New for 2020 Bodoni Ornamental now has two italics to choose from, one basic italic and a second which is more of a true italic with a few uppercase letters that have been stylized. Only one italic can be style linked to the regular upright version so in the second italic we've added Avanti to the name which means forward in Italian. When purchasing the regular upright and Avanti italic together they will install as two separate families. Bodoni Ornamental is a revival of a very old typeface based on the Poster Bodoni letter shape. Giambattista Bodoni passed away in 1813, this decorative version was created in the 1820’s or 1830’s which was the time period when many of these ultra bold decorated type faces began to appear, the original artist is currently unknown. The original version of this ornate classic was only available as a set of uppercase letters, today over one hundred eighty years later this font is now complete with a new lowercase, numbers and accented characters for Eastern, Central and Western European countries. Due to the ornate detail in Bodoni Ornamental when printing itís recommended to use a laser printer 600dpi or greater, a 1200dpi printer will give you the best results rendering the most detail at the smallest possible point size for this font. Small home user Ink Jet printers are not recommended for Bodoni Ornamental unless you set the font to a very large point size. With Ink Jet printers much of the detail in the letters will bleed together as the ink hits the page, commercial Ink Jet printers such as GiclÈe printers may give good results. We have transformed the “99 names of ALLAH” into a font. That means each key on your keyboard represents 1 of the 99 names of ALLAH Aaza Wajal. The deconstructive image is combined with a legibility structure like the appearance of the Neo-Classical style. The family were designed to head, enumerate, indicate or highlight writings or design plans, for this reason, the characters are available only in capital letters and some signs or symbols that can serve such purposes. A triangle or empty character is included so that the user can use it overlaying any character of his choice or to be used alone. What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like). Where does it come from? Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. Where can I get some? There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. Squalo, the genesis The idea of this project called Squalo popped into my mind while I was working with excitement on some sketches. I was chasing after a strong typographical character, something that for me has to be crystallized in form which is always legible and functional. The concept The concept of Squalo arises from the observation of an athlete’s body: you notice that even if most are lean, they are also strong, cut and chiselled. The sport they play molds and modify their bodies.  Just think, for instance, on a professional swimmer: during the competition every single muscle, tendon, tissue, cell is working to swim faster. Every single part is there to give strength and speed like in a “squalo” (shark in italian). Not as an eel, nor as a mermaid, nor as a hake. Just like a shark. If you take a quick look, you will notice that the width of the typeface is slightly more condensed than that of a standard sans serif. We designed Squalo this way specifically to assist and strengthen your concepts through stylized typography. We designed the joins and terminals (tip ends) of the characters A, V, W, Z, v, w, z, to create a feeling of “tension”, reinforcing the concept of shark, danger, caution, as well explicit, intentional movement. Pure strength. We wanted to recall the exact moment of the start of the 100 meters race: when the sprinter initially spreads all of his powerful energy. The italic version, starting with the former two typographical concepts of width and tension, emphasizes them. First of all, we compressed the characters 10 percent more, and slanted it 10 degrees to the right. With this movement I intended to convey the gorgeous feeling of tension in power and rapidity. The typeface has 9 weights, from “hair” to “black”, and two versions, “regular” and “italic”.  All 18 fonts include small caps, unicase, tabular and oldstyle numbers, numerators and denominators, and much more. The Brazilian illustrator, Flavio Morais, devised this amusing display alphabet to have his own font for his former website. We helped to digitalize it and encouraged him to complete it with a series of “chiringuito” drawings. More about his work here.

This circa 1910 European face was introduced into the United States by a German type foundry traveling salesman during the great depression of the 1930s. We have used it quite successfuly in sizes as small as 10 and 12 point.

Namex is a handwritten font with serifs. It tends to be a slab serif style while maintaining the hand-drawn shape, making it look original and non-standard. We recommend you use this font for retro and warm decoration designs.

Many similar fonts existed in Europe around 1900 and a bit before. This one was made at the Wollmer Foundry in Germany and, except for adding the requisite modern monetary symbols and other such niceties, we preserved it quite faithfully.

SpeedSwash is a stylised oblique script-fraktur hybrid. That description could should bizarre - lets face it, it does - but the result is actually rather splendid we think. Lovely for poster work where a sense of life and motion is required.

In our early days of type hunting, we considered this to be the prize of our collection. Fonts of this late Victorian period seem to have less ruffles and flourishes than the earlier ones, which makes them easier to read.

ZarHand began as my "speedball" showcard lettering font, used when the boss brought in a pile of urgent work at the end of the day. We would get out our "4 o'clock brushes" hoping to finish at a reasonable hour.

Lettering artist Alf Becker suggested that this typeface was suitable for postcard work, and we agree (although it's suitable for a great many other uses, as well). It packs a lot of information in a limited amount of horizontal space.

Kitra 77 was one of the studies to Hamuel Nine Five. Though at first glance we can find several similarities, a closer look will reveal a completely different font in color and proportion. Kitra 77 is an OpenType/TTF Unicode font.

This started out to be a font with an Egyptian hieroglyphic look, but took a detour just beyond the first pyramid. A young lady we know said many of the letters reminded her of the hooks on a bra strap. Whatever.

From an old wood type owned by a San Francisco printer. Wood types were customarily given somewhat generic names (Antique Tuscan) or, more frequently, numbers to identify them. Our clients liked colorful, easily-remembered names better, and so did we.

Like many of the Victorian decorative fonts, this one had caps only when Barnhart Bros. and Spindler brought it out. In 1990, we decided to draw a lowercase for it, making it more versatile. A good font for period typography.

Here's a wide, very light version of the widely known font P. T. Barnum (or French Clarendon, if you prefer). We have used this to good effect as secondary lines on old fashioned stationery. Reads well in very small sizes.
