Kanna Aoki was designing fabrics and dishware for several major manufacturers when she designed MVB Cafe Mimi. I thought, ‘This looks a bit wacky, but I like it,’ and just carried on. The most tricky characters were the ‘B’ ‘P’ and ‘R’.
