A throwback design reminiscent of 1950s signage and print ads, Merrymakers JNL takes a previous release (Bluesman JNL) and places the letters and numbers inside parallelograms with ‘TV screen’ openings. CA Capoli is a fine script typeface with a vintage touch. Perfect for illustrative titles or logotypes. It comes in two styles, Regular and Stroke. The inspiration came during our trip to Italy, where we took a short rest in a bar during a hot day. We discovered a simple ceramic ashtray on the table. The word “Nido” was inscribed in a typeface that looked like it dated back to the 1950s. We made some investigations about the word, its meaning and origin but it still remains a big mystery. Was it the name of a hotel or a restaurant or some vintage Italian cigarettes? We don’t know. We were so amazed about the design of the logo that we decided to create a typeface out of it. A sophisticated endeavor because we just had four letters. How could the rest of the letters – if it ever existed – have looked like? Our hypothesis is CA Capoli. A typeface with a full Central European character set and some nice alternative letters to chose from. When we thought about “Nido” and its possible derivation of hotel business, we felt like creating a small side project for this typeface, a brand for a fictional hotel called Hotel Capoli with business cards, letterheads, a reception book, key fobs and embroidered patches for the service dress of the hotel service stuff. The Hotel Capoli is located at the wonderful beach of Cape Arcona on the fictional country of Arcona Islands where our type foundry is located.

Ovaltown is a geometric font family with three weights in which the letters are derived from ovals or ellipses. It does to have true lower-case letters but many of the characters in the lower-case slots differ from the corresponding characters in the upper-case slots. Ovaltown is strange, unusual, and bizarre and can be useful when one wants strange, unusual, and bizarre lettering.

ITC Drycut is the work of Vancouver-based designer Serge Pichii and gives a twist to the tradition of heavy, woodcut-like typefaces. The font includes all the realistic features of a true woodcut, sharp edges, white cut marks and black slivers. The slivers around the edges suggest traces left after awkward movements of a knife, which are often visible on old woodcuts...Folk artists often didn't care much about refining their carvings and the slivers would have been left as long as the letters remained readable." The lower case alphabet is actually small caps proportioned to match the capitals. The letters of ITC Drycut have a slight slant to the right which lends the font a dynamic character."

Founder is a neutral sans-serif font family consisting of 6 weight categories. The font was created for use on his own website, but eventually the account went on public sale. The original purpose of the font was not intended to be a multi-tool. However, now everything necessary has been added to it so that it can be safely used in projects. Founder supports more than 50 Latin-based languages, as well as Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian Cyrillic. Gothic sans aesthetics give Founder a natural and relaxed feel that business fonts lack today. A lot of time and effort has been put into the process of creating the Brillian Font. A careful analysis of the current font market and overly increasing customer needs have shaped Brillian’s final appearance and content. We don't have a precise target audience for Brillian, since the amazing amount and structure of the chosen characters enables a very wide utilization. The inspiration for this typeface family came from my childhood experiences at West Monkton, amidst an historic part of the South West of England. Studies of the original incised capitals of the Trajan column in Rome were analysed and polished for this modern version. The lower case letterforms and numerals were then created in sympathy, taking their proportions from the incised letters of local gravestones. Its name honours not only the area where the original alphabet was conceived and drawn, but also the people responsible for fostering my initial interest in letters. These stylized incised typefaces give a depth to the letterforms that can be exploited in your typography - evoking the carved monumental inscriptions of the Roman era.

Fonts without curved lines were quite popular in Victorian times. We drew this one back in the days of T-squares and triangles, and based it on a type that we felt could stand to be improved. (Arrogant, eh?)

Seasons Greetings is intended to bring Christmas cheer. It has a very limited character set, with all the letters being lower-case. One set of letters is white on black Christmas balls, while the other is black on white Christmas balls. The lower-case letters can be layered on top of the upper-case letters to give bi-colored lettering. The letters on the Christmas ornaments are from the typeface Cuthbert.

This typeface is based on Albrecht Dürer’s work “Die Underweysung der Messung” (Institutiones Geometricae, Instruction in Measurement). Please note that this font needs special treatment when typesetting text. If you need black text, you need to type just capital letters separated by spaces. If you need coloured text, type both lower case and upper case (with the lower case character first), and then assign a colour to the lowercase letters only.
