Patsy is a quirky sans-serif font inspired by the titling sequence from the 1964 film, "The Patsy", starring Jerry Lewis. Heavyweight, yet fun and full of personality, it was a lettering styles that was so much fun to flesh out and make into a typeface. I've opened up the letter spacing lightly from the original film poster design for better readability at a range of sizes. Kigara was Elena’s first attempt at designing a text typeface. The result is not exactly a conventional book face. Americana was designed by typeface artist Richard Isbell in 1965. The generous forms of this typeface contain large inner spaces. Lines of text look light and airy and require generous line spacing. These first appeared in the 19th century in France and inspired by the developments in lithography, which allowed for freer forms. The forms were typical for advertisement and display typefaces.
