Ico Phone is a set of 115 symbols depicting anything that happens on the screen of a regular mobile phone. To name a few, there are Bluetooth and sync icons, signal bars, battery statuses, media playback icons, USB symbol, lock icon as well as a wifi signal strength indicator. The style of Ico is inspired by the look of symbols used on the classic monochrome LCD displays. The symbols are monolinear with rounded corners, composed of a smallest possible number of elements. The Irongate Font Family has a retro personality. The common denominators, in all the glyphs, is a blunt center serif. The main top & bottom of each Cap & lower case glyphs have 'fan serifs', yep serifs that fan out. This font's influence is based on a monogram I designed for my daughter's wedding where she described her image of the event being 'Classic with a Vintage Flair'. Irongate can be pictured on many things dated from 1918 - 2018. The font is available in 4 basic weights Light, Regular, Bold & Extra Bold. An additional pdf is included that gives the code for an additional 14 Dingbats, with each weight. Irongate works extremely well with Invites, Stationary, Signage, Embroidery, Letterpress, Ads, Logos and anything that feels Industrial or Hand-Crafted, eg. Centennial Script was designed and cut by Hermann Ihlenburg in 1876 (the centennial of American independence, hence the typeface's name) for the MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan foundry in Philadelphia. Ihlenburg was then only 33 years old, and these beautiful forms put him on his way to become the most prolific and innovative deco, ornamental and script typeface designer and punch cutter of the nineteenth century. In trying to be a true homage to the history of the new world, Centennial Script transcends its then-contemporary deco fashion to embrace script elements historically similar to lettering found on maps or political documents of the 18th century. Letters like the p and s extend themselves high and mighty to accentuate words and lines of text in a fancy hand-drawn manner. The dots on the i and j are those of a careful scribe who acknowledges the importance of the document being lettered. The lowercase letters connect with two slight angular motions of the hand, also very carefully and elegantly. Even the ligatures and ending swashes Ihlenburg made for this face were reminiscent of a mapmaker's patient hand, though Ihlenburg's elegant touch in them cannot be mistaken. Although Centennial Script was one of the few Ihlenburg faces to make it to film type technology, the transition was neither credited nor faultless. The film type version was a bit sloppy in the way the connectors were made, so the lowercase needed a lot of manual work to typeset properly. To alleviate such waste of time for the user of this digital version, the connectors were redrawn according to the original metal ones made by Ihlenburg himself, and tested thoroughly in print to ensure the quality of the typeface's flowing cursive nature. This wasn't an easy task, and very time-consuming, since the changing angles on both ends of the connection made it impossible to escape from having to build every lowercase letter with both left and right connectors that would fit with the rest of the letters. This is one typeface that couldn't be revived in any other manner than the way it was originally made, regardless of more than 130 years of technological advances since the face was designed. Centennial Script comes in all popular font formats, and supports most Latin-based languages. Also included is an Alts fonts that contains alternates, ligatures, snap-on swash endings, some ornaments, as well as a complete set of the lowercase without left side connectors, for a more natural combination when following a majuscule, or just in case the user finds it fit to set the copy in a non-connecting script instead of the face's original connected flow. Centennial Script Pro, the OpenType version, combines the main font with the Alts font in a feature-packed single font. Use the ligature feature to set wordmarks like Mr, Ms, Mrs, Dr, and &Co, the stylistic alternates feature to replace some letters with their alternative forms, the contextual alternates feature for better uppercase-lowercase sequences, and the titling feature to set your text in a disconnected script. Centennial Script is the only script we currently know of that can be set connected or disconnected simultaneously, either using the titling feature in the OpenType Pro version, or manually in the other formats.

Smashed Typeface is a reversed-contrast, slab serif, display font. Was inspired by the old west days that we can often see in printing, circus posters and wanted notices in western movies, even tho the style was really used in many parts of the world during that period. This style is sometimes called as "circus letter" too. Was designed to have a modern look, using straighter lines and an extended style, can be used on various situations like posters, logos for restaurants, alternative business like an old washing station (as you can see on the next images), music bands etc. I believe that is a promising typography that can be used by various designers in a lot of diverse project. It counts with 226 multi language characters, one weight on version 1.0, on a next version I hope to take this project to another level, creating a variable typeface from condensed to really extended weights. It would complete this typography and eliminate the limits of use.

Just before the end of 2020 all schools in Holland closed for the second time, because of an increase in the number of COVID 19 cases. This means that my wife and I have to educate our three kids at home. The kids are great and take their tasks seriously, but it is difficult, as all three of them require different educational levels. I am sure you parents understand. Trying to get some work done is virtually impossible, so my wife and I made a schedule and we live by ‘on duty’ and ‘off duty’ days. I was thinking of this when I created this font (obviously on an ‘off duty’ day). Home Education is a handwritten scribble font. It was made with a Sharpie pen (possibly used by one of my kids, because I noticed tiny ink stains on my wooden dining table…). It comes with all the diacritics you can hope for and lovely double letter ligatures for you to play with.

Texicali is a multiple weight type design based on our FontMesa logo. The idea was simple: create a sans serif with a few slab serifs added resulting in a style that could feel at home just about anywhere. The regular/standard set works well for general use while the Alt set is perfect for when you want to add a little country charm. The Alt set has a few additional alternate letters built in which are easily accessed using Adobe Creative Suite products such as Illustrator and In Design. The X version, with its higher x-height lowercase, is ideal for signage where you want the look of a lowercase, however your sign still needs to be readable from the street. Larger x-heights also come in handy for web use helping to make the text more readable on smaller devices. The price of font styles are subject to change without notice.

Multi is an extensive sans serif typeface family that consists of two subfamilies: Multi Text that comprises three weights (roman & italic) and Multi Display (seven weights, roman & italic). Vitality bursts forth from Multi. It has a distinctive ‘phrasing’ (in the musical sense), neither humanist nor glyphic, somewhere in between, exploring uncharted territory. Its design is pragmatic, yet not rigid, slightly tinged with tiny incised touches. This is clearly noticeable in Multi Display: the roman lowercase’s asymmetric stems are very softly tapered, with bevelled, sharp upstrokes. Furthermore, all weights consistently share these idiosyncrasies from Thin to Poster. With its lower contrast, wider proportions, shorter ascenders and descenders, Multi Text was purposely adjusted to meet all the requirements of a legible typeface for newspapers in paper and screen, as they were manually hinted. It also has a few new features, such as the outstrokes of the roman ‘l’ and the italic ‘a’, which bring a subtle calligraphic feel to the text flow.

Finally the time has come to publish our new ‘BlackHand’ font. It is a bold and upright handwritten font featuring 150 ligatures, which make for a credible handwritten look and feel. The ligatures will appear quasi random without the user having to search for the right alternate character in a list of glyphs. As you will notice, the font does well in both headers (it even has an ‘instant logo’ quality) and in plain text. The font finds it’s origin in handwritten notes which were done without paying attention to aesthetics. The regular characters and the ligatures were handpicked to form an organic and natural, very readable result. The original writing was done with an Edding 1340 brushpen, giving the font frivolous thick/ thin strokes. We hope you enjoy using the font as much as we did creating it.
