Wolfsblood is a new display face by Jim Ford, adapted from hand-lettered logos spawned by punk rock bands like The Misfits and Bad Brains. The style can be traced back further to Hollywood and the explosion of low-budget exploitation, horror and sci-fi films, which also had an influence in punk rock. Wolfsblood captures this bizarre dark-spirited lettering which has become a staple in the designer‘s work for bands and posters. The Wolfsblood font has an expanded character set with borders, dingbats (yes, Bats!), and contextual ligatures programmed to give the typeface a random appearance by default. As with some of Jim‘s other typographic experiments, Wolfsblood encourages the designer to play with upper and lowercase, and mixed-case settings, to replicate the decisions that a lettering artist might make. Frederic Goudy designed National Old Style Roman in 1916. It is loosely based on a logo he lettered for the National Biscuit Company in 1901. Steve Matteson expanded on Goudy’s original by designing a bold, semibold and matching italics. While much of Goudy’s work is strongly influenced by Venetian types of the 15th and 16th centuries - this design has a truly American quality about it. Presenting… a Western style alphabet from the 1960 edition of Samuel Welo’s “Studio Handbook for Artists and Advertisers”… Extra bold, featuring slab serifs and concave corners, this type style could easily have been found on building signage in the Old West… but in redrawing it digitally, it’s been named Modern West JNL because at one time, this would have been considered a modern style of lettering. Modern West JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Most folks might picture wood type lettering as the fancy styles of the 1880s which so perfectly evoked images of the Old West. Occasionally there is an exception to that rule, as an online image of some vintage wood letters with an Art Deco influence inspired a revival as a digital type face. The Scaffoldini Family provides four different isometric perspectives and is suitable in use in science, engineering and sci-fi themed projects or however you see fit. The lines are formed by bubbles (or circle bricks in Fontstruct) and appear smoother the smaller the size of the type. These are not straight line segments and the gylphs will appear bubbly (scalloped edges) at larger size. Please be aware of this feature of the font before you purchase.

Baraka - in Swahili - a blessing. It is a simple, block-like typeface closed in cuboids. It was created and designed in Tanzania, Africa. It contains 183 gliphs, which due to their simplicity, which consisted in cutting out letters from rectangles using as little light as possible, makes an impression and is in fact a very heavy display typeface. The April 8, 1932 issue of The Film Daily ran an ad for a film entitled "The Sin of Lena Rivers". Hand lettered in a block style of chamfered characters, it is reminiscent of the 1920s, but still carries a touch of Art Deco influences with the thinner and extended horizontal strokes of the E, F and H. This retro sans serif design is now available digitally as Evil Ways JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

You may already have guessed it...Litter Funk is experimental typography. Some letters are fat blocks, others have stars, stripes or dots, some are funny and funky while others are plain weird - but all in all, they leave a really nice confusing effect when used. Due to the contextual alternates, each letter comes in 5 different versions, and automatically cycle as you type. Well, the font was fun to make - I hope you have fun using it! :)

A contemporary interpretation of grotesque (historic) typestyle, relying on geometric shapes applied to a grid. Idiosyncrasies within the typeface are based on how this grid is constructed and applied rather than those inherent in drawing type with a pen or cutting from a block of wood. Other grot types retain the quirks of original woodcut typefaces. Elephant has a different vocabulary of quirks that remove it from being too reverential or constrained to a historic context.

This growing family of friendly faces is based on the typeface Bravour, designed in 1913 by Martin Jacoby-Boy for the D. Stempel AG foundry in Frankfurt am Main. The wide stance and very large x-height shared by the family members makes them warm and inviting, and equally suitable for use in headlines or text blocks. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

This clean looking (all caps) font has characters made of gaps, which form the stencil divisions, spaced evenly along the strokes. The letterforms have a well-proportioned constructional appearance. The characters look like they have been built from interlocking bricks, the stencil gaps give them both rhythm and texture. The sans serif typeface also has a sense of movement because of the way the stencil gaps follow the horizontal, vertical or curved direction of the stroke.

The Regular typeface was researched with children and developed specially for use in children’s reading books - bridging the gap between reading and handwriting. Short ascenders and descenders may not trouble literate adults but it is quite a different matter for children struggling to read. Citadina font family has been designed for Graviton Font Foundry by Pablo Balcells in 2016. It is a sans serif typeface with a geometrical, mechanic, neutral appearence and a slightly condensed design which makes it particularly effective for space economizing. It has been conceived to be most suitable for short and middle length text blocks, as well as on all sized headlines. Citadina consists of 12 styles. Each containing small caps and glyph coverage for several languages.

On April 20, 1950, film comedian Jerry Lewis indulged his love of cameras by opening up Jerry Lewis’ Camera Exchange on Vine Street in Hollywood. It closed in 1951. Thanks to an image preserved within newsreel footage of the shop’s grand opening night, a glimpse of the post-Art Deco signage with its unusual, block style lettering inspired a digital version. Highly unusual and best for novelty projects, Shutterbug JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Blockrock is an OpenType typeface that lets you build letters right away. Use the different weights to construct 3-dimensional letter-buildings. It is inspired by the apartment living blocks in the center of East Berlin built in the 60s. The regular font contains more complex letter buildings, while the simple font has simplified and plain letters in two different levels. Blockrock comes with kerning and a full Western and Central European language support, including Baltic and Turkish.

ITC Santangeli is based on an eighteenth century manuscript by Italian writing master Benedetto Santangeli. Giuseppe Errico's design exudes the elegance and patina of a baroque sculpture. The capitals have verve, and the richly flowing ascenders and descenders enhance the vintage panache of the design. Errico has even included alternate characters and ink splotches to enable a realistic reproduction of antique lettering. Whether for large display copy or short blocks of text, Santangeli speaks with resonance and grace.

Bitblox fonts are based on the lettering created for Glyfyx’ eponymous wooden alphabet blocks. The characters are inspired by the low-res bitmap lettering seen on early generation computer devices. The Bitblox family consists of eight pixelated fonts, including a trio of styles that stack up to create a colorful, dimensional effect. An extensive multi-styled dingbat collection is also included.
