A ‘Brochette’ in French is a skewer. I used to be a tour guide and some years ago, I guided a couple of tours in Mali. Every night at dinner we had the choice of a ‘Brochette de Capitaine’ (grilled Nile perch on a skewer) or a ‘Brochette de Bœuf’ (grilled beef on a skewer). Of course, every night the Brochette came with French fries and ‘petits pois’ (peas). It was really nice, but after 4 months of eating Brochettes, I longed for something different! Brochette is a very nice rounded font. It comes with curls, swirls and swashes.

Scirocco is a hot and humid wind that blows from the Sahara over to France and Italy. It crosses the mediterranean sea and carries lots of fine desert dust with it. Once it hits the coast of Provençe one can feel it grinding ones teeth and see it as fine dust covering every car. It makes people go nuts! Elongated Roman is a Didone-style serif typeface. It was originally designed in 1950 by typographers at Stephenson Blake. After International TypeFounders, Inc. acquired exclusive licensing rights to the Stephenson Blake Collection, Steve Jackaman (ITF) digitally revived the typeface in 1997 for the Red Rooster Collection. Much like other Didone typefaces, Elongated Roman’s strong contrast between thick and thin strokes and hairline serif design strengthen its elegance as a “modern face.” Unlike other Didone typefaces in the Red Rooster Collection, Elongated Roman was designed with display size in mind thanks to its strong variance in stroke weight.

The name Norden means “the Nordic”, as in the geographical area or its countries. Inspired by the simplicity of Nordic and Scandinavian design, the Norden fonts give you clarity of expression, beyond the usual geometric look and feel of traditional sans-serifs. The earliest form of Ionic was brought out by Vincent Figgins in 1821 and was intended for display work. In 1863 a more refined version appeared which had more contrast between thick and thin strokes and the serifs were bracketed. Further developments were made, however the robustness of the Egyptian style was retained making the face suitable for newspaper text setting. With a large x-height and strong hairlines and serifs, the Ionic font family became widely used by the newspaper industry as a body type and provided a model for many twentieth century newspaper typefaces.

My aim was to create a very elegant and “sexy” typeface with some unique letterforms based on the principle of contrast - curves vs. strong straight lines - thin hairlines vs. thick stems - ball terminals vs. geometric serifs. These contrasts make it a glamourous display font for titles and large typography settings, yet readable at text sizes. Voga was inspired by iconic typefaces such as Bodoni and Didot. We think Gentleman name suits perfectly to this family because of its beautiful outlines and elegant letterforms yet looking tight, compact and with own presence. Carefree makes it so simple to elevate a logo or headline text, whether you're wanting something bold or delicate. Introducing the Carefree Serif family – a gorgeous condensed serif typeface that includes 16 fonts, regular and italic, from Hairline weight to Bold. This typeface looks best in larger settings as a display text (think big headers, pretty quotes, calls to action, etc.), but can also be really stunning for longer text like quotes. I would probably avoid using this as a body text because of the high contrast. I've also been loving combining the regular and italic and mixing up the weights, especially for beautiful logos.

This font, was created -- inspired from the original manuscript of the French revolutionary song “La Marseillaise”, becoming later the French national anthem, composed in one night (1792 April 25th) by the 32 year old French captain, Rouget de Lisle. It is a “Pro” font containing Western (including Celtic) and Northern European, Icelandic, Baltic, Eastern, Central European and Turkish diacritics. The numerous alternates and ligatures make the font look as close as possible to the real historic hand. Quat is a sans serif type family designed by Ani Dimitrova. The family comes in 22 weights, ranging from Hairline to Black with extra drawn italics and small caps versions, and each style contains more than 700 glyphs. The Regular and Medium weights are perfect for body text while the extra drawn Italic gives an interesting texture to the text. The lightest weights work well in subtle headlines while the heaviest ones are perfect for posters, short texts, web, branding and screen design.
