The Yasmine Mutlaq type family follows the guidelines of the Mutamathil Mutlaq type style. It has one glyph per basic Arabic Unicode character or letter. Each glyph is completely symmetrical around its vertical axis to facilitate bi-directional ordering. This family does not include any required ligatures and does not use glyph substitutions or forming but it does use marks positioning. Text strings composed using types of this family are non-cursive with stand-alone isolated glyphs. Yasmine Mutlaq employs four x-height values, two above and two below the x-axis. Its design uses curves with equally distributed weight. This family includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals, all required diacritic marks, in addition to all standard English keyboard punctuations and major currency symbols. The Cedi Typeface is a single weight display font that is based on the fluid handwritten style of a work colleague. This design is a fast flowing script that is both lively and original yet equally legible due to it's defined letterforms and open forms. Despite working well in a regular format, during the design process I started to look at ligatures as a solution for solving some problematic combinations. However, this small implementation soon got vastly expanded as I started to focus on the rythm of the letterforms and how best to convey the hand drawn feature in the design. A common problem in most script fonts is the repeating letterforms that would be particularily un-natural for this manual typeface, therefore hinting at it's digital source. The ligature concept soon evolved into over 2400 ligatures, trying to cover all repeating glyphs as well as finding more harmious combiations. This design was created for use in short text settings and use at large point sizes suiting titles, screen use or logo designs.

It includes two weights: regular and light, each of which has normal and left-slanted Italic versions. The script design of this font family follows the Arabetics Mutamathil Taqlidi style utilizing varying x-heights. The Mutamathil Taqlidi type style uses one glyph per every basic Arabic Unicode character or letter, as defined by the Unicode Standards, and one additional final form glyph, for each freely-connecting letter of the Arabic cursive text. Raqmi includes the required Lam-Alif ligatures in addition to all vowel diacritic ligatures. Soft-vowel diacritic marks (harakat) are selectively positioned with most of them appearing on similar high and low levels—top left corner—, to clearly distinguish them from the letters. Tatweel is a zero-width glyph.

In the early 1980s, at the start of my career, I had the opportunity to work in a print shop with classic lead setting. In those days I would study issues of U&lc magazine from ITC. What really caught my attention were scripts in the Spencerian style. I’ve been fascinated by this American penmanship tradition ever since. A few years ago I developed a font. Boris Bencic used it when he was redesigning L’Officiel magazine in Paris. I took these initial forms and developed them into the font Mommie when I started my own foundry. Although I usually design text typefaces, working on Mommie taught me how complex it can be to create a script headline font. The biggest challenge in this process has been to keep it alive and fresh. The Regular weight is only made for very big headlines. The thin lines with the bold drops are very elegant. For smaller sizes use the Medium and Small weight. It won the TDC 2008 award and was Judges Choice of Christian Schwartz.

Song style typefaces originated in the age of woodblock printing in Song Dynasty. Being an essential Chinese type style for printing and publishing all since Ming Dynasty. Based on the Kaishu calligraphic script, its structure has evolved, regularised and standardised with thick stems (豎), thin horizontal strokes (橫) and triangular finials. Dots (點), hooks (勾) and downstrokes retained some features of calligraphy, hence an appropriate choice for continuous reading. The typeface is equipped with a variety of stroke weights, all highly legible .

Dom was designed by Peter Dombrezian for American Type Founders in 1951–52. It is an informal unjoined script typeface that looks brushwritten. Its letters are almost monotone, freely or casually drawn. Vertical strokes of them have irregular ending at different heights, and oval axis have slightly different slopes. This typeface is to create a friendly, informal look in signs, advertising, and invitations. The Cyrillic version of the Bitstream digital font was developed by Dmitry Kirsanov for ParaType in 2008.

Pelle Piano is the stage name for Per Ellstrom, a musician in Stockholm with an interest in irregular and informal lettering. ITC Coolman was inspired by lettering styles of the 1950s. “I have a passion for old '50s type lettering,” says Piano, “as seen on posters from B-movies and pocketbooks and cartoons.” Although ITC Coolman is not a script face, its caps work best with the lowercase, rather than together. The funky, bouncy look of Coolman cries out for beach movies.

Based on drawings of Medieval versals (capitals used at beginning of verses in manuscripts) by Frederic W. Goudy. Works beautifully as initials with Goudy Text Oldstyle. Uppercase only, no numerals or punctuation; several letters have alternates. Framed, inversed caps are also included. This version of Lombardy Capitals is purposely less regular and clean-cut than some available to maintain a more hand-drawn look similar to the irregularities that would be found in a Medieval manuscript. The alternates help contribute to that look.

Blade A rustic, dapper handwritten font with a personal charm. Earlier this year, my eyes fell upon a discarded wedding invitation on the sidewalk. A closer look at it revealed that it had at one point been victimized by rain. Some of the fancy script letters were not quite broken, but sort of melted and run-down, while the rest were still somewhat intact. That's how Scroll was conceived, as an idea for a script where thicks and thins blend to produce a wet appearance. Unlike most available broken scripts, the Scroll script was originally drawn in its own juiced context, and not based on any existing script. This font is great for atmospheric antiquity, deep natural poetry, still life captioning, gothic music posters and collateral, or horror literature and poetry covers.
