Its easy to read in long texts, magazines, books and the like. The rounded shape makes it friendly and fluent. A short x-height is functional and adds economy without losing consistency.

Satin Blues is my easy going and very legible sans. Actually I drew this by hand and then traced each letter digitally, leaving a super steady, yet funky, comic font. I've made two versions: the Regular and Soft. The Soft version has rounded edges, which gives a smoother look. The font is very suitable for anything that needs a clear but wild comic look.

Corton was inspired by the traditional lettering on a gravestone in an English village. Extra Crunchy is my handwriting when I am eating cookies while drawing! No, it's true! I did eat a whole box of cookies while drawing this font! :) The letters are a bit jumpy, and have no steady x-height, however, your text may look a bit off, but it is clear and legible. Gothic fraktur inspired design, I wanted to resemble old german calligraphy but making it very geometric, so I used an isometric reticle during sketching. This is a display font, created for BIG sizes, non textual. I recommend it for branding, poster, logos or titles. Its very experimental -- it exists within the limits of legible and illegible reading. I choose the name “Garbancera” because gothic calligraphy has issues that are linked with dark, gloomy, lugubrious things or fear feelings, culturally in Mexico. I related this with death and for mexicans, death is something we celebrate and give us joy and happiness, annoying, the most representative Mexican characters, one of those is “La Calavera Garbancera” or better known as “La Catrina”, a clothes skeleton with only a hat. It was drawn this way to make a critic to all Mexicans at that time, that were poor but they wanted to represent a high lifestyle, “those that where to the bones, but with a French hat with ostrich feathers”. La Catrina was created by José Guadalupe Posada, a Mexican lithographer but also a newspaper illustrator. I think this is a beautiful font that can lead to great results, just use it wisely.

Ciseaux was inspired and is dedicated to the art of paper cutting. Early paper cutting artists were often royalty, but it soon became a folk art practiced by commoners whose cutouts decorated their homes. By the seventeenth century it had spread throughout the world. The Japanese called it Mon-kiri, the German's Scherenschnitte and Turkey even boasted a guild devoted to the art form. In Poland the designs were traditionally symmetrical and often used layers of colors to form pictorial collages. When Russian invaders confiscated scissors, villagers were found to cut their intricate designs with sheep shears! The art form later developed into cutting out elaborate designs of nature scenes and people, celebrating special occasions and even decorating legal documents. Ciseaux letterforms mimic paper cutting art in its shapes with a rather loose and almost joyous rhythm. The overall effect is somewhat earthy and natural yet it has an element of sophistication that cannot be ignored. Just like paper cutting, Ciseaux can be used for special occasions like invitations, brochures, identities, restaurant menus, and if you dare, some awesome looking paper graffiti. With Behrens Ornaments SIAS presents a historic revival font for the very first time. Peter Behrens (1868–1940) was a German designer and architect rooted in the style of the Art nouveau era but later became one of the most prolific exponents of the modernist movement in the 1920ies and 1930ies. The design of typographic ornaments was one of many fields of his activities. The “Behrens Schmuck” set of adornment types layed dormant for many decades, known only to letterpress freaks and specialists. After 100 years, with this release SIAS celebrates one of the creative masterminds in German design history, unearthing a treasury of 80 unique ornaments and embellishment pieces for nowaday’s use. In order to attain a faithful remake as authentic as possible, the Behrens ornaments have been photographically reproduced from a 1914 specimen book. The outlines have been edited carefully to minimize accidental visual disturbances, yet the main goal was to keep the “smell” of the original letterpress printing as good as possible.
