Erich Heckel (1883 - 1970) was a German painter and printmaker. He was a founding member of Die Brücke (The Bridge), a group of German expressionists. Heckel font somewhat resembles the loose (and messy) handwriting Erich Heckel used in some of his drafts.

Initially inspired by an untitled typeface from an old hand-lettering book, Berber has been extensively developed over two incarnations to function as a very strong and confident sans. The 2011 Berber revisions have enabled Berber to be used across longer settings as well as its more conventional use on larger applications such as signage. Berber was used as the text face for issue 46 of Eye, the graphic design journal. The typeface now features both king caps and small caps. Extensive additions to the numerals sets and complete opentype sets of international diacritics also extend its usage.

Breakers is a sans serif originally conceived to be a display typeface. Works great in text also, but the diversity in weights is its strong point. Franca is a neo-grotesk family in nine weights plus matching italics. The inspiration for the design came through the constant interest in new interpretations of the classic grotesk model and a study of "neutral“ typefaces like Helvetica, Univers or Normal Grotesk. Carte Blanche literally means 'Blank Ticket'. Yeah, yeah, it is also a very 007-ish catchphrase, but I wanted to give this elegant font a 'stylish' name and Carte Blanche popped up. All glyphs were hand drawn on a rather expensive piece of heavy-weight paper and were put into the font in between changing nappies, bouts of the flu and the subsequent wiping of snotty noses.
