I started to work at the Bernhard Studio in 1952 to 1959 in New York. I helped with some type designs and many other projects, this two tiered signature was added on all of Bernhard’s art that was produced in the past and in his later years. In the 50’s I thought Bernhard’s Gothic face was quite a bit outdated but as you may know it has become one of todays most used faces. His signature is based on his Bernhard Gothic Font. With todays computer technology I have digitized the caps and added lower case glyphs with lower ascenders and other slight changes.

LinkeHand Pro was based on the handwriting of Oliver Linke. Due to its rather compact appearance with short ascenders and descenders LinkeHand can be used with rather tight line spacing. Both Regular and Bold come with Small Caps and a multitude of special ligatures to make LinkeHand look really manually written.

This script font was inspired by the type called “Bastarde Flamande”, a much appreciated one in the Duke of Burgundy’s court at the end of 1400s for handwritten books. A book titled Histoire Romaine (Roman history), from Roman author Tite Live, translated in French by Pierre Bersuire, circa 1475, was our main source for drawing the lower case characters and many of the upper case. Each character was written by hand with a quill pen on rough paper so as to look like the originals as much as possible. This font includes “long s”, naturally, as typically medieval , also a few ligatures, final and initial characters but there aren't any abbreviations because the text was written in French rather than Latin. Oildale is a single weight, connecting script that explores the idea of using crossed strokes as the main body of the typeface. Designed as a display font, it’s bold form and unique appearance lend it a distinctive charm that can be used in branding, headlines or other titling. Featuring an extended Latin support covering a wide range of langages, it also includes a range of Opentype options, from a choice of numerals, ligatures or decorative, swash letters.

For our modern/futuristic fonts collection we wanted something truly science fictional, so Dave Nalle designed the Alecto font, an original design with a futuristic look, but some echoes of the type designs and lettering of the Arts & Crafts period. It looks much more modern, but you can see echoes of some of our other fonts like Semiramis in the design. Alecto features multiple versions of many of the characters to make it ideal for designing logos and titles.

Briosh - a hand drawn script font. Beautiful and elegant but at the same time unique thanks to its ending letters. It is stretched and not in a hurry , attracts attention and is perfect for creating logos, greeting cards, branding, book covers and many others. Alternative characters will help you create a project that is not repeatable. I decided to reflect this font in two styles, clean and rough, as you can see in the preview image. Enjoy using!
