Garis (credited as ‘the author of the Uncle Wiggily game’) and capitalized on the still-new motion picture industry. Martin Wilke designed the dynamic calligraphic typeface New Berolina in 1965. The light line of the strokes and the strong stroke contrast lets New Berolina dance across the page. The idea behind Geotica was to build a font out of -more or less- simple geometrical line elements. The open wire frame could then be left open or (partially) filled.
