Kanna Aoki had fairy tales in mind when she designed MVB Greymantle. She drew dots with a felt pen to build up the forms, giving them their particular rough character. The “Extras” font contains a set of whimsical illustrations, including a portrait of Greymantle—her 18-pound cat, a set of curly initial caps, and border parts.  MVB Greymantle has been spotted on numerous children's books, in magazines, in salad dressing advertisements, and on food packaging.

This typeface was designed specifically for producing movie posters, as well as VHS and DVD packaging for them. The uppercase letters are ultracondensed, and the lowercase letters are small caps, approximately a third the size of the uppercase. Patterned after cheap neon signage, this face has class, all of it low. Uppercase only, the lowercase positions are filled with an assortment of cheesy neon graphics, intended to be used at twice the point size of the caps. Named after a 70s TV show about a hotel with a defective neon sign. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

The relation of vertical and horizontal lines reduces with weight – this makes regular weight appropriate for longer texts and black ideal weight for headings. Banbury is a Neo Classical display font available in two versions. Broad line weights paired with hairline serifs create a striking contrast for an elegant look. Kilo is not only almost exactly equal to the mass of one liter of water. It also flows like one. Espuma Pro is a soft and friendly humanist sans-serif font family with strong calligraphic aftertaste. Presented in 7 weights, with true italics each, it features the traditionally rich language support, small caps, 6 sets of figures and a bunch of ligatures. Brak is the dutch word for ‘brackish’, the mix of fresh and salten sea water found in river deltas and estuaries. Brak is also VetteLetters’ straightforward display font with straight lines and rounded ends, and comes in two weights. It does really well in sea food dishes like fish, lobster, mussels and shrimps. Brak doesn't beat around the bush, it is an all-caps typeface with alternative capital letterforms assigned to the lowercase positions, for a variety of combinations.

Xalapa is a wavy and rugged script. The font comes packed with OpenType alternates and ligatures. This clean looking (all caps) font has characters made of gaps, which form the stencil divisions, spaced evenly along the strokes. The letterforms have a well-proportioned constructional appearance. The characters look like they have been built from interlocking bricks, the stencil gaps give them both rhythm and texture. The sans serif typeface also has a sense of movement because of the way the stencil gaps follow the horizontal, vertical or curved direction of the stroke.

Red Thinker is a sans serif typeface that includes Small Caps, is of square proportion and fuses soft curves in the outer vertices with straight lines inside the characters, a semi-stencil design that gives it a technological aspect and future fiction. Red Thinker is the heir by right of the geometrical fonts of the early twentieth century inspired by the Bauhaus school and is specially designed for use in any size for both screen and printing.

In the German city of Bad Neuenahr you can visit a spa called Thermal Badehaus. This beautiful art deco building has an even more beautiful art deco lettering covering its facade. I had to work with only a couple of glyphs ('Thermal Badehaus' to be exact) and tried to capture their beauty in the remaining glyphs. The result is a font called Badehaus (Bath House in German). It is a bold, all caps typeface, with some unique glyphs.

Lazar takes its inspiration from the designs of early Russian designers like El Lissitzky. Designed initially as a custom font for a trainers collecting website it was expanded into a full family including a stencil, rounded and distressed styles. Lazar has a fresh and vibrant feel and is very flexible with its alternates lowercase characters, small caps and discretionary ligatures. It works well on posters, flyers and magazine. Mix all four styles to achieve unique typographic designs.

This font was inspired by one of Antoine Augereau's three roman typefaces: the Gros Romain (±16 Pts) size, used in 1533 to print Le miroir de l'âme..., a religious poetic compilation by Marguerite de Navarre, sister of the French king François the first. It seems possible that Augereau may have also engraved italic styles. This alphabet, with its complete small caps collection, is covering all West, East and Central European languages (including Baltic and Celtic) and Turkish.

Batchelder Ruff is a "battered" version of the typeface used for titling in the catalogs and advertising of the Batchelder Tile Company in Pasadena, California in the 1920s. The original source characters were smoother, but they were also handlettered, so that every character was different. This digitized version contains uniform characters, but its "rough" quality preserves the hand-drawn look. It is designed primarily as a headline font, and thus is best used in All-Caps in larger sizes.

Thursday Afternoon is like a typewriter that was out in the rain all night - all wobbly and worn, but with the well-known details of a typewriter, just a bit...well a lot...out of the ordinary! Although being awkward, Thursday Afternoon is surprisingly legible. I'd like that the font should be used for labels, toys for kids, candy or any kind of organic product. It even looks really well with headlines or shoutouts in all-caps!

Turer is a display font with a strong artistic personality. It is inspired by some works of Rudolph Koch (1876 - 1934) such as Wallau, Original Neuland or Koch Antiqua. It is characterised by its vertical strokes that thicken towards the ends, which hints at a serif without actually having it. Turer is composed of capitals; the lower case being small caps. It also has a great set of ligatures. Presented in two weight: Regular and Bold.

Kernel is a square geometric type family in six weights with matching obliques and small caps. The design mixes slightly rounded terminals and shoulders with square counterforms, giving the shapes a strong masculine and futuristic look, great for applications like innovation, technology, sports and of course, sci-fi ! The fonts, delivered in Opentype format, include diacritics for most European languages and come with a variety of Opentype features : two stylistic sets, tabular figures, case-sensitive forms, fractions and more.

MuskitoCaps is a Tuscan (split-serif) font that is rather narrow and a bit awkward. It is caps only, though the lower case differs from the upper case(the lower case lacks the mid-stem spike). The family has three styles, plain, shadowed, and shadowinside. The last has the same shapes as the plain style but has the spacing of the shadowed style so it can be layered with the shadowed style to easily produce bi-colored lettering.

Rubas is an all-caps display typeface with octagonal design. Rubas consists of a solid basic font (Athletics) and its eleven inline variants. With its bold and confident appearance, it's perfect for sports logos, branding, posters, apparel design. Rubas supports many Latin-based languages including: Afrikaans, Basque, Breton, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Gaelic, German, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Sami, Spanish, Swahili and Swedish. Komorebi consists of handmade letters made with just a Stabilo pen. It is perfect for large scale texts and headlines. This font is suitable for posters, flyers, business cards or just a beautiful visual with a signature word. The family consists of three styles with both lower and upper case letters, accent characters and special characters. Though I personally recommend using all caps to give your words that bold touch, lower case works just as well!

Gunter is a bold modern quirky half serif half sans serif display font that is in a category all on its own. it has a super-strong grounded horizontal present with playful cuts and loops inspired by 60's and 70's design. It was designed with Social Media in mind as it is sure to stand out. It comes with an alternate style set with more traditional caps if you don't want to get too crazy.

In Hammered all the letters are made up of hammers and an occasional nail. It is caps only, but the characters on the lower-case keys differ from those on the upper-case keys. It has a large set of accented characters. It is not often that one needs a typeface made of hammers and nails, but if one does, there is a font for that. Isbellium is a sans serif version of Dick Isbell’s Americana type, designed in 1967 and the last type cut in metal by the American Type Founders Co. (ATF). Isbellium retains the large x-height, open character, wide stance and elegance of Americana, but with a quieter voice and polite authority. Isbellium is a display face with broad Latin support along with small caps, fraction support and other typographic niceties are included in the ten font family.

Salacious is my soft/rough all-caps font, inspired by both comics and grafitti. The weight and width of the letters varies a bit. Not in a disturbing way, but more in a lively and organic way. I've added 5 (slightly) different versions of each letter (which automatically cycles as you type!) The letter shapes are a bit rough, due to the fact that they are handmade, and all corners are rounded, which gives a nice soft look!

Lakeland JNL was inspired by lettering seen on a vintage container of Yankee brand motor oil. Originally all-caps on the package, the remaining characters were developed to expand on this casual semi-script design which was popular during the 1940s.
