Opake™ is an experimental typeface design that steps away from regular design conventions. Instead of basing the design on a calligraphic tool or geometric shapes, Opake™ is the result of the exercise of creating letters with a single continuous loop line. This unseen technique makes the overall design very unique. Though unconventional, the design resonates with some familiarity because of its calligraphic stroke terminations and some shape decisions that might resemble Cooper Black. In the end Opake™ is a cutting edge non-connecting script font, with a warm and happy feeling. Ideal for large headlines and general display use, but also branding, posters and apparel. Yet again, a font inspired by my work as a kindergarten teacher! The other day, I had a conversation with some of the kids, about what they ate for breakfast. Some had oatmeal, some bread and others yogurt. But this kid - he insisted that every morning, his mother would serve him cookies, “morning cookies”. It sounded too good to be true, and when I asked his mother, it turned out that “cookies” were actually bread, but to make it sound more appetising, they called it cookies! The letters are rounded and in some way quite naive, but still clear and legible. With an extreme ascender and descender, the font stands out with its oddities. I’ve added 3 different versions of each lowercase letter!

Albion's Americana is a fun display family and a tribute to our transatlantic friends. The stars and stripes motif is applied to an American inspired all capitals Roman display face, producing something that is bold and boisterous and well...American. The regular face is intended for conventional use, while the 'Black', 'Red', 'White' and 'Blue' faces are designed to facilitate patriotic multi-coloured lettering (of course, you can use other colours as well). It's worth trying out different combinations here- Black and White alone work well, as does read, white and blue minus black. The Kensington Runestone is a rune-covered slab of brownstone that was claimed to have been discovered in central Minnesota in the United States in 1898. Olof Öhman, a Swedish immigrant, reported that he dug it out of a field in the largely rural town of Solem in Douglas County. It was then named after the nearest settlement, Kensington. The inscription claims to be a record left behind by Scandinavian explorers in the 14th century (internally dated to 1362). There has been a long-standing debate as to the stone's authenticity, but since the first scientific review in 1910, scientific consensus has classified it as a 19th-century hoax, and some critics have directly accused Öhman of fabricating it. there is community.

Farmer's Marker is an ode to the hobby-farmer and their honest and hardworking (but not too serious) lifestyle. The font reflects a vision of a farmer who quickly scrawls down her produce (72 Eggs + 20L of Milk + 2kg Honey) before she heads off to the market to do her best to sell what she has farmed. It is a casual, freehand, marker script that doesn't take itself too seriously. It is hand drawn by me, then meticulously perfected in Illustrator while leaving in just enough small imperfections that the font retains it's humanistic, hand-drawn and personal feel. This font is based on the popular and timeless Caslon design and was carefully digitized from the pages of an early 19th century book. I was excited to see some unique design treatments of characters such as the lower case italic 'p', the question mark, and various swash caps that I had never seen before. During the conversion process, I made sure to preserve the worn look of faded ink on old paper by maintaining a subtle level of decay and opacity with each character. For missing characters not found in the book, I created new characters that were faithful to the style of the rest of the family. Fontology-E is an experimental font designed by Fabrizio Schiavi. It was created for the cover of the Fontology catalogue. Schiavi's need was to build an optical false modulation effect with versions of the logotype and typical rectangles of an empty font chart. The basic idea was to create a page that contained many rectangles in order to demonstrate the modulation. At the same time, it was important to understand that Schiavi inserted 8 versions of the same logotype each time the corresponding letter is digitized in e, a, d, f, g, h, c and b. The inside of the catalogue has the same layout and text, which is revealed by fanning the pages. Schiavi confess that Fontology-E is a highly experimental typefont.

IronType (formerly known as Ironman) is an extra bold geometric titling face in the Art Deco poster tradition. A warm sense of strength and playfulness runs throughout this design. Triangular-shaped crossbars are some of its distinguishing characteristics. The face also contains some very amusing alternates. The tails of the alternate cap K and R extend below the line and the alternate cap N has a hump instead of a diagonal stroke. A handy set of lowercase letters with lining and smaller figures are also included. IronType Extra Bold is now available in the OpenType Std format. Some new characters have been added to this OpenType version. These advanced features work in current versions of Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. The design of Kristall Grotesk is based on a cut by Wagner & Schmidt, Leipzig, from the 30s of the last century. The basis for the digital version of the Stiftung Werkstattmuseum für Druckkunst , Leipzig was the standard font (28p) of the manual cuts as offered by the font foundry Johannes Wagner, Ingolstadt. The implementation was deliberately created as a replica to create a faithful reproduction as a starting point for the design of other design sizes. The present Kristall Grotesk is therefore a headline design. The appearance of the typeface can be varied by a number of alternative forms of capitals, which, according to the taste of the time, contain either pointed or flat formations. In nautical folklore, the Flying Dutchman is a ship that can never go home and is doomed to sail the seas forever as a ghost ship. The story of the Dutchman appeared in print in the 1820s. With different versions written over the years, some date the legend to the 1640s or the early 1700s. The Flying Dutchman font is a revival of an 1876 font from MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan Co. The Truetype and OpenType formats include a larger extended character set with Central and Eastern European accented letters. Extra characters in this font are left and right pointing hands in place of the less than and greater than keys and a pirate flag is on the bracket keys. New to this style is the distressed version where the letters look like they've been hacked by a cutlass.
