to have impact.

The source of inspiration for MFC Decatur Monogram is a beautifully styled blackletter from JM. Bergling’s 1914 book on Monograms and Engraving Alphabets. This elegant decorative style was shown only displayed as Capital letters, so we took it further by crafting matching Smallcaps, Numerals, and lined Capitals, Smallcaps, and Numerals. MFC Decatur Monogram can create one, two, or three letter monograms as well as basic headline and titling settings. It is a refined look that is as darling as it is elegant. Decatur Monogram's numeral set and bullet dividers allow for even more detailed and personalized monograms. Alta California became designer steve mehallo's "vector-based artist's response" to the early Apple Macintosh bitmapped font San Francisco. Alta California was developed using "sampled" wood type and letters from numerous historical sources. The name comes from the Alta California newspaper, the first daily published in California, one of a dubious Barbary Coast nature, a sheet that shaped the bias of San Franciscans and attracted its own grade of reporters, including a printing specialist who went under the nom de plume Mark Twain. Alta California's edges were meticulously redrafted by hand, with letterpress-inspired fallout and 19th century pointing hands. The final collection of rough hewn letters jump, dive, fall, zag and zig. Alta California looks great on greeting cards, food packaging, as retail signage for boutiques, vintage stores or at D.I.Y. sales, on band posters or club cards, in and around historical quarters, or for use on any ransom note that needs to evoke a wild west look and feel.

The Superior Marking Equipment Company was originally located in Chicago, Illinois and over the years produced a line of both commercial and toy rubber stamp printing sets which were used for making signs, posters, tickets and other printed items. Rough Print JNL reproduces the scanned images printed from one of the toy rubber stamp sets. The sample characters were smaller than one half inch in height and were further reduced during scanning. This gives the end result of a typeface which looks like rubber stamp imprints at small sizes, and very angular, distorted, somewhat grunge type when printed at larger sizes. There is a limited character set consisting of alphabet, numerals, some punctuation and currency symbols. No kerning was added to keep the hand-made appeal. Rough Print JNL is an all caps font with the letters and numbers jogged randomly on both the caps and lower case keystrokes. For a similar design with lower case, Amateur Printer JNL is recommended.

Giambattista Bodoni (1740–1813) was called the King of Printers and the Bodoni font owes its creation in 1767 to his masterful cutting techniques. Predecessors in a similar style were the typefaces of Pierre Simon Fournier (1712–1768) and the Didot family (1689-1836). Movie Script is the script that was used in German movie-brochures. Those were small four page leaflets with a lot of sepia-colored pictures about the movie one was about to see. Today those things are collectors items. The script was also used on those hand-painted posters above the cinema entrance. I cleaned up the old script and made it just a little bit more readable, but overall I left it as it was. Of course I added the necessary glyphs for today's world, like Euro and so on. When I was a kid, my grandfather gave me 1 German Mark and I could go to the movies matinee, that was around 10:30 in the morning, the entrance cost something like 60 Pfennig and the rest was for peanuts and a drink.
