Harajuku Script is an ‘easy-on-the-eye’ script font. I made it with a Japanese brush pen. The font is quite stylish, so I named it after Tokyo’s Harajuku area, which is known internationally as a center of Japanese youth culture and fashion. Harajuku Script would look good anywhere, but product packaging, websites and magazines could profit from this handwritten gem.

In his book Showcard Alphabets, Dan X. Solo called this little gem "Whitestone Scrawl". Central Type Foundry of St. Louis issued this quirky little gem under the name of Quaint Roman around the turn of the twentieth century. This version is a little less gnarly than the original, but retains all of its eccentric charm.

Bebedot originated from doodles and scrabbles in notebooks; irregular forms very well might contain a style for an alphabet. The name was inspired by a women clothing poster at the San Francisco bus stands. The dot is for the com that never came.

In 1938 the Frankfurt-based foundry Ludwig & Mayer released Eugen Weiss’ beautiful fraktur ‚Hoelderlin‘.
