Hello Walter is a nice and clean typography I made for my little boy Walter. The story behind is I want to create a bold font with less holes and funny shapes. More naive but still serious with a lot of glyphs easy to use in many language cyrilic included. Perfect for web and print, for making logos or children book and app. Have lot of fun.

Zappaloosa is a wordplay, and the name came to me while listening to the radio while making this font. At a point I must have misheard something, but the name Zappaloosa popped up in my mind. The letters of Zappaloosa are playful and easy to use for serious or more loose use. I've added 3 different versions of each lowercase letter and multilingual support

The lively calligraphy font Bendigo was created by Phill Grimshaw in 1993 and looks as though it were written by an energetic hand. Generous capitals fit harmoniously with more reserved lower case letters and the right slant of both emphasizes the dynamic feeling of the font. Bendigo should be used in point sizes of 14 or larger and its strong character makes it particularly good for headlines.

Calendar Blocks JNL was inspired by old-fashioned wood type used to assemble calendar pages in the days of letterpress printing. The A-Z keystrokes contain the dates 1-26. The lower case a-z keystrokes have the remaining dates 27-31, along with the split dates 23/30 and 24/31 and blank boxes. The days of the week are located on the 1-7 keys.

I began my work on Emona while still struggling with Birka. I took the superellyptic form as the basic shape, and that gives the typeface some of its characteristics. It is strictly vertical. It is easy to classify it in the same section as Bodoni & Company. Emona is what Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, was called in the Roman days. Emona was released in 1992.

A loose, casual felt-pen script, Chantal comes in three weights plus italics, and a Cyrillic version too. Alternate versions are available in the upper and lower case keys, so settings can be customised according to taste. Chantal communicates a hand-drawn light touch with character. Originally designed to letter the RoboHunter series that Peter Hogan and Rian Hughes produced for the comic 2000AD.

Ambition & Ink is a driven hand-drawn font with lots of customization options. It includes contextual alternates, stylistic alternates for a-z and A-Z, and ligatures. It can also easily be used as a unicase font by subbing the lower case letters that have ascenders and descenders (bdfghjklpqty) for uppercase ones. The font has 546 characters, including lots of accented letters, as well as Greek & Cyrillic.

Inkster breaks all the rules. The serifs vary from letter to letter, if they have any serifs at all. The upper and lower case letters intermingle and the contrasting characters bounce all over the baseline. Loosely based on the character shapes of Frisco, I developed a tightly spaced calligraphic version and called it Inkster. Use this artistic font when youre looking for a distinctive style!

Scrawny Cat is a bit of an unusual font: it was made with a brush and some China ink and has no real baseline. It is messy yet legible and in a strange way beautiful. The font is all caps, but upper and lower case differ and can be freely interchanged. Comes with a litter of diacritics and some cool end-ligatures to boot.

This display font has an oriental character reminiscent of brush stroke calligraphy and all things Japanese. My original working title for this font was ‘Spanner’, because the lower case ‘c’, with which the design began, looked rather like the head of a spanner. I originally had in mind something more mechanical, but as it evolved and developed the font itself obviously had other ideas!

BearerFond has been in my pen for years and I've used this way of writing a lot on cassette cases. Anyone still using cassettes? Me neither, so in order to keep it alive I have made a font out of it and named it bearerFond; as in bearer bond, since it looks like it could be used on official documents. Nothing too official though.

Mehriban Outline is a revisit of Mehriban, Michael Browersí most successful text face that was originally released in 2006. Mehriban & Mehriban Outline are deconstructivist revivals inbred from Michael Browers' previous work: Formasi and Disjecta. Codex was designed by Georg Trump and introduced by the font foundry C.E. Weber in 1954. Based on the German Gothic script of the 13th century, this font has the character of handwriting. Its capital letters are extremely big in comparison with the lower case, hence good for contrast in short text, however, this characteristic makes the font better suited to languages which use fewer capital letters.

It’s not often a vintage cartoon can inspire a type design, but such is the case when the name “Daffy Duck” is hand lettered on a mailbox in the 1946 Warner Brothers cartoon “The Great Piggy Bank Robbery” (famously being a send-up of the popular Dick Tracy comic strip by Chester Gould). Retaining all the imperfections and irregularities of wood type, Wormwood Gothic is a gothic sans with all the naive and uneven character shapes typical of the period. The ‘capitals’ feature extended characters, while the ‘lower case ’ features capitals of squarer proportions. Freely mix the two in word settings or colour in red and black for a Dada collage, billposter, urban grit or antique Americana atmosphere.

A number of pieces of antique sheet music utilizing the same Roman typeface were the inspirational basis for Musical Score JNL. This antique design closely resembles pen lettering and its hand-made charm due to the rounded stroke ends and varying character widths. Informal, yet attractive - the character design evokes the feeling of the turn of the previous century and simplicity of life at that time.

When creating the font, I was inspired by the various names of musical groups and sci-fi movies.
