The Cedi Typeface is a single weight display font that is based on the fluid handwritten style of a work colleague. This design is a fast flowing script that is both lively and original yet equally legible due to it's defined letterforms and open forms. Despite working well in a regular format, during the design process I started to look at ligatures as a solution for solving some problematic combinations. However, this small implementation soon got vastly expanded as I started to focus on the rythm of the letterforms and how best to convey the hand drawn feature in the design. A common problem in most script fonts is the repeating letterforms that would be particularily un-natural for this manual typeface, therefore hinting at it's digital source. The ligature concept soon evolved into over 2400 ligatures, trying to cover all repeating glyphs as well as finding more harmious combiations. This design was created for use in short text settings and use at large point sizes suiting titles, screen use or logo designs.

Lust Didone’s character set was expanded as well during the redraw and update, the Italics were separated and reimagined anew from the universal italics in the original offering. Lust Didone also includes the new Fine optical size with complementing Italics for each size as well. And, yes, more swashes. The Lust Collection is the culmination of 5 years of exploration and development, and I am very excited to share it with everyone. When the original Lust was first conceived in 2010 and released a year and half later, I had planned for a Script and a Sans to accompany it. The Script was released about a year later, but I paused the Sans. The primary reason was the amount of feedback and requests I was receiving for alternate versions, expansions, and ‘hey, have you considered making?’ and so on. I listen to my customers and what they are needing… and besides, I was stalling with the Sans. Like Optima and other earlier high-contrast sans, they are difficult to deliver responsibly without suffering from ill-conceived excess or timidity. The new Lust Collection aggregates all of that past customer feedback and distills it into 6 separate families, each adhering to the original Lust precept of exercises in indulgence and each based in large part on the original 2010 exemplars produced for Lust. I just hate that it took so long to deliver, but better right, than rushed, I imagine.

Ana is a chromatic typeface consisting of 26 uppercase Latin characters, inspired by arabesque patterns from the nineteenth century. Programmed to enable users to easily create multicolored drop caps and initials, this decorative display typeface features a different ornament for every letterform, which fits perfectly with its glyph shape. This ornament is usually more luxurious on the left side of the letter, while on the right it is scarce, so that the body text can be placed close to the initial. These initials are valuable for use in large sizes, like posters, magazines, packaging design, fairy tales, and so on. The final forms of the initials consist of 5 parts which can be individually colored. There are 5 font files named Ana Layer A, Ana Layer B, and so on. A font user can manually create a multicolored initial with these font files, if there is no possibility to use the Contextual Alternates option. To do that, it is necessary to make 5 layers in the page layout software. Then, the corresponding character should be placed on each layer, so that Ana Layer A is on the lowest layer and Ana Layer E is on the highest one. Note that the glyph shapes are contained in the lower case positions. In contrast, the font file named Ana is programmed, so it is possible to create a multicolored initial with the Contextual Alternates command. There is no need for additional layers, everything happens on a single layer. First, the Contextual Alternates command (usually under OpenType menu) should be disabled. Then, using lower case key, type the desired character 5 times and apply color to them. Select them all and turn on the Contextual Alternates. Also, the font file Ana comes with a set of ‘black’ initials that can be used just like any other non-color typeface. The ornamental versions are contained in the uppercase positions, while the letters without the ornaments are in the lower case. With the font file Ana Monochrome one can only get the monochrome initials. Ornamental letters are contained in the upper case positions, while the letterforms without the ornaments are in the lower case.

Valute is a custom font with variable typeface, but at first glance it looks very mischievous. Very thincontrasting lines are very legible with heavy use of paragraph text. We made Valute with 9 weights that include ligatures and are multilingual. We will make language and feature updates in the future as this is a long-term project that we will be building on.

Eliptik is a typeface with disruptive shapes, inspired by the aesthetics of technology from the 80s and 90s, when they had a very particular style of seeing the future. A sanserif with human touch in 6 fonts Angie Sans is a low contrast incised sans serif sharing some similarities with Optima by Hermann Zapf and Pascal by José Mendoza, both created at the end of the 50’s. The later, feature an italic not published by the initial foundry who launched Pascal. Angie Sans follow same path with its italic based on Chancery forms from the Renaissance, narrower than the roman shapes. With its capitals based on Roman proportions, lowercases featuring open counters, strong horizontals, Angie Sans is a legible typeface. The manual gesture is present in Angie Sans, which offer the plastic qualities such as warmth, craftmanship and humanity. Angie Sans is an Incised Garalde who works well for display as text settings. Supertuba is a :) geometric sans vernacular humanist :) display type family with 6 weights. There's literally dozens of ligatures in this font so It works very well for flyers, package, stickers and posters, also you can use it as a text font if you're looking for something slightly bold. Supertuba has multilingual support and useful open type features. Letter boards that used to be seen in churches, dive bars and butcher shops are the main inspiration for this typeface. The name Supertuba came from an old supermarket that no longer exists in the city of Indaiatuba , I just believe this name is super fun (at least in Portuguese) and wanted to keep it alive. I was in Indaiatuba when I get started designing this typeface so this is fair enough. Supertuba the third piece of a particular trilogy of fonts that Stubby and Stubby Rough take part, from the lazy vernacular drawing to an unusual geometry. Enjoy!

Afrik is a hand painted font which letterforms were inspired by Proto-Saharan Ancient African writing system and scripts for African languages such as Mande and Vai. Drawing technique I took from Ethiopian Tribe Karo body painting. I drew each letter with my finger using self-made paint from crushed charcoal. Afrik is uppercase font and instead of tall capital letters uses wide. They can be used instead of double letters or just to diversify a typing. Also, I included up to 4 alternate "decorations" for most of the letters which will help you to create unique artwork (use "Contextual Alternates" feature to randomize look automatically). When I first approached this design back in 2003 I wrote myself a design brief that called for a simple sans serif "avec serifs" (with serifs). Its emphasis needed to be on text usage but to be at home in display sizes. A range of weights with a controlled step from one weight to the next, uniform character sets, spacing and kerning throughout the range. Attention to openness of counter spaces would be paramount to work in text sizes. Matching italics should be true italics not merely slanted - with a cursive feel. During extensive testing I decided to include a suite of ligatures to eliminate the hairline gaps that occur between slab serifs at display sizes. The user may activate "Discretionary Ligatures" or "Stylistic Set 1" for ligatures that are not included in the Standard Ligatures (ff, fi, fl, ffi and ffl). Sneakers was a typeface that I originally drew all the way back in 2005, with a release in 2006. Its most recent iteration, Sneakers Pro was released in 2009. Since then, the idea of reworking the design has lingered in the back of my head, but I wanted to add additional flexibility and value to anything offered beyond the originals. Sneakers Max does just that and I am happy to see it released and available to everyone. Sneakers Max raises the bar in terms of functionality… incorporating all of the options found in Sneakers Pro (e.g. Small Caps and a biform/unicase located now in Titling Alternates), but it expands the character offering, improves on letter designs (everything was redrawn) and explores more flexible settings by providing 5 distinct counter widths to keep more uniform multi-line settings with mixed letter heights. Shopping Script is designed after and inspired by my handwritten shopping list that was originally a lot less stylish, I have written each words multiple times to achieve the organic and natural flow with a bit spaced out style. This font is an existing work of mine that came in only one weight. Now I added multiple weights I as well as expanded and condensed instances, along with a weight and width variable font file that can be set to anything in between Thin Condensed to Heavy expanded. There are standard ligatures for it, jt, ll and tt, stylistic alternates for uppercase "A" and lowercase "e". For lowercase r and s there are contextual/initial variants when they are first letter of a word. Quayside is a deliciously thick and bulbous baseball script, with a wealth of OpenType features. Features include: Contextual alternates - I would suggest having these on by default; they make letters connect more smoothly (uppercase letters like M and H, which are normally non-connecting for all-caps purposes, connect to lowercase letters. The swash variant of J, and all o and b characters connect to any e character at a lower junction for a smoother join). Contextual alternates also make sure special end-forms of lowercase letters are used at the ends of words. Ligatures - A nice collection of useful ligatures which make the text flow smoother. Swash - Gives you more exuberant capitals. Not recommended for all-caps usage! The swash function also gives a variation of the ampersand and turns # into a nice numero symbol. Oldstyle Figures - lining figures are default but with the flick of a switch in OpenType savvy applications, you get expressive oldstyle figures. Quayside is a versatile typeface. Depending on the mood you're after, it can easily be retro or modern, fun or (fairly) serious. I'm often pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of uses my fonts get put to, and I can't wait to see what you do with this one!

While searching through microfilm of an old, 1932 newspaper, I stumbled on the word "Poultry" written with trapezoidal letters. I did not recall seeing lettering like this and it inspired me to design a typeface that could produce a similar result. Poultry Sign has two widths each with three weights giving the family six styles. It is monoline, monospaced, and all caps. The letters on the lower-case keys reverse the trapezoid of those on the upper-case keys. The designer's expectation is that the most common use for this typeface will alternate upper-case and lower-case keys, and to make this effect easy, included in the font is a contextual alternatives (calt) OpenType feature that automatically produces this result if your word processor supports this feature. To get text with all letters with big bottoms or all letters with with big tops, this feature must be turned off. The spacing of the letters is identical within each width so the styles can be layered to produce bi-colored or tri-colored letters. There is a second set of numbers that can be accessed with an OpenType stylistic alternative. Also accessible with OpenType stylistic alternatives are variations of letters T, N, L, Y, and V.
