Vulpa is a charming serif family in regular, italic and bold, informed by the proportions of a personal favorite, Plantin. The quirky foxtail terminals (inspired in part by my script font, Gelato Script) can be seen across all three styles. These little details make the typeface very expressive at display sizes, but practically disappear at text sizes, making for a very versatile face. Across the three styles there are a number of useful OpenType features which make Vulpa capable of demanding typographic work, even though there are only three styles. Regular, italic and bold are all you really need anyway! The regular and bold weights both include small caps, and the italic features swash capitals for most letters. The italic also features quaint discretionary ligatures, and all styles include standard ligatures, automatic fractions, proportional and tabular, lining and oldstyle figures. If this isn't enough, the Vulpa family also includes Ornaments and Drop-Cap fonts. There is an ornament for A to B, a to b and 0 to 9. These have been carefully designed to match the feel of the text fonts, and many are influenced by ornaments and fleurons from the ATF 1912 Type Specimen book. The drop-caps have an engraved look, and two color versions can be made by overlaying upper and lower case. Despite the lack of weights compared to ‘workhorse’ faces, the charm and versatility of Vulpa make it a really useful typeface, that I hope you'll enjoy using as much as I enjoyed making.

ITC Minska is the work of Carl Crossgrove, who used a combination of upper and lower case shapes together to create new letter forms. Obelysk Grotesk was designed by the Lanston Drawing Office in the late 1980s. This face is a reconstruction of Spire (1937) drawn by Sol Hess. The skeleton of Spire Roman stands with the serifs removed. Like Spire, this font has no lower case, but does offer alternate cap styles in some of the lower case positions. Spire and Obelysk have both been used prominently in the fashion industry.

Sheldon family draws inspiration from the beautiful and eloquent posters of Polish graphic artist Marian Stachurski. Clumsy is a two weight all caps handcrafted awkward font with alternates for all characters and digits. The font was inspired by a few lines of text from an old soviet book about vine. Clumsy is a good choice for small amounts of text. When Clumsy is used in OpenType applications, its Contextual Alternates feature produce a striking random-like effect on glyphs distribution, achieved by cycling through alternates. When not using the Contextual Alternates feature, you can still pick the alternates in the Glyphs palette or use the alternates available from the keyboard upper and lower case.

Nietos is a geometric sans serif type family of 16 fonts. Nietos is a clean and classy font but still full of character and warmth. It has open apertures to improve the legibility at small sizes. Breitkopf Fraktur was designed by Johann Gottlob Immanuel Breitkopf (1719-1794), the well-known type designer and printer of Leipzig. Breitkopf's high reputation is based on a system of printing musical notes which was developed by him. 1793, in the final stage of his life, he designed this beautiful broken script named after himself.Breitkopf Fraktur is classified as broken", something created by the German renaissance. Broken, because all round parts of the lower case characters in such typefaces look broken.Ralph M. Unger redrew and digitized this font exclusively for profonts in 2003.
