I wanted to create a "handwriting" font which could be used professionally. I have often needed such a font with a variety of weights and styles for a particular project and have had to resort to mixing fonts, creating a rather messy, amateur job. Camy is named for a little village in South West France where I did much of the initial work on this font. Camy is ideal for contemporary display work, comes in ten styles, and has a contemporary appeal with its casual, easy to read letters. Camy was designed as a total professional package for designers looking for a handwritten font suitable for all kinds of contemporary display work: the idea being that once you have the Camy Professional Pack you don't have to waste time searching for other handwritten fonts. Hermann Zapf and Akira Kobayashi redeveloped Palatino for the 21st Century, creating Palatino nova. The Palatino nova family also includes revised versions of Aldus (now called Aldus nova). A bold weight is added into the font family. The character set support is similar to Palatino nova, but Greek and Cyrillic are not available in book weight fonts.

Arequipa is a Latin font with serifs generally top left. The style is influenced by Aztec and Inca designs the Bold weight is excellant for Headline and the lighter weights work well in limited text. The geometric shape of the serifs, ij dots, full point, comma and cap Q give the font an unusual and distinctive look.

Argenta is an informal, "hand-printing" font that has the appearance of writing by a child in elementary school. Argenta comes in three weights and has an oblique style for each weight. The child handwriting characteristic is developed in the ArgentaBobbed fonts, which add dots or little balls to the ends of letters. (Could they be called, "Ball Serif?")

French Script font is based on script handwriting and engraving used in formal announcements and invitations in general, and specifically on a 1905 ATF face named Typo Upright," by Morris Fuller Benton. French Script lends itself to typesetting in which an elegant mood is desired. French Script is an upright script font with an engraved appearance and decorative capitals. "

Monospaceland is a round monospaced typeface in 7 weights with rich language support (Cyrillic included), small capitals, and some double-width alternatives for added fun. Minigap is a geometric sans serif family that has a minimal height difference between upper and lower case. In other words for those who are into typography, it has a very high x-height. The choice was made to finally have a typeface that could appear very neat, reducing ascending and descending parts of the glyphs (b, d, g, j, l, ...) that could interfere with the lines above and below. All of that without going to extremes in a unicase style but also without renouncing to a great legibility. This aesthetic, in fact, translates into a pleasant visual effect that creates well-defined lines and enhances the layout, looking excellent also on small screens. The pointed corners of capital letters and numbers have been kept even in the heavier styles, to give consistency to the family. Stylistic alternates are included: “i” and “j” can be set to the x-height, to have a more common aesthetic; by default they are set in the lower version, fitting better the purpose of this typeface. the two-story “a” is also available, to give you one more customizable option and extend the range of use. The initial inspiration for CA Spotnik was the opening title of an early Andrei Tarkovsky movie. There was this very unconventional hand drawn “s” which drew my attention. Despite its strange shape, it felt totally natural in that context. So we made a few screenshots and started to sketch some more letters in order to catch the spirit that attracted us so much. The result is a grotesque typeface with a slight contrast, the proportions are rather wide with a large x-height. The bolder the weight, the wider it gets. In case you find the swirly “s” uncomfortable, there is a standard s included as well. The general atmosphere of the typeface, which could be described as “nerdy but friendly” doesn’t depend on this detail. It’s rather the sum of details derived from the original inspiration.

The Yasmine Mutamathil type family follows the guidelines of the Mutamathil type style. It has only one glyph for every basic Arabic Unicode character or letter. The Yasmine Mutamathil family includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures and selected marks positioning so it does use limited glyph substitutions or forming. Yasmine Mutamathil employs four fixed x-height values, two above and two below the x-axis. Values are high to give a slight vertical overall look. Its design uses full curves with equally distributed weight. Text strings composed using types of this family are non-cursive with stand- alone isolated glyphs. The Yasmine Mutamathil family includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals, all required diacritic marks, Allah ligature, in addition to all standard English keyboard punctuations and major currency symbols. It is available in regular, italic, bold, and bold italic styles.

Welcome Amica Pro, a workhorse sans designed to give your branding a friendly, approachable look. What is it that makes a typeface friendly? Eclectotype undertook extensive research* in this and the results are in! To cut a long story short, friendliness in sans serif fonts can be summed up in two words – short and fat. Basically, think Danny DeVito in letter form. The shortness in Amica Pro is achieved (somewhat counterintuitively) by pushing up the x-height. This, coupled with short ascenders and descenders, gives the text a squat appearance. For the fatness, that's easy in the bolder weights, but how to carry this through to the lights? Here, the fatness equates to roundness, so the letterforms, even if the stroke weight is light, have a rotund appearance from the wideness and roundness of the circular glyphs. When thinking about friendliness, we think about inclusiveness. To this end, Amica Pro supports a super wide range of latin-based languages, as it uses Underware's Latin Plus character set, as well as extra support for Vietnamese. Amica Pro is best used for branding, logos, infographics etc. It will give your UI a friendlier feel, but that doesn't mean it's not serious. There are many useful typographic features, including alternates, numerous figure styles, automatic fractions and case-sensitive forms. The italics are carefully optically corrected "sloped romans" and as such they are the same width as their upright equivalent, so changing your copy to italics will not mess around with the spacing. *I looked at a few fonts and drew some lazy conclusions.
