HS Alwafa is an Arabic display typeface. It is useful for book titles and creative graphic projects where a contemporary, streamlined look is desired for digital purposes. The font is based on the simple lines of sequre Kufi calligraphy, that support Arabic, Persian, Urdu and Kurdish. This font was created in the beginning as a digital weight in 2012 for use by an engineering digital company. The company tends to follow the geometrical united and equal shape in both vertical and horizontal dimensions and with a tendency for digital strokes showing digital numbers under the name of base. I followed that with three styles: first, the digital with a solid base, second is a stencil and the third is the regular solid font. By producing this font, we provided the Arabic fonts library with various styles which grant many design purposes.

When Jim Lee sent us pages of his latest project, DIVINE RIGHT, we knew we had to do something special for him. Something Unique. We knew we had to create a whole new look for his book. Coal Brush is a bit of a misleading name. It looks as though it was made with a brush, but it was, in fact, made with a almost dried out old marker pen. But a font named ‘dried out old marker pen’ doesn’t really fly, so I decided to pimp the name. There you have it, you can’t even trust an honest typographer! Marker pen or brush, Coal Brush is a very sweet little font. It is all caps, but upper and lower case differ and can be mixed freely. Plus there’s a hidden stash of alternates for the lower case letters and an alternate ampersand! I actually threw that in to make up for my lie. So, use it for your books, your posters, your rap albums, rock operas, grilled food restaurants and designer BBQ sauces. It’s yours for the taking!

The 2nd installment of the Enchanted Land family takes us on another medieval adventure, opting to completely rebuild instead of refining the legacy script. More emphasis was put into the undulating nature of the Uppercase characters and how they keep your eyes flowing. For this reason, straight lines and right angles are rarely used in favor of flamboyant terminals and wispy swashes. Lowercase characters, by contrast, adhere to a consistent model defined by its straightened edges and sharp corners. This script flirts with several old world styles but seeks only to borrow elements rather than completely emulate them. German Blackletter, Old English, Uncial, Victorian, it’s in there! We have used a facsimile from this catalogue to reconstruct this present font, as one example of the poet’s personal hands but also as a typical example of the British quill pen handwriting from about mid 1600’s to the beginning of 1700’s . As a family, we love to go camping. We have a big Norwegian tunnel tent (4 season - with room for a wood stove), some really warm down sleeping bags and a primitive field kitchen. Even though our camping trips are usually devoid of luxury, the kids love them! We always choose campsites that are close to nature, like a national park or in the mountains. A couple of years ago, we toured the southern part of England and one of our camping stops was in Exmoor National Park. Minehead is a small coastal town, not far from where we camped, so I named this font after a fond memory! Minehead is a handmade display font. It was loosely based on Haettenschweiler. Use it for your packaging, your tourist information leaflets and your book covers. And do visit Minehead one day!
