It was originally inspired by my winter scarf knitting exploits. I discovered that making wool scarves was generating beautiful patterns and I wanted them to become a source of inspiration for a style. I made a few collages, and they became letters. Other characters came up with ease. It is readable, but long essays are not its main purpose. It is decorative and will look casual and very attractive on any ad as a title or a short phrase. It also demonstrates very good performance in automatic 3D generators, like Xara 3D maker, used in making examples of how this font can be utilised. It was designed to be thin, soft, with the capacity to cover empty space and to create a vibrant environment. Small characters are different from capital letters, they are stylistic alternates. Some letters are slightly ominous or dynamic, others create a soothing feeling. Using several colors make it shine, but it is complex, it looks good in monochromatic compositions as well.

Life’s always more fun when you reverse the stress. The same goes for the new member of the Cabrito family. Cabrito itself is a recently developed slab serif made for the kid’s book The Clothes Letters Wear. Cabrito proved to be more popular than I thought, and I promised I would create an inverted style for this new addition to the font world--a variant that would pair well with the original or even stand well on its own. And so now, here it is. Cabrito Inverto, which features the reversed stress of the strokes from a font’s “normal” traits. Inverted stress fonts are most often associated with cowboys and the Old West. The inverted stress gives it a happy-go-lucky appearance, not to be taken too seriously. It’s a pleasantly rounded, not-so-strictly geometric typeface with handwriting-inspired forms. Whew, that’s a mouthful! Inverto’s bundle of alternates is accessible in any OpenType-enabled program. Eyadish is an entertaining, comic, and childish font. The name of this font is originally derived from two main syllables. The first one is "Eyad-" which refers to my first name and the second syllables is "-ish" which means characteristics of or relating to. Hence, "Eyadish" refers to the characteristics that "Eyad", the typographer, himself has and had during his childhood. I do like this font for its childish and comic shapes. I have decided to design this font trying to leave a humble and personal imprint regarding the magic and innocent world of all children. Frankly, it is my most favorable designed font. This font comes in two different weights with facilities for writing and publishing in different alphabets included in various Latin and Cyrillic texts and scripts. "Eyadish" is primarily designed to be fit with all prints of kids, children, and juveniles' products. It is major usage is in advertisements and publications. It is suitable for T-shirts, books' covers of children such as fairy tales and comic stories, advertisement light boards in malls, and titles in parental, childish, comic, and other related magazines. LECO 1983 is a headline display OpenType typeface with its three styles: LECO 1983: regular LECO 1983 Blind: without interiors of signs LECO 1983 Negative: in its inverse form. The inspiration for creating this font came from the label on a 1983 bottle of Lečo. The characteristic feature of this font is an embedded diacritic. The monolinear character of drawings is dominant. This font is drawn as capital letter type for both: upper case and lower case letters. It contains alternatives of some signs (e, f, g, m, n, y) and (& and a glyph No) but it consists several interesting alternatives (ligatures) of pairs as (in, on, of, by) as well. This font is best used on strong posters or as a headline display typeface.

Cinematica was specially designed for film credits in communication pieces. Due to its space saving qualities, geometric elegance of its shapes, and eight wights; it allows a wide range of uses. Its geometry makes Cinematica able to harmonize and unify any text, incorporating the necessary signs for composition in English, Spanish, Italian, French, German and Portuguese. Linotype Bix Plain, from Argentinian designer Victor Luis Garcia, is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the entries of the 1999 International Digital Type Design Contest for inclusion on the Take Type 3 CD. The font is composed exclusively of capital letters. The figures have constructed basic forms and show the influence of the advertisement types of the 1920s, with all their well-mannered details. The lower sections of the graceful letters are white and set against a black background, the upper sections are black on white. This makes the overall picture look as though written on stripes and gives the delicate letter stability. The nostalgic-modern Linotype Bix Pleain is best for headlines in point sizes of 18 or larger.

Astrum is a very decorative script font using elegant caligraphic handwritten letters that are all mutually interconnected, creating a unique look & feel of a personalized human handwritting. Its clean and prefined lines makes Astrum very appealing and modern, although being very classical in its core essence. The idea for the creation of this font had originally came up from the need to create a beautiful design for Weddings, wedding occasions, etc., but none of the existing fonts were satisfactory - so I decided to create a new and unique typeface to fill this need. Letters and other characters are recognizeable by prefined ornaments, incorporated in a very subtle way. Whitespace between capital letters, lower-case letters, numbers and other characters are done in a way to minimize the need for kerning. The font Astrum, besides being a celebration of class and exclusivity, is a very luxurious and elegant handwritten font perfectly suited for Wedding cards. The character set for this font contains all western, central-european latin and cyrillic characters.

Mr. Jenkins is designed to fill the void between the crazy, wacky and reckless comic style fonts, and the standard boring but very readable sans-serif typefaces. It makes for a distinctive bold headline, but is also quite legible at small sizes. It’s just off kilter enough to not take itself too seriously. A deceptively care-free font, each character was carefully drawn. The spacing and kerning of each letter and letter combination were painstakingly considered. Particular attention was paid to maintaining consistent optical weights and a spontaneous appearance. Mr. Jenkins is inspired heavily by humanist sans-serif faces such as Myriad and Lucida Sans, with its open apertures, and low contrast but almost calligraphic line weights. The lowercase a is single story in the italic face, but two story in the regular face. It contains uncommon features amongst many “quirky” fonts, including a full set of latin accented characters, lining and proportional figures, math symbols, standard fractions, foreign currency marks, contextual alternates, and even a few ligatures.

Glyphic Neue was inspired by the Op Art style of lettering in the United States that ran rampant in many photo type houses in the 1960's and 1970's. The Glyphic Series from the Franklin Photolettering group was an influence and spring board for this family of fonts, hence it's name. But Glyphic Neue departs from its unicase Franklin influence in several ways. Firstly the designer created both upper and lower case forms. The lowercase has been designed with barley protruding ascenders and descenders and with an x-height equivalent to the cap height, so that upper and lower can be exchanged indiscriminately for a quirky effect. Some of the letters take a cue from the original Glyphic series but many have been redesigned entirely to fit the designers vision. The italic forms differ enough from the upright version making it almost an entirely different display alphabet. Glyphic Neue is a versatile family of 6 fonts -- 3 widths, each with an accompanying italic that look equally at home when used on a party flier or a sports team visual identity.

Typography had been one of Andy AW. Masry's hobbies before he turned professional in 2008 and formed his own agency in Jakarta in Indonesia.
